I have used a set of these skewers for a few years. I am buying a couple more sets. I haven't had any problem with rust. Meats and vegetables stay put with double pronged skewers. An improvement would be to taper the ends. I would rate at five stars if the ends were more pointed.

Developed by the master Chef Heyonguen Chuw in Hong Kong, these skewers make excellent tools for the noted acupunturist. They are lightweight, easy to use, and available in numerous colors. A great gift for people who are color blind also.

I am so tired of slippery food sliding off skewers when you try to turn them over! These double-pronged skewers really work at keeping food on the skewers, and even better, from sliding around when you try to turn them over. I must have looked pretty funny in the past trying turn shrimp over to cook on the other side while they twirled around and around the skewer, always with the cooked side down! But no more! I always hand-wash skewers anyway, so have had no rust problems.

This is just a big mess, splashes through lid and runs down side, very displeased. If I bought locally I would return immediately. Just doesn't work well at all. No instructions. DONT BUY

I don't understand how some people can have problems operating this wonderful, foolproof Frother.........all I do every morning is:
1. Fill the caraffe up to the black line with cold milk
2. Heat in microwave oven
3. Move the plunger up and down a few times and - voila -
the most wonderful creamy foam to top my cappuccino.....bye bye Starbucks..................

Very Cool! Easy to use and quick so you are willing to make a great capuccino before jetting out the door. Was using the steam on my machine but it is easier with the frother, great foam!

I think this is a perfect gift to have on hand for that last minute birthday dinner you might have. You cant beat the price and its cute.

It seems like right now Amazon is getting rid of El Paso drink sets so they've dropped the price of the whole line. I've tried a couple of these El Paso gift sets at the vastly reduced prices for presents. I like them so much I kept one of each for entertaining. The martini has the lowest rating on Amazon and only one review. The others are highly rated. I can't figure why the martini set does not have more positive feedback. It's my favorite.

The music CD has some great cocktail standards and some less obvious selections to keep it interesting. I like the olive design of the glass picks. The cocktail olives and onions are pretty typical and come in matching bottles. The drink guide is silly but might be useful to a novice mixologist. Likely your drunken guests will just look at the pictures!

At the list price this is your typical gift set markup ripoff but at the reduced price you could not buy the raw materials in a market let alone add on a swing mix CD.

I gave it five stars to offset the two star review and because at the reduced price you really CAN'T go wrong. At full price I might give it two stars too.

If you are paying [little] for this (as I did) it is definately worth your money. The olives and onions are first-class and the CD is very good too.

Buy a real tamper, not something designed by someone who evidently knows little about coffee making. The rounded edge is inadequate for even packing of your coffee, and without even knowing the diameter of the tamper you might as well save some cash and not pack at all. For proper extraction you have to get a tamper that fits _your_ filter.

My Briel already has this built in.

I'm surprised that the other reviewers are so unhappy with this tamper. I use mine every day and it works great. It's just the right size and weight for my machine plus it looks good and it takes up very little storage space.

My well meaning husband purchased this shaver for my birthday. After using it a few times for one hour on each leg to get a semi-smooth look, I thought it was a major waste of time and money. My beef isn't just with the shaver, it's with the ridiculous wall/outlet charger. Nevermind trying to plug in anything under it as it hangs a little down ...and you definitely can't plug in anything above it while the shaver is charging. You also have to push it into the outlet very hard to make it stay in to charge completely.
If you have baby fine hairs on your legs, then this is the shaver for you. Forget about under the arm or the bikini line, though, cause this "shaver" is more of a hair "saver".

I would recommend this shaver for anyone who is willing to put time and effort into shaving. If you really work with it it does have a very close shave, and the other, less expensive, electric's I've tried don't get as close. But be warned, even though it can get close it can also nick your skin, although it is by far not as painful as using a triple blade razor and the nicks are not frequent what-so-ever. I'd prefer a triple blade, but due to my current finacial situation an electric is much less expensive and this one does do what it needs to do. I like that even if you let your legs get a little hairy, like in the winter, this works much quicker than a triple blade. It's not for everyone, but it works for me.

Bought this one for the Mrs. and after having used a number of this type of shaver, she is quite satisfied with this one. Recharge is easy and the shaver does a great job.

although my rating for this product was only three stars, i was overwhelmed by the design of this product, it was just so captivating in sight and everything about this "dream" refrigerator is just simple remarkable and high tech, so ladies and gentlemen, my final last words for this is... INCREDIBLE.

Not a bad refrig. Overall not a bad product, just a little pricy for this product. I would recommend it for the size and convenience.

Not much to say about this unit... The temperature inside can get VERY cold if you want, or just cool if you want, either way it does the job you asked for. The freezer also works well, makes ice in a flash on the medium temp setting.

Inside, its perfect for holding sodas or beer or what not and holds more than you would think. This unit is not the best for bottled beers though, you have to take out the only rack inside which holds the drip tray.

All in all, this is a great compact refrigerator.

Bubbles were cool, lights were cool, however, the pump fizzled out after a few months of operation. Am currently seeking a new pump.......

...For the money, Homedics' fountains are great! ...Homedics' products fit my budget ... I mean, a fountain is not a necessity to me, so for the money these are GREAT!!! IMHO

Well we have had this for about 2 months now and at first I loved it. Then it seems the pump has quit on us and no more bubbling. Maybe we just got a lemon.......but...all i know is I wish it still worked for the money spent on it.
UPDATE: My hubby looked at this and he said there was some kind of setting thing in it and it works great again..he even was able to increase the bubbles....helps to check out why not work !
ALso..when our bulb burned out it was very easy to replace and they sent 2 extra free bulbs with our light!

Surrogate review for my mom (who's not computer comfortable).

"They're lids," she tells us. "They fit on the bowls pretty well."

So this item apparently does what lids are supposed to do. They cover the bowls. And they fit "pretty well."

Well, they work, and will keep food fresh while being stored in the refrigerator, and keep the bowls clean while in storage. One note, they seem to be overpriced for what you get.

I didn't buy these for food storage - I bought them so I could keep my attachments inside the mixer bowl on the counter, without them getting covered with grease and coffee grounds. For that purpose, these lids are perfect.

The center well looks odd, but it's just the right depth to clear the mixer shaft when the lid is on the bowl on the mixer, and almost the right width to allow two covered bowls to be stacked and stay stable (the base of the top bowl goes into the well in the bottom bowl's lid - the fit is a little tight, but still works).

The lids lost a star because I washed one of them in hot water in the dishwasher (on the bottom rack), and it shrunk slightly. It still goes on the bowl, but it strains to fit. I believe the instructions say "top rack" dishwasher safe, so you could chalk this up to user error, not necessarily to bad design.

The blade broke after 14 months of use. And to take advantage of the warranty, I learned that I was required to send THEM a check for $4.00 for processing costs, not to mention the cost that I would incurr to ship it to them. It was an adequate grinder at best, so I'm definitely not going to bother returning it (I assume that this is Cuisinart's reason for having such a lame warranty in the first place). I wonder if the rest of their product line is like this. Until now, I thought Cuisinart was a name you could trust. I'm very disappointed.

After two months of use, about twice a week, it stopped working. The warrantee is useless. It would cost about as much to ship it there and back as to replace it. Also, Cuisinart customer service is about as useful as the cable company's customer service.

I've never used it for coffee (I don't drink the stuff), but this little gem does a super job grinding spices and dried herbs. I use it even for grinding chunk cinnamon.

Product description doesn't tell you what size filter this is. It is a size 4. It did not fit our size 2 filter holder. Product returned.

While I save the expense of filters, it just doesn't give me that clean taste of coffee that another more metallic brand of permanent filter gives me. In fact it has the look of gold colored nylon versus the more "solid" golden filters of other brands.

Cleaning it is a bear, not so much getting the stains out, that works well enough, but it takes a lot of water to finally purge the filter of grounds that accumulate in various nooks and crannies.

But it's still probably in improvement over the paper filters.

We had to go back to paper filters while our coffee pot and Krups gold filter were in storage during a move. So I had a chance to compare, again, the gold filter versus the paper cones. Here are my observations:

1. It is a pain to remember to buy filters, and sometimes the grocery store is out of stock. I like the brown unbleached filters and those are not always available.

2. If you use this gold-coated filter, you should NOT grind your coffee too fine. (We grind our own in a small electric mill.) The filter allows somewhat more sediment through than the paper variety. I don't like finding even a small amount of sludge at the bottom of my mug. A careful grind does take care of this problem, however.

4. Despite the fact that gold is relatively inert and stainless, it doesn't hurt to rub down the filter and plastic with a paste of baking soda and water, once a week. This removes any bad-tasting residue that can accumulate.

All in all, when we unpacked our filter and started using it again, I was very happy. It saves paper, money and time. I recommend it if you have a cone-filter type coffee pot.
