I bought this decorating kit for my first-grader to encourage her interest in baking. She needs a little help filling the plastic pastry bags, but she's really got a handle on controlling the icing. As I grow older, I find that my ability to open jars without some kind of mechanical assistance has diminished considerably, and I'm afraid that trend isn't going to miraculously reverse itself any time soon (or ever). The Jar Pop is the best tool I've found to provide such assistance with lids whose edges are narrow and unthreaded (it's not suited for threaded, wide-edge jar lids, which is the only reason I don't give it five stars). It operates on the same principle as a traditional bottle opener: you hook the flange of the Jar Pop under the edge of the lid and pull up (gently; it doesn't take much force) on the handle . . . no twisting required. Presto! With a soft "psssht," the jar's vacuum seal is broken, and the lid is loose. Another plus is that the Jar Pop leaves the lid scarcely marred, if at all, so you'll have no trouble putting it back on the jar when you're ready to do so. The Jar Pop is inexpensively priced, its form and function are exquisitely simple, and it works extremely well. What more could you ask for? Give it a try!

This item does exactly what it's supposed to for very little money. I bought one over the objections of my wife (not another gadget!) who fell in love the first time she used it. We've now given several as gifts and are buying more. The perfect stocking stuffer.

This is a great tool for anyone who loves Mexican beer with a squeeze of lime, seafood, and Mexican food. However, the product is NOT as dishwasher safe as the manufacturer says. My first juicer lasted 10 months before the enamel began peeling off. The bolt also fell out. (I believe the bolt is aluminum, a poor choice for endurance.) I exchanged the defective tool for a new one and have been handwashing it ever since. It has lasted for about 14 months; the enamel is fine and the bolt intact. There is a possibility that the hard water in Utah and the strong dish washing detergent (Cascade) contriburted to its demise, but it may just be my punishment for drinking beer in Zion. I also have the lemon squeezer and recommend it, too.

My mom is Mexican and it seems that pleanty of lime is used in mexico. You will find one of these in most mexican kitchens. I use my lime squeezer all the time. the product may not look as nice and fancy as other kitchen utensils, but it works great. So the apperance of the item is irrelevant. If you use as much lime as I do you should get one.

this product is exellent for the filtration of larger tanks. the hagen has an innovative technique for the removeal of harmful substances within your tank and makes sure your fish will live a healthy life. I highly recommend this product for those who are planning to setup 60-100 gallon tanks.

I think Hagen is one of the best manufacturers for aquariums.
I have three red ear sliders turtles and they are too messy and dirt. I was recommended to get a filter with capacity for three times the volume of an aquarium. That means: if you own fishes in a 100 gallon tank you need a 100 gallon capacity filter, but if you have trutles in the same volume, you need a 300 gallon capacity filter. Well I have three semi-aquatic turtles in a 197.6 liters ( 52.27 gallons ) tank and my filtration system consists of:
1 pc. Aquaclear 500 and
1 pc. Fluval 404 canister filter ( manufactured by Hagen ).
Both of them for 100 gallon capacity. The result: excellent !!
Water remais clean for more than two weeks and even it gets colored it is always clear. Actually I do not know what would happen if I'd own only the Aquaclear 500, but both of them work excellent.
Complains:
As a turtle owner I can not completely fill the tank and when I turn the aquaclear 500 off all the water in the filter escapes and when I need to turn on the Aquaclear I must fill the recipient with water. It is not necessary if the tank water level is at the top of the tank.
When turned on all the day I get tired of the "water fall sound" and I think turtles also get annoyed, it is turned just 10-12 hours per day.
Flow control: there is no great difference for high or low flow.

TIP: I got the aquaclear from other seller, little lower price.

This thing is cheap but it works like it cost lots more. It cleans up well under hot soapy running water (do not put it in the dishwasher) and the blade on mine has held up well for 5 years of fairly regular use.

The blade is SHARP folks, so use caution. The only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars is that it does not come with a veggie holder or handle of some kind to grip the stuff you're slicing.

All mandolines or slicers of this kind are dangerous if care is not taken, so they should all come with veggie holders/handles, in my opinion.

This will slice lots of different thicknesses ( I use mine for apples to make pie, carrots for soup and potatoes for scalloped/other casserole dishes ). Just reposition the handle and press it down on the desired "ledge" notched onto the frame, to get the thickness you want. Place it on a kitchen/dish towel on the counter so it doesn't slip around while cutting, for added safety.

Perfect for everyday cooks, pie bakers and casserole makers like me.

Do you remember the slicer your mother or grandmother kept in her kitchen? Have you been looking for it for 20 years or more? Look no farther. This simple and inexpensive gadget is the slicer that we all remember from our childhoods. I missed my mother's slicer so much, I asked her to bequeath it to me. It is simply the best slicer on the market. The imported $250 mandolines can't hold a candle to Feemster's $5.99 slicer. You do have to be careful when using this item. The blade is very sharp and the slicer doesn't have much by way of protective guards. But it definitely works on vegetables. Until now, I haven't been able to duplicate my mother's fried potato dish because I couldn't slice the potatoes thin enough. Problem solved thanks to Amazon.

Classy, but just right for every day use! You can tell the quality just by holding any piece in the set. The only thing I would like to see different is an "open stock" system. We would really like to get a few more serving pieces but can not find any where to do so.

This design, Provence, is really stunning. Very beautiful, and the feel is wonderful. I would recommend Henckel to anyone. I would like to find more spoons though without buying another 45-piece set. The Harmony Air Purifier has turned out to be a great little workhorse of a machine! I have dogs and this machine does a great job of removing their dust, hair and dander from the air. The only problem I have is the noise. The Harmony is not loud, but it is noticeable. Filter replacement is easy. Filter costs can add up. The recommended replacement on the Hepa filter was 12-18mos, but I needed to replace after 8 months of hard use. Overall I reccomend it. Good Quality, Great Price.

I bought the Holmes HAP625 a month ago from Amazon and love it. It's easy to move around from room to room. At night I left it on "low" between 2 bedrooms. In the morning, my severe allergies -stuffed nose and itchy eyes disappeared. The air flows upward, so it doesn't hit your face if you are sleeping. It fits nicely with my house decor. I would highly recommend this purifier to anyone with severe allergies. California 3/4/04

If you're looking for some good quality headphones but don't want to spend a lot on top-of-the-line quality, the Koss UR15C headphones are definitely a good choice. The sound is far clearer and the bass is much deeper than in any other economy-priced headphones I've tried... overall they're comparable to other headphones in around the $40 price mark.

The adjustable size headset has plenty of sizes to choose from and importantly, it doesn't slip from one size to the next when you're wearing them. The ear covers are large and you can fit your whole ear inside the headphone (I hate when it sits on your ear, instead of covering it). My only gripe is the cheap stretchy covering on the headphone padding... in any other headphones I've owned, that stuff wears away quickly and starts to tear and fall off... not a huge problem but a mild annoyance. But for $20, you can't expect the highest quality for everything here.

Overall, I give these Koss headphones a 4 out of 5 rating. Good middle-of-the-road choice.

These are excellent headphones. It has a long cord so you can actually have room between you and you're CD Player. And the headphones are huge so you don't have these little cover things and you can barely hear out of them. Excellent 100%

I purchased this stainless steel kettle from a department store. There were enameled versions of it, but I was concerned about chipping. Overall, the design looks great (it has the Circulon wavy handle and a bird-shaped lever for the spout), and the whistle works fine. It also seems to be very well-built.
The handle does get very hot, so I just use a hot pad to remove it from the stove to pour (the main reason I gave it 4 and not 5 stars).

I love this tea kettle. I burnt mine dry, and I do not recommend doing that, it loosens the handle. This kettle blows it's whistle really loud, I love the design, and the handle stays cool if you don't overheat your kettle. Love it, gotta have another one.

Just love it!! Its easy to assemble. My dorm room was a mess with all my CDs everywhere but now that i have a place for them it makes my room clean and stylish!

For quite a while I had been looking for a certain type of DVD rack/tower...then one day in Target I was looking at the Mission collection and saw the box (no display). It is exactly what I had been looking for. Slapped on the two foot ends and done! Perfect fit for DVDs, 20 fit across and if you have a lot of the cheapy DVD cases, like the ones New Line Cinema puts out, you can fit more. I don't have the hassle like some wire racks where you can only fit one DVD per slot. I have many oversized ones. The hardwood is great too, just a few felt pads on the backs to not scratch the wall. If you can wait for them to go on sale every now and then...it is worth it. I am almost ready to buy a third one soon.
