I purchased this vacuum put it together placed it in the center
of my floor that had sawdust all over the floor and turned it
on. WOW, did I get a surprise. The air from the exhaust blew
sawdust everywhere.I called tech support and they said it was
so powerfull that this could happen. Because of the poor design
I packed it up and returned it. I'm still using my old shop
vac that has the exhaust coming out of the top the way I feel
it should. I would not purchase this vac for my wood shop.

We'd rate this thing zero stars if we could. All the features in the world can't make up for the fact that it doesn't [pick up] anything. ... In addition, the hose broke on the first day and it makes a lot of noise for not doing anything. It has been nothing but headaches since we opened the box - poor/incorrect instructions, assembly steps more difficult than necessary, clunky, tippable, short hose, ambiguous cord storage, no tool storage, etc. However, as a trash can, it's got decent wheels and a nice handle.

I received the above Shop Vac ... today. It was shipped disassembled and without the necessary nuts, bolts and instructions for assembly. While it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out how this thing goes together I did have to scrounge through my spare parts drawer to locate the necessary hardware to put this unit together. I'm sure ... would have sent a replacement but I didn't have the time nor want the aggrevation. The vac has good suction (but certainly not 6.25 HP as advertised)It is my understanding that this is Peak HP. To obtain Peak HP the volt/amp input is increased and the HP is measured at the point just before the unit goes up in smoke and melts. Not exactly usable HP. The hose is very short and the floor vac head is not angled at the hose connection which makes it difficult to maintain flat contact with the floor. I gave this unit a low 2 star rating because of poor engineering and packaging of product.

I bought this for my daughter's room to put socks and such things as that in it. Putting it together was a pain, but the worst part was the baskets, they don't go together very well, and as I screwed them together (doesn't make sense to have to screw baskets together) mine broke. The company sent me 3 more baskets, but one of those broke too. Not very sturdy.

I loved the look, bought it in store on sale for 1/2 off. It started off fairly easy to put together, make sure you have a small Phillips screwdriver handy before you start. The baskets were a little hard to put together because the directions weren't specific. Also, the bolts didn't fit into a couple of the screws. I had to rig one of the baskets to work, although the other two had worked ok. The finished look is really cute and I used it in my 2 year old daughters room for her play kitchen. Although it turned out cute (for $20), if I had paid full price, I would have been upset about the assembly.

After reading other reviews about the dreaded basket assembly, I was hesitant to order this item. However, from the picture it looked like what I was looking for, so I took the chance. I'm glad I did, it's perfect- and at a great price. I bought 2 units to use as night tables for my 2 1/2 year old daughter's bedroom, next to a full size bed. The scale next to the bed is fine, and there is room for a lamp and a small clock or picture frame. Both the shelf and the baskets were easy to put together-and took no time at all. My baskets sit flat on the shelves with no problem. I assume that the manufacturer includes baskets that must be assembled, in order to efficiently pack and ship the unit, which arrived in perfect condition. I did hot glue a piece of white felt to the bottem of each basket to prevent scratching the shelves...that took another 10 minutes. I highly recommend this item.

make sure you pay attention to the dimensions. I didn't, and I foolishly assumed this was a much larger item based on the high price. I bought two hoping for major storage for my closet, and I paid more than $100 for each one including shipping. imagine my disappointment when I spent an hour putting the first one together only to find it didn't even reach the top of my legs.

nice looking storage unit, but I certainly wouldn't call it a storage "tower." more like a laundry-room item than a true piece of furniture.

The item is cute to look at, and not too difficult to put together. The black little plugs to make the pieces have softer edges fall out all the time and it really is not worth the money when you have to put it together yourself. It is really cute, though, and serves its purpose.

This is a great item to keep all my make up in and any other items. It is perfect for small spaces and fits in any corner and does not take up much room. A great purchase!

The fact that this is one of the most popular hummingbird feeders on the market is mostly due to its wide availability, cheap price, and gaudy styling rather than its quality. I used these feeders for years before discovering better designs, and I came to hate them. The first thing I noticed was that they're hard to clean, with too many small parts and hard-to-reach tubes and crevices. It takes way too long to take the feeder apart, get all the parts clean, and reassemble it.

The next thing that became apparent is that the bee guards really don't do a very good job. Honeybees and wasps can't reach the solution, but some long-tongued bumblebees can, and tiny bees just crawl right inside the bee guard (and often right into the bottle!). The insects really swarm around when the solution oozes out, as it's prone to do on warm days (particularly if you refill the bottle with refrigerated solution).

It didn't take long to discover that this feeder is also not very durable. The plastic parts don't hold up to exposure to sunlight, becoming brittle and loose over time (more quickly in sunny or high-elevation areas). The hardened glass bottle is actually the most durable part of this feeder, while the yellow bee guards are the first parts to break down. The size is okay, though if you've only got one or two hummingbirds visiting you won't want to fill the feeder completely.

The best hummingbird feeders cost about twice as much as this model, but they will last at least 10 times as long. The feeders I use now are the Hummzingers from Aspects, the Droll Yankees LF, and the Hummerfest from Nature Products Inc., and the only one I've ever had to retire got a crack in the basin when I dropped it on a sharp rock (it was full at the time - I don't think it would have broken had it been empty). I never use anything in my feeders except the solution recommended by all hummingbird experts: 4 parts water to 1 part white table sugar (do not add food coloring!). This is much more economical and probably also healthier (and tastier) for the birds than chemical-laced commercial mixes. The solution should be changed every 2 to 4 days and the feeder cleaned thoroughly at least once a week, no matter what kind of hummingbird feeder you use.

This feeder works well, but I'm now looking for a non-plastic feeder. The plastic base has already cracked and made it very difficult to screw the glass container back into. Flimsy product. Try something more long-lasting. This product lasted less than one year and now is only good for the landfill.

This particular model Hummingbird feeder is a must for my back yard. We seem to have an abundance of bees and wasps who naturally swarm on the flowers of the feeder. The bee guard flowers keep the bees and wasps away so the hummers can feed. I would be interested in purchasing replacement bee guard flowers but to date cannot locate these without purchasing a whole new feeder.

reason this is not good, there is not any kind of a vacumn seal to keep the dogfood fresh.

super cute.. i ahve a little dog and this holds all her food very well. looks nice in the kitchen as well as being functional.. not for big dogs or heavy uses..would reccommend for a small dog(s)..

This is perfect for the small to medium dog. i have a min pin and this is an easy way to store her food and stylish enough to put on the floor in my kitchen. not for big dogs. won't hold enough food for them.

You would think that, given the cost and the fact that the batteries/charger cost AS MUCH as the vacuum - you'd be getting some commercial level quality.
This is NOT the case. Anything over the dust-bunny level isn't going to get picked up by this. Save your $$ and just get a Black and Decker. Or 4 for that matter.

I got this as a promo for buying a few "bazillion" dollars worth of Makita tools. The wife thinks is a poor excuse for a gift, ouch! The kids think its fun to play with. I use it as my emergency extra 9.6 battery stash. Somebody told me it was a vacuum, call it a toy and give it to the kids. You'll get more for your money if you do that, then trying to vacuum with it.

I love this for our floor. This vacuum works great for me to pick up all the stuff from the floor before I mop or just every few days for maintenance work. It's light-weight and easy to use. The only time I have to bend down is to get under the couch. I would NOT recommend this on carpet, but it's great on tiles and wood floor which is what we have. I've been able to avoid lots of major mopping before company arrives by just using this vacuum.

No adapter and absolute no information in the package on where to get one, or even whether it's safe to use one. Complete rip-off.

The first time I used this product it shorted out the lighter in my car. The plug for the lighter did not fit properly, overheated and shorted the system. The refrigerator never cooled. Additionally, the refrigerator hold much less than you would think.

This cooler keeps things cold, but it is better to think of it as a "permanent" thermos. In other words, it is extremely slow to actually cool things. A 6-pack of room-temperature soft drinks will take 24-30 hours to get really cold. This unit will cool considerably below ambient temperatures, even to 32 degrees -- better than most of the units on the market, because it is so small inside, but uses the same capacity thermoelectric element. It does make noise with the cooling fan whirring all the time. It's about like a loud computer fan. As to adapters: thermoelectric elements do not function properly if there is electrical noise. Most cheap transformers do not in fact make a "clean" power flow. This will significantly reduce the efficiency of this refrigerator, which would mean less cooling. So it may be best to get the adapter from the manufacturer, not go to eBay or such sources. You can tell the difference in the car, using battery power this unit will show the best performance it is capable of.

You also need several inches of air space around the unit for proper operation.

If you need more storage than a 6 pack, or need to actually cool things down, keep in mind that this is a really light-duty unit. You'll be happier with a 1.6 cu. ft. refrigerator if you have the room. But this will work okay if nothing larger would be allowed in your office.

The thermoelectric cooling principle was discovered well over 100 years ago, and has been used extensively by NASA. Basically if you put hot Plutonium against one side of the thermoelectric element, electricity will flow. Whether cooling or making electricity, these circuits are only about 10% efficient. A compressor-type refrigerator is about 35% efficient. So, if you're using your employer's office power, don't worry about it, but if you use this at home, at 48 watts continuously, it will use about $25 a year for power. That is a lot of juice for a little bit of cooling.

While the wood had a few imperfections, the overall appearance of the product was good. However, the assembly process made me wish I had never purchased the product. The allen wood screws were impossible to screw in, especially since most of the holes did not line up. It took almost two hours to assemble just the table. I ended up with blisters on my fingers from the allen wrench. It would have been much better to have had phillip head screws where an electric screwdriver could have gotten the job done in 15 minutes. I haven't even bothered to put the stools together yet...

ok, I really like the results, but you're screwing into wood with an allen wrench... the predrilled holes are, imo, too small and it's a lot of work. Things aren't quite lined up, and I didn't get the drawer stops... I called the 800 number and was told that although they are on the the instructions, since they aren't in the official parts list I'm not entitled to them. This could be a great product with a bit more care in the pre construction.

I am the pickiest shopper around and wanted something small for my breakfast nook. I was not looking forward to assembling this myself but it was what I wanted in style and size. The directions were very easy to follow and no screws or parts were missing. I had it together in an hour and it looks great! A small ding in the side of the table top from shipping but other than that, no complaints! GREAT VALUE!

Awesome dishwasher until it broke just a few days after the one year warranty ended. The closest 3rd party repair person available didn't have the time to fix it for several weeks and the price to repair it was almost the original cost so I threw it in the trash.

I bought this dishwasher with trepidation after seeing so many negative reviews. I was so fed up with washing dishes every night, however, I felt I had to take a gamble.

Sure enough, it malfunctioned from the start. The first load washed great, but the dirty water would not expel afterwards so subsequent loads were simply recycling the same dirty water. After a week trying to figure out if I had installed the unit incorrectly, and poring over the very badly written operating manual, I realized it was just plain broken.

Fortunately, within a year after the purchase date, Danby will send a maintainance person to your home for free. Dealing with their customer service was pleasant but slow as the phone operators had little technical knowledge about the machine. They did, however, send a technician the very next day without any charge.

I have been using the machine without problems now for a week, and it's true - it's a really great machine when it does function properly. It's plenty big for a one or two-person household, it's quiet, and uses very little water. We'll see how long it keeps up though!

it will break. It's great when it's working, but within a year it will stop working and it won't be covered by the very limited warranty. I recently bought a Haier, but it doesn't hold as many dishes and is taller than the Danby so it doesn't fit under the cabinets.

I anxiously awaited the release of this book, as well as the other two in the series. What a disappointment! There is nothing in this book that is new or exciting. Kate offers the same old, tired suggestions that you can find in any book on entertaining. The watercolor illustrations are cute but that's about it. This book has no substance and reads more like a children's book then anything else. For $20 these books are overpriced, as is anything with the Kate Spade name on it. Don't waste your hard-earned money so she and her yuppy husband can laugh all the way to the bank, or their "summer home" in the Hamptons! :-(

Full of watercolor illustrations, Occasions is an anecdotal book that will give you some basic fun tips on flowers, surprises and disasters, the art of the toast, weekend activities in the country and special events - from BBQ's to weddings. It's an interesting book to have if you are looking for short tips and you understand the jokes, but it won't
help you in planning and organizing a serious occasion.

This book is wonderful. After watching Oprah and reading about these books in Style Magazine, I decided to see what the hype was about! This particular book helped me organize a great Happy 40th birthday for my mother and her friends. After the success of my party, I went ahead and bought the other two books as well. These books have great suggestions and look great on the coffee table! I would recommend buying all three books, they are excellent!
