Great Vac but Poor designIt has great suction!, I accidently brushed against a large shop towel and it sucked it up faster than I could pull away, it ended up in the tank and not stuck in the hose. I also liked how easy the top lifts off, pull 3 clips and it's off, the cord storage is OK, but I wish the prongs were a little larger as the 18 foot cord does not entirely fit.
The only bad things I noticed were in the design, the ON/OFF switch is horrable! it's a solid read button, actually its a rubber cover over a rocker type switch, which reads both ON> Overall it's a great machine, Improve the design, and you got one awesome machine!...

beyond what was intended.
Nice little machineAssembly is simple and clean up is a snap. The filter will get full of ash if you use it for your fireplace but a quick rinsing will alleviate that problem.
Good Vac

Nice Steamer, Few ProblemsThis is steamer is very nice looking and it does get the job done. I also like how you can add herbs and spices to the water so the flavor and aroma will permiate your food as it's cooking.
Great steamer, but a few little quirks...hI'd give it five stars, but for a few things:
The very first time I fired it up for seasoning (on top of a new Blue Ginger wok at that, whose bright blue finish scorched and also discolored its nonstick finish) all the blue rattan lacing bled into the bamboo it was in contact with. Someone's idea of a spash of color apparently didn't think about what steam does to inks and dyes -- hopefully, it's food safe. Luckily, it looks like Target figured this out and now leaves the rattan "natural".
The second problem can only be attributed to quality control: after letting the steamer cool down a bit from its seasoning, I separated the lid and middle section from the bottom. The lid felt a little snug pulling away, but trying to put it back revealed that the inner band of bamboo had warped and bubbled away from the outer band. To remedy the problem, I had to make a cut in the bamboo strip to allow it to nest back onto rest of the steamer.
Another design note: the small loop of rattan on the lid that is supposed to function as a handle gets too hot for bare fingers when steaming and it's too snug to the top for an easy grab using gloves or a hotpad.

Good filter, but it won't soften your water
Pur over Brita, and neither softens water. So why Pur? I looked at Brita and Pur back in 1998, and found that Pur was filtering more harmful elements than Brita. While Brita may or may not have caught up, it hasn't surpassed Pur in quality, and I've put my trust in Pur before. Going with proven leaders, especially with your water, is smart.
These filters have low-tech indicators that let you know when an allotaed volume of water has passed through the filter. If your water is generally clean, you can go a week or so past the "expiration" date. These filters are more expensive than Brita filters for pitchers, but I believe Pur is still catching more bad stuff.
Finally, there are no "silver oxide pellets" in Brita filters. Don't take my word for it: check their website for proof. In fact, Brita specifically says it does not filter out sodium, the primary "hard" component of hard water.
So make your choice by visiting each website, and seeing the list of harmful impurities and organisms filtered out; also check micron-sizes of filter elements and filter pores; and lastly, see which company has technology across the entire spectrum of filtration needs. You'll probably be shopping for a Pur 10-pack soon enough...

No blower
Easy to use and it definitely gets the job done.In short, this machine fit the bill perfectly. I don't have any complaints about it. It came w/ a huge vacuum bag, hose, accessories and it was easy to assemble. It has amazing sucking power and is very easy to move around. It's probably more machine than I need for my purposes, but I'm not complaining at all.
To sum up: It's an extremely nice machine for a very nice price. I seriously doubt you'd be disappointed.
