This Food Processor Attachment came with the MUM7150 I purchased about a three months ago. Although Bosch make many fine products, I am slightly disappointed with this one.

The cutting/mixing blade works like it should and I have chopped everything from nuts to homemade guacamole without any problems. I also like the fact that the bowl easily detaches from the handle and base to go straight to the dishwasher after use. My disappointment with this unit stems around the 3 disks and plastic disk holder. I have attempted to shred/grate parmesan cheese and as the other reviewer found, the cheese did gum up between the disk, plastic holder, and bowl. I have also attempted to shred/grate chocolate. This ended up becoming a melted mess as the blade did more to melt the chocolate than shred it.

Overall, if you are getting this, I would recommend it for the cutting/mixing blade, but find a deep dark place in your cupboards to put the disks and holder. If you are looking for a slicer/shredder for your Bosch MUM 7/MEK 7 Kitchen Machine, I would try the Bosch MUZ 7 TS1 Slicer/Shredder instead.

I like using this for everything except cheese. My cheese gets all "gummed" up on the star shaped holder and the underside of the blade.

The set contains medium shredding disc, 4-mm slicing disc and 6x6 french fry disc. But medium shredding disc and 4 mm slicing discs are already included with the food processor. The only new thing in this set is the french fry disc, so you do not need the set, do not waste your money, just go and buy french fry disc, if you need it. It will cost you probably two times less. By the way, amazon.com stopped selling the french fry discs separately, and this stinks.

The blades on these discs are heavy, sharp and well made. But you need a detachable stem accessory to use them for my food processor (a DC-5 series). The stem did not come with the discs or the processor, is not currently available from Amazon. I finally found it at the Cuisinart website.

True, I am not a gourmet cook; however, I doubt that many buyers really are. These disks fall in the category of too much work for the outcome. Although I LOVE my Cuisinart and use it for nearly everything, these "gadgets" as I call them are simply too much hassle--installing, using, cleaning!--for everyday use. For garnishes, you can probably find smaller, cheaper tools to use and store. For cooking, my attitude is "who cares" what size and shape your food is? In summary, you really must have a need to spend money to put these on your kitchen "wish list".

I don't yet own this specialty set, but am delighted to find it here on line after searching in stores. One of my family recipes are Polish-style potatoe pancakes made with grated raw potatoes, flour, egg and seasonings. What a chore to grate the potatoes by hand! If the fine grated does this job, my family will enjoy this treat that they love more often, and my knuckles won't need to be included in the dish!

I just bought three cuisinart dlc-5 food processors: first one for myself and then later two as gifts. I wanted more flexibility in the range of foods I could process; and as a result click on the Amazon accessory link for a 3mm slicing disc. This disk did not fit my food process.

I returned it, but Amazon was asking me to pay the return freight, as it was "my fault". I disagreed, and am awaiting the final outcome.

Not withstanding the outcome, I looked closer at the other links in order to buy more disks, and I see some of the other accessory links are not much better. April 2004

I gave my 7 cup Cuisinart that I had for over 10 years to my daughter and just bought a new one. The name itself is an excellent quality and speaks for itself. I am anxious to purchase this discs to add to my others. I highly recommed this because of the good quality made and the many uses you can get at it.

I guess i'm just dump. I bought this cool stuff after I read the review. However, I could not figure out how to use it?

I appreciate it if anybody who knows it could post a guidance for me.

While travelling in Athens, Greece, I passed up the chance to buy a hand -hammered, copper milk frother. Oh, the sleep lost over this moment of "misplaced, stupid cheapness" was adding up...Then, serendipity! I saw this stainless steel pitcher for sale here. At the very same price they wanted for the handmade one in Athens! (told you I was cheap.) I would not let THIS one get away.
First of all, the pitcher is beautiful with its mirror-like finish. It will never rust. Alas! On the first use, I burned the milk! It washed right away after soaking for 5 minutes. The bottom is flat, doesn't rock on the burner, the handle is plenty long to keep your hands out of the flames, and the feel is heavy duty- very important. A hole at the end of the handle has allowed for useful hanging over the stove. Looks good on display. Maybe it was the spell cast on me in Greece, it might be the cocoa, who knows? Make your loved one feel very special/fancy/loved. Make them something warm on a winter night!

This item was included free with the purchase of the Metrokane Rabbit Corkscrew with Foilcutter (Excellent Item) and it's a good thing. The very first time I tried to use it the rubber/plastic peice on the end broke off dropping to the bottom of my bottle of wine.....Very cheap plastic item, reusing your cork would work better than this item.

I have found that the Velvet Champagne & Wine Sealer lives up to its product name. It seals wine and champagne bottles air-tight, because it expands as you turn it. This means that, unlike other stoppers I have tried, it works on any size bottle. I recently sealed a half-empty bottle of champagne, and a week later it popped when I opened it, as full of fizz as the day it was sealed.

I noticed another reviewer of this product complained that it broke the first time he or she used it. The unit was obviously defective. I would advise returning it to Metrokane for a free replacement.

These "Americana" wine charms don't measure up to the real thing! They lack the quality, clean look (too many beads) and ease of use (tiny hole to clasp) of other similar products. I've been collecting That Wine Is Mine wine charms for a few years now and found their "Freedom" patriotic set have a much nicer collection of charms (with both silver and gold) than this one. Amazon's other wine charms are from That Wine Is Mine which makes a quality and original product. Go figure!

These wine charms are great. The designs are unique and the red and blue beads make them more interesting and add a special level of detail. Several of the charms are two-sided with patriotic messages on the back. The fact that a donation is made with the purchase of these charms is an added incentive to make these the wine charms of my choosing. My only complaint was that the clasp hole is a bit small, but I haven't had any problems with the charms opening. With the set-up of these charms, there is no chance of the beads or the charm falling off the ring.

I had to return this product as well as the replacement they sent me. Neither would turn freely. It is very nice looking. If you want it for looks I recommend it. If you want it to actually turn as a lazy susan should, then don't buy this product. Both had places where they jammed and wouldn't turn.

As a matter of fact, I ordered 2 - one for my kitchen and believe it ir not, I am an artist and will use the other as a base of a sculpture that want to display in the round! Just perfect! See what a little imagination can do?

It might work fine, but it weighs 2 pounds! I didn't even open it. For a light traveler, 2lbs could be a large portion of your suitcase weight. Before buying, put some 2lb weights in your suitcase along with all your clothes & carry around the house a few times to see if you can manage this weight. I decided to try a full steam iron instead or go wrinkled!

This iron was a great investment! It is just the right size to take in a suitcase or a backpack. It is easy to use as well.

I have used it on trips to Europe, Canada and across the states and have yet to be disappointed. It is just as powerful as a home iron but weighs a lot less.

I use the steam setting on it the most. The only warning that I can give anyone about that is to be sure to not fill it up too much or it will leak. However, if you fill the resevoir up about half way (which is more than enough for average ironing) then you shouldn't have any issues.

I recieved this as a Christmas present and so far it's 0 for 4 in removing the wax seals from wine bottles. This has happened on 4 separate bottles, each a different brand, so the problem lies with the device itself and not a particular brand's bottle.

Usually this device only manages to cut a shallow circle into the wax seal; if the wax seal is not at the very top of the bottle's lip, the blade is simply not long enough to cut entirely through. In the one instance where it did cut through the wax entirely, it wouldn't remove the resulting plug. Mostly it just manages to mangle the wax seal and simply make it more difficult to remove the old fashioned way.

You can tell from the first moment you lay your hands on it, it's a cheaply made device. The plastic is brittle, the design is clumsy, and it's ineffective as well. So save your money and keep your pocket knife, as for now, it's still the best tool for this job.

It's about time a product like this came out! For those who have difficulty opening a bottle of wine because of that darn wax sealer, your prayers have been answered!

It makes life even easier to enjoy a good bottle of wine. Why should you have to struggle opening a great '82 Bordeaux or a spectacular '97 California Cab?

I also recommend (if I may) ANY product from Screwpull. Some people (like myself) still have a little trouble using a waiter's corkscrew...even though I am still trying :)
