Overall good choiceBut the bottom line is, I haven't found an iron that gets hotter or does a better job so I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.
Joy of IroningFirst of all, see-through water tank is detachable, so when the water is running out, you can see it, and you just need to take the water tank alone to refill it. No need to carry the hot iron to the sink! The best part is that the Iron glides over the clothes so smoothly, you don't need to do too much. Just move the iron over that wrinkled area, and your clothes will look just as you had it done at a dry cleaner. It used to take me forever to Iron a shirt with my old iron, but now I can do it half the time and effort.
Oh, and after you are done with the ironing, the cord retracts. What a wonderful feature. It makes it so much easier to put the iron away after the job is done. No more of tangled cord, or cord hanging from the shelf.
This is really the best Iron I've ever used, and I'm very happy with my purchase.

- Slick, tough soleplate provides smooth glide, resists scratches
- Shuts off in 30 seconds if left horizontal or tipped, 8 minutes if left vertical
- Anti-scale system in large water tank; pivoting 11-foot-8-inch cord
- Vertical-steam; variable-steam; misting spray; steam-burst
- 10-year warranty against defects to soleplate; 1-year warranty on iron

Not Too Pleased
Finally ironing is no longer a hassle!
I like this iron!My previous iron was a $100+ iron made by Rowenta. That iron lasted about 3 years before it began making clicking sounds and would stop heating. I decided to purchase this iron based on the high reviews here.
Bottom line is that ironing is made much easier with this iron.
Plus
This iron spews out lots of steam and makes removing wrinkles easy. It has a steam burst button which works well because I can press it up to 3 times in succession and still get a decent burst. The Rowenta was able to send out one strong burst of steam, but the 2nd one was pitifully weak.
The water spray button and the steam burst buttons are easy to press. After a couple of hours of ironing with the Rowenta, my thumb would cramp up. I have a pretty strong grip, so it takes a lot of work for my hand to cramp up.
The long power cord is a big plus. This means I don't have to work near an outlet.
Minus
The iron could hold more water. Because it produces a lot of steam, the iron tends to use up its water fairly quickly. This is not a problem since the filler cup that comes with the iron makes adding water a breeze.
It is a little difficult to see the water level at the filled position. However, when the water level is low, I have no problem seeing it.

- Superior steam output
- Fast heat-up time
- Auto-off feature
- Extra-large transparent water tank
- Dimensions 12 by 7 by 5 foot 2 inches; weighs 13.5 pounds

Dear Rowenta: Make a Taller Clothes' Pole!Other than that, don't hesitate to purchase this product, ladies and gents. You'll be delighted with it. And, I recommend purchasing the product at www.smallappliance.com. (No, I'm not employed with them. They are in Miami; I'm in L.A.). I suggest purchasing from them because Rowenta offers only a 1 year warranty. Go through smallappliance.com and they'll throw in a free extra year warranty. And, uh... by the way... shipping is free. Only took about 5 days to get my product.
Cheers....
Worth The Money!
Looks Great, Works Great...The only concern which remains in my mind is :
How many years of service will this steamer give me?
Only time will tell. So far I'm very happy. I steamed 8 garments with ease.

Doesn't replace a regular iron, though! The larger ironing surface is very nice, and it is great for larger items. It has a nice indicator light system for heat and steam, but it takes longer than I anticipated to heat up between presses or steams. It is also quite bulky and heavy.
I iron most of my/our clothing and wanted something to cut down on ironing time. This item works pretty well, but you'll still need a regular iron unless you don't mind a few wrinkles or puckers.
It works very well great for pants, knits, mens shirts, and cloth napkins. Results are not as good for ladies shirts or table cloths. It would also be very handy with sewing projects, although I have not used it for that purpose. It works best on items that are damp rather than completely dry.

- High-velocity jets (6-inch head) steam wrinkles out of garments, drapes
- Fast, easy alternative to ironing; rolls on sturdy casters
- 1300 watts; heats up in one minute; removable 5-foot hose
- Telescopic rod hangs garments, adjusts for garments' length
- Removable tank holds water for 75 minutes steaming time
List price: $79.99 (that's 19% off!)

Good while it lastedI had noticed from time to time that the power plug would get a bit hot. But this time, I discovered black smoke eminating from the outlet ... and the machine was still producing steam, which tells me that it has insufficient short-circut protection.
There is no recall that I know of, and perhaps it is a fluke, but nonetheless BE CAREFUL.
Life gets easier!I used a professional garment steamer while working for small clothing retailer. I admit I was skeptical about how well this would perform stacked against a professional steamer, but I was pleasantly surprised. Additionally, I was hoping that this purchase would not be one of those things that sat around the house and never get used or the type of purchase you try once, hate it, and end up returning it. When I purchased the garment steamer I also purchased an iron. The iron stayed in the box for 4 weeks, untouched, while the Conair GS10 Deluxe Fabric Streamer got used almost every day. I am keeping both, this fabric steamer makes things much easier in most cases. I say go ahead and indulge - you won't be sorry.
I love my steamer!
- Iron produces penetrating steam for professional drycleaner results on fine clothing
- Steam pressure cuts ironing time in half and requires no arm pressure during ironing
- Stainless-steel steam generator holds water for 2 hours of pressing
- Continuous steam setting works at any angle for drapes or hanging garments
- Long-lasting soleplate; safe non-burn pad for resting iron; 1-year limited warranty
List price: $259.99 (that's 50% off!)

Euro-Pro's description very deceptive! This was purchased for my wife who sews many hours daily and
constantly uses an iron. These limitations should be spelled
out in the product description prior to purchase. We will be returning this iron because of its severe restrictions. We never bothered to take anything out of the box except the the directions. I hope Euro-Pro doesn't manufacture automobiles!
Don't let it fall!

Very disappointed
Don't believe the hype
Ironing is a breeze for the first time in my life!I am now ironing things that sat in my closet for years because it was such a chore to use my old irons. I got a little carried away, ironing my shorts, jeans, T-shirts, pillowcases, etc. I even ironed a shirt for my husband(-gasp-).
It uses regular tap water, and all you need to do is wipe it clean with a damp cloth if you use spray starch or finish. I've had this product for about 5 months, and am absolutely delighted - it's worth every penny and then some. (And no, I don't work for Rowenta!)
1. All irons should be at least as good as this one.
2. There is nothing extraordinary about this $120 iron, except its price.
3. Consumers shouldn't have to pay a fortune for a stainless steel soleplate, steam, and auto shutoff. Shouldn't these three things be basic to any iron? (Non-stick coatings and all the chemicals that go into making them aren't all that safe, nevermind that on an iron, they scratch easily.)
4. Because there is nothing extraordinary about this iron (or shouldn't be), that means most irons out there are cr*p... ;-]
5. The steam feature on this iron is excellent (all holes are actually holes through which steam can travel, not indentations made to look like holes that aren't really. The reservoir is see-through (good for ensuring full emptying after each session, as advised [but not always followed...].
6. The iron blows through water, probably some function of the steam feature being so good. The pour hole could be a tad larger... must watch carefully when pouring water.
7. The soleplate is beginning to discolor around some of the steam holes; staining isn't easy to remove. This iron doesn't get industrial use, so staining this early, using only steam, shouldn't happen.
8. The cord is secured at the base of the iron with a ball bearing-like feature: nice, but because it is plastic and not metal, the bearing often sticks, causing cord to hit & stick into the ironing board too often when sitting the iron on its heel...
9. The iron's handle design takes some getting used to. Is this style meant to be ergonomic? If so, Bosch engineers should know that it's hard on one's wrist (the positioning of the handle puts the iron slightly off balance when picking it up and using it). This is especially problemmatic if ironing for extended periods (more than two items). Too, the pebbling on the handle is more annoying than not (hurts the palm of my hand).
For $120, one *should* be picky. Will report back next January/February after warranty expires...
