I bought this on sunday, along with the rolling cart to match, and I love them! They were very easy to assemble, and they look great! The shelves are large enough for 12 x 12 papers, and there is room for albums too! It is a good height to set things on and look through. If you're thinking about getting this, I would! It will hold a lot of supplies!

After several failed attempts, I began to wonder if I would ever be able to make creamy dreamy ice cream at home. Finally, I ordered the right one! This ice cream maker really does work. The only time it will not work is if your freezer is not set to the coldest setting. I keep the freezer bowls in the freezer at all times, that way they are ready to go.

So, set your freezer to the coldest setting two days before you intend to make the ice cream. I also found the extra freezer bowl to be indispensable. Instead of waiting for the ice cream mixture to cool, simply use one of the freezer bowls to cool it down and then pour it into the second freezer bowl. This drastically speeds up the process.

I also use the freezer bowl for other items I want to cool down quickly. I use it to cool down Jello when making a Raspberry Mousse. I have been known to place the whole contraption right into the freezer. I guess you are not supposed to, but I am still alive.

So, once you have everything all frozen, set the machine up and make sure it is on a nice level surface (in or out of the freezer). Then, mix up your ice cream recipe. All you do is pour the liquid into the ice cream maker and with a flick of the switch the paddle starts to turn and in about 20 to 30 minutes you will have the ice cream of your dreams.

When washing out the bowl, you will notice that you have to use hot water or you may find the cold water starts to freeze on the inside. I recommend placing a piece of plastic wrap over the top of the bowl when storing it in the freezer so there is no need to rince the bowl. I also disobey the instructions and let the ice cream freeze until solid in the ice cream freezer bowl. I found it just works faster that way. That way your ice cream is ready in 40 minutes! Yes, it takes 20-30 minutes and then 10 more minutes in the freezer. At least that is how it goes in my kitchen. It is still well worth the wait. If you start the ice cream before dinner, you won't even notice the time.

Here is a favorite recipe for a slushy. Yes, you can make those too and it works quite well.

PINK GRAPEFRUIT SLUSH

Use grapefruit juice found in the cooler section of your grocery store or use fresh squeezed and strained juice. If you enjoy sitting outside and want to keep your drinks ice cold, purchase a few "gel mugs" which you can keep in the freezer.

4 cups pink grapefruit juice

1/4 cup orange blossom honey

1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract

1. Pour grapefruit juice into a tall jug. Heat honey in the microwave and stir into juice.

2. Set up ice cream maker. Pour in juice, freeze 10 minutes or until slushy. Serve in tall glasses with straws.

Makes 4 glasses.

This is a great product! I was given a DCL-7 Series Cuisinart food processer and it was missing the slicing blades. These fit and the savings was incredible. They slice and shred perfectly. I was impressed. I can't wait to get the specialty blades.

I use this splatter screen frequently. It's sturdy enough not to fall apart from regular use (which is the fate of some other splatter screens i've had), and the feet are a great feature, which keeps food from getting all over your counter or stove.

This was such a fun job putting the system together and the best part was,I could configure it anyway I wanted. I had some dead spots in my aquarium and once even killed all my fish when I moved a rock releasing anaerobic bacterial everywhere. I have a 100 gallon saltwater aquarium and it was a snap to install and when I needed some advice I just called bigfishtanks.com and they helped me achieve a better system than I had originally designed. When I was in high school, it was all the rage to drive behind a grocery store at night and abscond with as many milk crates that would fit in your car. Nowadays, there is no need in risking incarceration - and who want's "Schwepp's Dairy" stamped on their "furniture" ?

These dairy crates are just the thing to supplement a student's decor AND help to stay organized at the same time. Very reasonable price and a good product.

This is similar to the old Swiss Army Magna WonderKnife that used to be sold by Hammacher Schlemmer for 49.99. This is the best knife I have used. It covers more uses than any other knife. It will slice vegetabels, carve meat, even open coconuts and trim palm trees. Frozen Food - No problem. The slicing guide is removable.

I looked at many different deep fryers. Many claim to be a Stainless Steel Deep Fryer. The difference being the tub is stainless and the lid is made of plastic.The baskets are different grades of steel and chrome.

The DeLonghi offers a fryer tub and lid in stainless with a high grade steel and chrome used in the basket. You can check if it is stainless by using a magnet. It will not stick to stainless. The outer shell is made of high polished steel. This all makes for good heat transfer. Clean up is a breeze. You can clean the item with a rub and not a scrub. The filter is metal and requires no replacement.

The unit holds a gallon of oil and I prefer corn or vegetable oil rather than peanut. Tip ! Use the old container for storing oil.

The heating unit sits in the oil and offers a cool zone for food particles to fall below the heating unit. This allows the particles not to burn and ruin the oil. Easy clean up when oil is cold. Particles stay on bottom and not in the oil when pouring used oil in container.
The extra large capacity baskets will allow you to easily put 3 lbs of chicken with room to spare.

The max temperature of 360* is not a problem. 350* is more than adequate to cook any items for deep frying. Recovery time is excellent. The heating element of 1650 watts is more than adequate. Be aware a higher temp may brown or burn the outside while leaving the inside uncooked. Especially in thicker foods. Not to mention the higher the temp, the quicker the oil breaks down. Most food establishments operate their fryers at 350*. Higher wattage may cause your circuit breaker to blow where 15amp. breakers are used. Some require a 20 amp breaker. There is also a pressure switch to assure the heating unit is installed properly in the fryer in addition to having it's own safety breaker built in and can be manually reset.

There is a slot to hold the basket over the oil to drip excess oil off the item cooked. Tip ! Do not leave basket full of food over oil for an excessive amount of time since steam or heat from fryer oil may reduce crispiness.

There is minimal contact with metal regarding the plastic.
DeLonghi comes with a one year warranty and inside each box is an envelope with DeLonghi offering an additional 2 year warranty for only $12.00. Making a total of three years.

The manual is well detailed regarding use and care but very poor regarding cooking times. I guess since this is a commercial style fryer for the home , they feel the cook will determine when the food is finished. Keep in mind the food will continue to cook when it is out of the oil.

The electrical magnetic disconnect can only be inserted one way. The connection is also well protected in back of the unit and is raised off the counter.

I also like the high sides of the frying tank allowing adequate room for the expansion of the oil especially with fries. Not a problem with oil running down the sides!

I also like after cleaning the unit there is no after smell of oil compared to the plastic lids and side models.

I have been searching for a clothing rack for a long time that would be inexpensive AND durable. I've finally found it! This has an attractive cloth cover with strong zippers. The shelves are very handy. It was very fast and easy to put together, though I did need a hand getting the cloth cover on the frame. When it was in my room, I just kept loading and loading my clothes into it...and it remained solid as a rock! All previous clothing racks I've tried have collapsed-but not this one! It is generously sized, and the part where you hang your clothing has a "floor" that you can store all your shoes, or whatever else you need to keep safe. And the icing on the cake- the fabric is breathable so your clothes won't get stinky and musty! Hooray!:)
