I bought two of these new this summer and they are great. The air to noise ratio is great, it is the best fan I have ever owned. I like the continuous variable speed adjustment and the ability to angle the fan up. It really can move some air!

Purchased two of these fans both came looking perfect. Very quiet with variable speeds also look very stylish. I will definately stick with the Vornado name in my future purchases.

My entire family has these fans. They are so quite and move a lot of air. I've never had one break, even after being dropped. Don't miss the oscillating feature b/c it compensates by moving a lot of air long distance. Worth the cost.

I just received this fan not too long ago. I bought it as a gold box offer and I am so glad I did! Our apartment is on the top floor and has a skylight which gets all of the afternoon sun and gets incredibly hot. It works great to circulate the cool air from my living room where the a/c is to the bedroom, where it is not. It is super quiet and compact and very powerful! A great product!

I was told about Vornado a few years ago. I didn't want to go and spend any money on new fans, so kept my old clunkers. Three of my fans quit this year and I purchased a Vornado Compact Fan. I am very happy I did and should have bought this ions ago. Variable speeds, good looking, and the best of all QUIET! You can sleep with no noise problem. I plan on buying 2 large ones in the spring for our thrift shop and get rid of the old noise makers who are all talk, and no action!

I own this Vornado Air Circulator, and it is the best fan I have ever had. I have it in my bedroom, and it is great to have it on high and feel the air circulating around as you sleep. It's gotten so that I can't sleep without it on. Its a quiet, reliable fan that will serve you well. Extremely powerful, too. Don't underestimate it's size, its a great buy.

and I am very impressed...it has a good hum to it but the noise is nice while sleeping. On high, this thing flaps the covers on the bed. I love lots of air on me when I sleep and I can't keep it on high..too strong. Great fan for any room. Pleased so far.

I have this in my office at work and it provides complete circulation for a small room about 10' x 10'. I have never had it on full speed, except by mistake, as it would blow every paper off the wall and off any surface. It is quiet and reliable. I would buy another one for any space where I need circulation, without hesitation.

Okay, your wife says you can have one room to smoke cigars, but the smoke better get exhausted, because she doesn't want the "fragrance" to permeate the rest of the castle. You try an open window...phew, doesn't work; then an air purifier; no where near enough clean air. So you call an air exchange specialist who gives you a dollar estimate that you think could buy you a Palm Springs condo. Hmm, what to do, what to do....
Get yourself an Air King 9550. This little powerhouse, on full blast, will exhaust 2181 cubic feet of air a minute, with enough force, that you don't have to worry about cold air intrusion. A room full of cigars and a lively poker game may take two 9550s, but by morning the smoke is gone. Turn the fan around for half an hour and all traces of cigar aroma are vanished as the 9550 pulls in fresh air. I tried professional model ozone generating air purifiers that cost hundreds of dollars and my cigar den remained odorous, but one 9550 did an incredible job. I bought two, thinking that one might not do the job, but the second one is now my emergency and poker night back-up.

I was looking for an average fan with directional ability. Boy, was I surprised when this baby arrived! For its size and price, I could not ask for a better fan. If you want a general stream of moving air, this is NOT the fan for you. This product if for those of us who want and need POWER!

I've had this fan for 3 or 4 years and I'm very happy with it. It's very quiet and you don't need to balance the blades yourself. Just follow the directions that Hunter sends with the fan and you're home free. Aside from very occasional dusting I have had to do nothing to the fan in order for it to run smoothly. I love the design the quietness and the quality of this fan that also has a very good price. Go for it you won't be sorry.

I purchased this fan about 3 or 4 years ago and I have only good things to say about it. I specially ordered it from Home Depot and I've been totally pleased with it. It is very quiet unlike many other fans I've seen around. One thing I can say about the Hunter fans family is that they are definitly quality fans. My mom only buys hunter and when she found out I was in the market she insisted I look at only the Hunter fans. I don't always do as mother says but this time I did and am glad I got an excellent fan with not problems at all. I would give 10 stars if theywent that far. I also like the idea that we have never had to balance the blades and no a bit of wobbling from the fan itself.

I've had this Low Profile until my family moved. It was White,not Antique Brass. I adapted it with Hunter's Bullet Spotlights in White. There was one problem with it: When I went to pull the fan's pull chain one night, the Medium speed got broken. My Father,the electrician of my house, had to check the wiring. I was told not to turn it on and leave the cap off. It still works,for a very good fan!!!

This fan was easy to install (once the proper junction box was installed!) and is whisper quiet. For these reasons alone, this fan is worth purchasing.

We have had our Vornado for over 15 years and LOVE it! It never makes too much noise, always gives the proper amount of air circulation in the room and it has performed flawlessly.

Our daughter just moved out, and one of the first presents I gave her was her very own Vornado. She loves it!

We bought two of these fans two years ago and absolutely love them. We run them every night and they are perfect. Cleaning is easy by removing the grill and simply wiping blades. The air force is powerful and you can aim it to an exact spot due to the vortex airflow it creates. With the adjustable dial models, you can actually have it on low which keeps air flow moving but it is absolutely silent! In short, we love these fans and would recommend them to everyone. We like them so much that we have since bought - and equally love - the Vornado humidifier.

I purchased this model in 1988, and it has run flawlessly since. Like any fan you have to pull off the grill and clean the blades (we have hardwood floors, so "bunnies" do go through the fan) and than it is restored to new. It's been running EVERY NIGHT - seven days a week for 15 YEARS ! We even take it to the beach every Summer. I can't sleep without hearing that familar hum. And the air flow through the room has no equal. Worth every penny. And as good as any ceiling fan and it's mobile. I even paid $ 40. more for it back than, so it's definitely a bargin. I really can't say enough about it.

This fan is absolutely the best fan I have ever owned. I used this fan to push the air around my house for proper ventilation of the air conditioning and heating. I used to have to huddle up near the vent to get some heat or air. Or even have to crank the A/C up pretty high to get it feeling comfortable. Now, I can just place the fan in a spot in my house and turn it on and my house feels so good. I am not sure of the amount I save on electricity, but my bills have gone down.

I now have three Vornado fans and two small Vornado room heaters. This is the best endorsement I can give you. Nothing compares to Vornado quality, power, size, and silence.

This is our third Vornado unit. We bought a Vornado heater to take the chill off the kitchen in the winter, and a small Vornado fan to help circulate air in the kitchen area during our very hot summers and the last one is the larger one that we use in our exercise room. They are the best but buying factory reconditioned units makes them all the better.

So, I just bought this fan. Its really cute, works properly, but the air flow is pretty low. I have to come within 3 feet of it to feel the current. It hasn't gotten really hot yet, so I don't know what will happen then. It should definitely be used in conjunction with another cooling device if you are attempting to cool a large space.

I'm kind of a fresh air freak: I use a window fan in my kitchen even in the winter. Up until my upgrade to this wonderful little window fan, I'd been using a standard 20" fan that had to be kind of jammed in the window.

I didn't realize just how nice this Holmes fan would be. It's very small, made of clear plastic that really looks great in the sunlight, it's easy to clean, and it seems to move at least as much air as the thing I was using before - but a whole lot more quietly - AND a whole heap better lookin'!

How often does someone feel the need to critique a window fan, for goodness sakes? This fan, however, is definately worth the time to recommend.

Received my Holmes Hawf-2000 Ice Cool Window Fan. This fan came at a time when the temp was in the high 90s. Easy to install, easy to operate both manually and automatically. I like the three settings with this fan, air intake, exhaust and air exchange. I also like the fact that I can select the temperature that turns this fan on or off. I purchased two other Holmes fans that I like equally well as far as operation and installation is concerned, but the Ice Cool styling that allows natural light to filter into the room is a real plus.

I own three Vornado fans, and I'm trying to buy a fourth one. Two of the fans I own are the small Vornados. They are great for creating a cooling breeze or circulating the air within a room, but if you want to transfer substantial air volume from one room to another, get the large size. I own a 710G, and I intend to buy another one. The 710G ("G" means gray-colored)is part of the 700 series, which is the largest size. The 710 is fairly compact. It can be pointed at any angle. It is a no-frills unit with three speeds and just what I like. It is amazingly quiet for all the air it moves. It's the best fan I know of.

needed a fan for my dorm room and this thing didnt cost much and worked awesome. my room is no longer stuffy and dry...this thing totally makes the air circulate and its pretty quiet at doing it. It also looks really cool and when people see it there always impressed! Spend (...) bucs on a quality product and you be so happy you did..trust me I did the cheap route with fans before (...)!

This moves a lot of air, and cuts down on my using the air conditioners, which is a great thing and saves money. I should have bought 2 more.
