In addition to all of the usual Le Creuset benefits (lovely slow cooking cast iron, double enamel finish) this pot works very well not only on the stove top as a soup pot, but also in the oven as a casserole dish. When it goes from the oven to the table to serve, it looks much more like a serving dish than a cooking pot. If you need each piece of your cookware to play many roles, this is a great choice.

A long, long time ago all I had was a cheap wooden mallet from a bargain basement store. I used it once, and the head came right off. Since then I never appreciated what a difference a meat tenderizing tool could make! This tool is fabulous! I am so impressed with the weight of this item, so evenly balanced, and can perform 4 tasks easily and literally in seconds. I was amazed that my family raved over a recipe that I've made for years - and the only difference was that I used this tool to prepare the meat.

I must confess that even with the protective cover that is provided, I would not have had one of these in my home when my children were small. It just would have made me too nervous as it truly is a lethal weapon if not used for the purpose for which it was intended.

That said, I will never again prepare meats or poultry without using this item. No serious cook should be without it! I love it!

If you want silicone bakewear, definitely go with the Lekue. It is higher quality and has a better texture than all the other silicone bakewear on the market. We've had our cake pan for over a year now, and it cooks perfectly every time!

My mother just started using these, and is raving about them. She's made muffins for years, and switched from standard tins to the non-stick ones. She just recently switched to the Lekue silicon ones, and it appears there's no going back.

I am now trying to find out if the company is public because it's not often that a kitchen product generates this level of excitement.

I ordered these coasters when they came up as a "gold box" special. These coasters are really lovely. In case you can't tell from the tiny pictures, the birds on the coasters are: a chickadee; a cardinal, a rose-breasted nuthatch, and a goldfinch. The birds are posed in very natural positions. Catherine McClung is a well-known bird painter that you may have seen on HGTV on "Modern Masters: White House Artisans". She had been invited to paint a bird ornament for the White House in 2002. There is cork on the bottom of these coasters, so I do not consider them to be freezer, microwave or oven safe, as stated in the description here on Amazon. They are not "coaster stone" that soaks up excess water. They are simply beautiful painted coasters. If you love birds like I do, then you will love these coasters.

Made of a durable, dishwasher safe glass, these little fellas are guaranteed to turn heads at your next gala (and at a fraction of the cost of other glasses to boot!) I'm more than satisfied with the construction of these glasses. I've even dropped one (from a considerable height) on my carpet and it's held together just fine. I keep two sets stocked in my home bar. They're as essential to any happening event as vodka, olives & good company! And hey... for $9.99 how can you go wrong?

These are THE best glasses I've ever owned! I recently gave them away to my sister when she went off to college and upgraded to a new set of fancier glasses that were a disappointment. I've finally replaced them and now all is right with the world. If you purchase these you wont be disappointed.

I love this little clear, covered glass dish. It's the perfect size for a can of olives or pickled beets, then you can set the dish in the center of a plate of deviled eggs. Also perfect for leftovers. You can SEE what's in it. It's a very handy size.
