Being an asian college student, buying amco products doesn't seem like a good investment. I mean, it's more expensive to than all the other nylon tools out there. However, my mind has changed and am now a loyal supporter of Amco.

What makes this such a good product is the fact that only the ends are nylon. If you've used all nylon products before, you'll realize how hard it is to even lift up a piece of beef off your cookware. Nylon just bends too much when there's weight put on it. So to have a product that incorporates the toughness of steel and the non stick advantages of nylon, this is well worth putting your money on.

I have this 4 quart colander by Amco and am extremely pleased with it in my kitchen. The large capacity is perfect for loads of linguine or anything else I need to drain or strain. The handles stay cool and the holed-pattern is an artistic leaf design.

The base comes in handy. Sometimes I just have to leave the kitchen for a moment and know this is safely balanced in the sink. Stainlees steel is easy to clean and this is also dishwasher safe. I still give it a good rinse first in cold water to remove starchy build-up.

As a mention, this colander is so attractive and attractively priced, I have bought more, filled them with colorful fresh fruits and candies, wrapped in bright hued plastic wrap and given them as gifts. Perfect for get-well hospital visits, house-warming parties, and holiday events. I have yet to hear a complaint!

You're cooking with your 11-year-old, who's pretty skilled at math, but conversions are beyond what's been taught, at least in practical application. The 14-inch long Amco 18/8 Stainless Steel Slotted Spoon is an essential item in the commercial kitchen. I have three of the slotted spoons and three of the matching plain spoons hanging from my overhead pot rack so that they are always easy to find when I am cooking. The long length is great for using with tall stockpots. While these spoons are not as beautiful as the Calphalon spoons, they are durable, easy-to-clean, and an excellent value. The home chef can certainly benefit from using many commercial products.

While testing a recipe from Martha Stewarts new cookbook, I was wondering why I had not purchased grated cheese. It is a bit of work to grate your own cheese, but this grater will do the trick.

It will grate soft and hard cheeses. Be careful if you grate harder cheeses like pecarino romano. While the cheddar cheeses are easy to grate, you will want to watch those harder cheeses so they don't slip out of your hand.

I recommend extreme caution when grating cheese! This grater also comes in handy when you need to grate zucchini for a vegetable lasagna or carrots for a salad.

This is a kitchen staple! I could not cook without it! I find that many times, a regular old grater is just easier to use than all those fancy contraptions you see on the infomercials. By the time you take those things out of the box (if you were able to get them back into the box!) you could have grated a few cups of cheese. Simplicity is sometimes the quicker option.

I've had these juice glasses for a few years now and they're perfect. Just the right size for juice and they're a nice heavy weight (a big plus against breakage.) Simple clean design goes with everything.Very pleased with purchase.

The reason people buy toaster covers is not for looks, but for hygiene. Think about how much dust, pet hair etc is clinging to the outside of your toaster by the time you get around to swabbing it off. Dust is 75% human skin. Ugggh. Now all this dust goes in the holes where the toast goes and when you put your toast in you are covering it with dust. MMMMMmmmmm. So ideally you should cover your toaster when not in use or that hair you find in your pop tarts or eggos might be the least of what you consume;)

These rubberbands are SO awesome! I love the hippo and the elephant. When Im bored sometimes I just take it out and fitz with it. I wear it as a bracelet or use it to keep a stack of papers together. Great idea for kids of all ages.
