Holds Large Vinyls and small 7"
This record holder makes a great gift during christmas to those not so special relatives you can never buy anything for. It holds up to 15 old vinyl records, including the cover. I gave my uncle one of these along with 22 scratched Bing Crosby records and he really loved it.

    Keeps the Weber Q clean
If you store your Weber Q outside, then you must get the vinyl cover. The material is well made so the cover will never rip. Fits perfect on the Weber Q. I Love it.

close shave left nicks, and missed hairs
95% impressive close, fast shave...BUT after 25days of wet and dry shaving, the shaver left nicks. Never had an electric shaver draw blood before! And it still had difficulty with "sideways neck hairs." What's the advantage of fast shave if after finishing most of the job in a minute, you're stuck fussing over some hairs that lay down flat under the foil. This might be a good shaver for fast growing thick staight up beards but for all the slow growing scraggly cantankerous eccentric beards out there... you might do better with a quadra three head Norelco.

In a league of its own!
After using the Norelco Quadra 7864XL (same as 7865 but the blue version sold at [local store]) I thought that I wouldn't be able to find an electric shaver comparable to a razor. The 7864XL left short stubble on my face and neck regardless of the number of passes. The Norelco rather than cutting hairs under the skin level seemed to give a close trim which meant that the shave lasted only half the day. I was sick of shaving twice a day.

After seeing the reviews online on the ES8003W, I decided to purchase it...I was amazed with the results from the first shave. Following Panasonic's recommendations, I used a thin layer of Gillete Shaving Foam and got a shave that was closer at the end of the day than Norelco's at the beggining, and with only minimal irritation (the irritation went away after a few days). I also found that after using a skin cleanser on my face, the shave became even closer. Now, I'm able to get a shave that lasts the entire day (and leaves your face feeling like a baby's but) and leaves little or no stubble even at the end of the day. I couldn't be happier with this product. It feels well built, and is extremely easy to clean (simply clean with water and soap). A light sensor also guarantees that the blades move at 13,000 RPM even when the battery is low. The NiMH batteries used by the Panasonic can also be recharged at any time, and can not be overcharged. Unfortunately, Norelco's Quadra line uses a NiCD battery with no overcharge protection, which also must be drained of battery life before it can be recharged.

    amazed long time electric user
I've used exclusively electric razors for 25 years,
Norelco,Remington, and then Braun. The Braun foil
type seemed to give me the closest shave, but
was hard to keep clean and wasn't all that close.

It is truly amazing what a step up it is using this Panasonic.
I've never had a shave this close --stays smooth all day -- easy to keep sparkling clean, AND so much more comfortable used wet with shaving foam. The closeness
is a revolution -- I'm a new man, and I've only been using
this shaver for a week. But I'm now a lifetime convert, never going back!
This is the first time I've written a review for amazon--I haven't found such an easy improvement in my day to day
life in years, so couldn't resist saying so.

    Grinds great but is messy
All the reviews had one major complaint, that it is messy. I tried grinding coffee beans and also the spices. End result was the same. You get finely ground product but the grains do come out and get in to the edges. It is definitely a design flaw. Yes it is small, cool looking and grinds great but cleaning is mess. Also you need to keep the top lid pressed to run the grinder (which I am sure yawl know). So if you do not have it pressed firmly(all the way down) then chances are that the grains are going to sneak out. I am going to return this and buy something more practical.

Burr grinder is unnecessary when you learn to use this.
After "borrowing" my mother's burr grinder for a year, I finally decided to buy my own coffee-grinding apparatus. However, not having the bucks for a burr, I knew it'd have to be a blade, and this made me sad and worried about my future coffee. I thought, "How will I get the exact even grind that I need without a fabulous burr grinder? A blade can never do this!" Ha! I've done the experiment. Over the last 2 months, using my shiny new red Kitchenaid blade coffee grinder, I made grinds for my French press pot (6 seconds), my drip maker (12 seconds), and my stovetop espresso pot (20 seconds + some scraping), all with delicious results. I've found that the necessary grind can be achieved with experience. It takes just a few uses to figure out the amount of time needed to yield a specific coarseness/fineness. To get espresso-fine, because those very fine grounds tend to clump, I have to scrape the bottom of the generously-sized, removable stainless steel bowl once or twice during grinding, but so what? The point is, it can and does grind fine. Evenness is imperfect, but not enough to stand between me and great coffee. Messy? Sometimes, but not enough to stand between me and great coffee. The price? Definitely not enough to stand between me and great coffee. And surprisingly, I don't miss the burr grinder at all.

Good looking & easy to use grinder
This grinder is a good buy, and looks good enough to leave out on the counter. The removable grinding compartment is modeled after a blender's, but twists on and off more easily. I haven't put it in the dishwasher (might dull the blades), but being able to wash it by hand is a big improvement over my old Braun blade grinder, which I had to swab out with a paper towel. The lid rinses off easily, and it's a nice thick kind of plastic (acrylic?). There are a few grounds spilled on your countertop when you remove the lid, but you have to expect that when you grind coffee beans. I like the way it grinds just by pressing on the top of the lid, pretty effortless. And if you're not a coffee purist, you can store the ground coffee you don't use right away in the grinding compartment, with the lid on. That's a time saver, and it stays fresh enough (for me). I'd planned to get a burr grinder, but am glad I "settled" for this one, no regrets.

Works Speedily and Lasts a Long Time!
I've had my little grinder for more than 6 years now. I use it for grinding nuts (I'm not a coffee drinker) and I'm always amazed that it grinds everything so quickly and neatly. It was so easy to use that I even let my 5 year old help the last time I needed to grind almonds. The only thing is that it's hard to get every bit of ground stuff out... there's always a little bit of grounds left. I suppose I could get it out with a dental pick or a Q-tip or something, but a regular cleaning doesn't get it all. Other than that, it works great!

Except for the cheap feel it is perfect!
It is hard to find a grinder with all of the features you like in one machine. I have owned several Krups, but now the plastic cup on top is too shallow and if you grind a full amount you can't invert the ground coffee into the clear cup. Some have very inconvenient cord storage...often fraying dangerously at the point where they bend upon attaching to the grinder. I have tried the Melitta Burr grinder...the static electricity (a major consideration) made a mess every time I used it...gave it away. The top feels cheap on this Braun and it is noisy, but it does have all the features I need in one grinder and is an excellent bargain.

    Great little grinder!
We received this coffee grinder as a gift about 5 years ago, and it's still going strong. It's fairly loud but quite fast: in only a few seconds, you can have aromatic, finely ground coffee, and nary a bean in the mix! It's true that the capacity is small, but I've never found this to be a problem, especially since the best coffee requires freshly ground beans. And although the unit is not dishwasher safe, I've never had a problem with cleanup either, as I just rinse out the plastic cup and use a damp paper towel to wipe out the interior. This inexpensive, easy-to-use tool is a perfect addition to your kitchen!

Good grill brush, but not the best price.

The brush itself is very good. Sturdy and well designed. The handle is long enough to let you scrub the grill while it's still warm and strong enough to let you use some elbow-grease. The bristles are densely packed for better scrubbing. If they were longer you could get a bit more of the grate at one time, but I don't think they'd scrub as well (since it's the tips of the bristles that do the real scrubbing and not the sides). The curved scraper does a good job getting each individual rail of the grate clean too.

I have only two complaints. First, the wood can get pretty dirty after a while and is hard to clean. Second, this isn't the best price I've seen for this brush. I've seen it at almost half price at the local [store]. In general, I'm very happy with the prices on Amazon, but I was disappointed when I saw this for much less at the store.

Anyhow, if you're buying a grill (like I did from Amazon) then definitely get yourself a good brush like this to keep it clean. If you're still using steel wool to clean the grill, you'll like this much better. Don't use it to clean the dog...long story.

Hope this helps and good luck with your purchase!

    Good for cleaning the grill
This is a lot nicer to use than the nylon composite scrub pads or steel wool but...why did they use a wooden handle? Eventually, this handle will crack. And forget soaking it to clean the bristles. I personally favor a plastic handle, but even so, this brush is a classic for getting the residue off the grill and a must-have, wood handle or not.

    Very effective and practical
The 18" brush from weber is very well built and is quite effective at getting remnants of the ceramic grates on my weber genesis silver grill. The length is just right, and the weight of the brush helps to clean well. Skip the 12" and pay the extra few $$ for the 18", it really makes a difference.

    Don't bother
Worked fine for about a dozen bottles, then broke. Same thing happened with one my mother-in-law bought for herself. I would not recommend.

    Complements traditional wine
Traditional wine bottles are sealed with corks. The Screwpull does a fine job with only two simple lever movements of removing the cork. Wax-sealed corks are another matter. Wax is a challenge for all types of conventional wine openers including this one. For operation with wax I recommend removing the screw every 10 bottles and cleaning off the wax in order to preserve its slippery Teflon surface. When the screw gets coated with wax it is resistive to penetrating a cork, thus it exerts vertical pressure on the cork and drives it inside the bottle - not a good thing when your guests are wearing a white top and you're opening a bottle of red - keep those screws clean, Teflon or not.

Other than the wax issue the Screwpull works great and is a nice tool to have in the kitchen. If we all stayed away from high production wines with those waxed bottles the world would be a better place and the Screwpull would be an absolute dream. The Screwpull is well-built and sturdy - highly recommended!

It doesn't get better than this
This is it--the end of the wine opener line. It takes about 2 minutes to get the hang of gracefully gripping the top of a wine bottle with the handles, and when to flip the lever up (which leads the teflon screw to do an effortless swan dive through the cork) vs. flipping it down (to extract the cork), but once you have it down, all other openers seem skimpy and pale. To pop the cork off the screw's tip, you repeat the same motions, with the handles in "closed" position: lever up, lever down. The cork plops onto the nearest surface. The humble foil cutter may seem like an accessory, but it's an essential: it usually takes about a half twist around the top to lift foil; if the cork is capped with wax instead, you don't even need the cutter--the screw slips right through wax. From foil to cork-plop takes about 10 seconds. It works on the nastiest, most resistant corks (even crumblers and stubborn synthetics). If you're entertaining, and opening more than one bottle, let your guests see you open the first--without fail, they'll want to try it. Designers love it. Engineers like to figure out what the gear mechanism is up to. Wine connoisseurs already own it. I received mine as a gift, but if it ever disappears, I'll spring for the high-altitude price. Individual pieces in this gift set are also worth owning, including the spare teflon screw--which is one of the keys to the opener's success. (After 6 months my original screw is nowhere near needing replacing.) I only wish the name of this wonderful thing matched the elegance of its design. Note: the Metrokane Rabbit is based on the same design for a notably lower price, so it's a good option--but I've tried both, and for me this is just It--it's sturdier, has a great hinged storage box that fits in a drawer, and there are no ifs. (The one time I used a Rabbit, it wouldn't let go of the extracted cork.)

A Reasonably Good Buy, Could Be Easier to Clean
My wife got this for me for Valentine's Day. I put the coffee beans in and yes, after pushing the button, they were ground up in a few seconds.

I agree with previous reviewers that clean up is not this items strong suit. I will probably dedicate a toothbrush to clean it, as the bowel is not removeable, and the directions tell you not to immerse the unit in water. So for spices, I would not recommend this item. (I prefer a mortar and pestle for this, anyway.)

For the price you pay, you get a pretty good coffee grinder.

    A fine grinder
...this guy is. It grinds coffee. What more is there to possibly say about it? It does what it's supposed to do, uniformly, and well. The end result is consistent, providing I count off a consistent time (the same could not be said for the previous beast that dwelled in my kitchen). It's a good grinder---I use it fairly heavily: grinding about a half-pound every six or eight days (what can I say? I'm a student. Caffeine is my lifeblood.). I have had my unit for over a year, and it has neither developed irritating quirks nor broken and needed replacing: the blades have also remained sharp.

The single word of advice that I would attach to this would be that you might wish a good, fairly long-handled and firm-bristled brush to clean it with: the shape of the lid and of the unit's base is such that grounds seem to adhere to the crevices. This is nothing that a washing of the lid can't address, but dunking the base in the sink has always seemed, well...inadvisable? It's a dependable machine: worth the money.

    A Houshold must!
I have recently used this product at my niece's home, and now have it on my 'wish-list'!! What a wonderful, all-purpose grinder that can be used not only for coffee beans, but for nuts, spices and herbs and more. This product can grind as coarse or fine as one desires and is so easy to use and clean.
A MUST for any well-equiped kitchen!! Yeah...and the price is RIGHT!

6885 XL Not Up To Standard!
I bought this razor a month ago, because I thought I could save time with a fast, electric shave. It has always been a pain for me to wake up every morning a couple of minutes earlier just so that I could soak my face in hot water to get a closer shave. After arriving to work late a couple of times, due to the long process of soaking/shaving in the morning, I thought it was time for an electric. I used my friend's Braun razor on which he spent 50 bucks, but I found the closeness of Braun to be around 80 percent to that of a blade. So I was thinking by spending 150 bucks on Norelco's top-of-the-line razor, that I would have a nice quick & easy shave in the morning comparable to my blade. Boy was I wrong!

Norelco states in their manuals that you should use their shavers for 21 days straight. After a week, I noticed that the skin around my neck started to turn red. My friends would laugh at me because I literally had a "red-neck". Then I would use after-shave thinking that would work. But by the second week, my skin was so irritated that it broke out into a rash. I didn't even make the 21 days. I thought to myself, "was worth it to spend 150 bucks so that my neck could break out into a rash?" Obviously it wasn't.

I returned the razor the next day and went back to my blades. Hopefully you'll have better luck than me with this razor, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone I know.

    Great shaver, but...
I was thrilled when I got my Norelco 6885XL about a month back. I read the users manual and noticed the fact that it takes at least 21 days to get used to the shaver. Although my facial hair grows very fast, I usually tend to shave once in a couple of days. Considering this, I felt I should give myself atleast 40 days to get used to the shaver. I have to tell you that I was not disappointed save for nitpicky problems! The shaver has some excellent features and a couple of could-be-better aspects. I have listed the pros and cons below.

    Pros:

    1. Great design - Fits perfectly in your hand.

    2. LOVE the LCD - The display is great with a lot of features (backlit with minutes remaining, cleaning reminder, charge reminder etc).

    3. Effective blades - The three rotating, swiveling heads are very efficient, the Quadra Action works well and the motors are extremely quiet.

    4. Built-in trimmer - Works well with sideburns.

    5. Cleaning - You will drop down on your knees and thank Norelco for making the shaver so easy to clean! Just hold the shaver under warm/hot water and it cleans in a jiffy! No brushes (although it is included), no blowing and getting hair in your eyes, no fear of using a shaver with a wet face, and so on. This is one of the best features, in my opinion.

    6. Incredible warranty - Norelco fixes or replaces anything and everything for for two years! The warranty is so good that they replace the charger cord, brush and the protective cap even if you lose them, all for just shipping charges.

    7. Nice stand to place the shaver when not in use.

    Cons:

    1. It takes a LONG time for the regions of the neck and chin to get used to the shaver. I am not entirely satisfied with the shave because of this, but I hope it gets better with time.

    2. The 6885XL does not come with the car adapter, which is sold separately, while the 6886XL (sold at warehouse stores like Costco and Sam's Club) includes the car adapter for the same price.

    3. The minutes remaning on the LCD is deceptive in the beginning as it does not display the right amount of time left. This fact was in the manual but I overlooked it. It takes about 4-5 charges for it to display the accurate time remaining for some reason. The good part is that no matter what, the shaver gets to a full 45 minute charge in barely an hour!

    4. While the carry case is bulky, it is very effective in the fact that it protects the shaver well, and is cleverly designed to hold the shaver, the charger (without the big plug getting in the way) and brush.

Before I bought the shaver, I had shortlisted my choice down to two. The 6885XL and the Braun Syncro (with LCD). While both are considered equally good, people tend to overlook one main problem with the Syncro. The self-cleaning cartridges. While they are readily available now, each of them costs around $10 and last for a month with average shaving. This means you have to invest $10 a month to keep the shaver clean or risk getting the blades dull. The Norelco has easy cleaning, and no added charges after the purchase except for new blades every year.

Finally, I gave it 4 stars only because of my problem with the effectiveness of the shaver in the neck regions. I am hoping that gets better soon and I don't have to use a regular razor to shave for the finishing touches. I strongly recommend the Norelco 6885XL (better yet, 6886XL). You won't be disappointed. My mornings are much less of a chore now! :-)

    The Daddy of Shavers
This shaver is the DADDY of all shavers. First, a little background. Most recently I used the Gillette Mach 3 razor which does a very good job. However the time to shave with a blade it too consuming, therefore, i switched to electric.

    Now here's why I give the 6885XL 5 stars:

    - Closest shave yet. This is the first electric razor I've used that shaves as close as a blade (including the Mach 3).

    - Great for guy with sensitive skin

    - It's quiet!!!

    - Easy to clean. Open the top and run hot water through it. An indicator will remind you when it's time to clean.

    - Sweet LCD Display

Sure, this is an expensive razor. Nevertheless, it provides the best shave ever. It's got all the bells and whistles a guy would want. If the price is a little too high, you might want to try the quadra action model without the lcd, it is much cheaper. However, if money is not an issue, go with the 6885XL, you won't regret it.

Great news! E.S.E. 44mm adapter available for one:one!
I have the One:One in my office because it is a great machine. However, Melitta and podhead.com pods are a little weak for someone like me who enjoys strong espresso.

I just discovered that a UK company has made an adapter for the One:One to use 44mm pods such as Illy's E.S.E. pods (the One:One adapter is "UDM"). Since I think Illy espresso coffee is the very best, I'm very happy about this. For more info, check out the pod adapter secion of this webpage: http://www.easypods.co.uk

Adequate for its Purpose; Not Gourmet
I bought this coffee maker because I wanted something I could use when I was at work after hours. This was ideal because it didn't require nearly as much attention or work as a traditional coffee maker. The coffee is not gourmet, but not bad. My preference is the dark roast (or the decaf if I'm working late). I'm in rural North Dakota, so I'm not spoiled to gourmet coffee anyway: I can't get it anywhere. When I first got it, I was ready to return it. It took the machine about a week to work through the scary plastic/metal flavors. Now it tastes more like coffee. I wish the java pods were available locally, but I'm aware that this part of the USA doesn't have a lot of things. I also wish other companies, besides Melitta, would start making java pods. Finally, I also wish I had more choice over the cup size: a dial. 5 oz is too strong and 8 oz is too weak Nevertheless for quick, clean, coffee served fresh a cup at a time, this machine is the best I have seen.

    It's decent
This is NOT a GREAT coffee maker, but it's decent. I use it at the office about 3-4 times a week, and it does the job. I get 'fresh'ly brewed coffee that tastes good (IMO). The coffee is definitely not Peet's, but will do the job without having to leave the office.
The big advantage of this machine is the cleanup factor. No messy grinds to deal with.
I haven't tasted the "metallic" or "cardboard" flavours that otheres have complained about, but then maybe my taste isn't in-tune like some.
