I love the processor/blender but...
So far so goodWe've tried a Waring - the motor smoked on the second use. We bought an Ultrex and it has a great motor but the blade assembly continually freezes up and needs to be replaced. We've read all the reviews on all the other blenders on Amazon and it is apparent that the entire selection offered by every manufacturer is sub-standard at best. We bought the Euro-Pro based upon it's unique design and I am happy to report that it works remarkably well for it's price/feature set.
It makes a great margaritas (some things never change!) and it does a decent job busting up the ice into consistent, minute sized particles. If it can do this, than a smoothy would be no problem at all. We've used the food processor for various tasks and it also works remarkably well. It has a great little blender/beater bar that is great fun to watch (very cool!) and it creamed butter quite nicely. The tools and accessories are nicely stowed away, which is a tribute to the careful design that went into the final product. The motor is strong and both blender and processor make the most of what it has to offer. The only downside is that the makers assume that you know all about a food processor - if you're a novice, then you'll need to either experiment or get advice on what all the tools are and how to use them.
Pros:
Compact design
Nice & slick storage
Plenty of power
Decent at crushing ice
Cons:
No recipe book
No explanation on how all the tools & attachments are to be used
Could have a wider speed selection - 1 through 8 are really close, turbo is a quantum leap from the others
Bottom line is that we're very happy with this unit. We'll hold onto "ol' faithful" for awhile yet, just to make sure that we're in the clear, but so far so good - which is a lot more than I can say for the past few blenders we've tried. The five starts are relative to the others we've tried and compared. It could be better, but the rest are very sub-par.
If anything ever changes, we'll update our review.

Not too bad for the price...There are a couple of things that are detractions to the product. 1) It is noisy. When it kicks on it is rather loud and stays loud until the compressor turns off again. I am a bit worried about possible excessive vibrations but I don't know enough about the effects of such on wine and its storage to justify my fear. 2) The temperature range is supposed to stay within ten degrees but I find that on occasion it fluctuates a little more than that.
With all that said. I can't complain. I am not a connoisseur, just an enthusiast, and so this wine "cellar" is good enough for me.

Quick, powerful, but difficult to adjustThere is no comparison to milling your own flour as far as taste is concerned. The only problem I have is in adjusting the texture. They make it sound easier than it actually seems to be, although I might just be a moron and haven't quite figured out how to manipulate the dial well. That's probably the case, actually. In any case, the mill is worth the money, and you will likely not find a better deal on it.

Good microwave, but user interface needs attentionMy only complaint is that I don't believe Panasonic paid enough attention to the user interface. For the most common operations, I want to press as few buttons as possible. Sounds simple, right? Well, Panasonic messed it up with how you set the power level. This model's best feature is cooking at a specific power level. But if you want to set the power level for something other than 100%, you have to press the power button repeatedly. Pressing it once starts you out at level 10 (100%) and thus, this press really got you nowhere since level 10 is the default. Another press gets you level 9 (90%), another level 8 (80%), etc. If you want to cook on level 1 (10%), you have to press the freakin button 10 times. My previous microwave let you press the power button, and then select the power by pressing 1-10. Two presses. Done.
Also, once you press start, you are commited. You cannot change the power on the fly (and I don't think you can even check what the current power level is). I'm not sure what the problem is. I used to be able to do this with my old microwave. Not anymore. You have to start all over again by pressing stop/reset, then press stop/reset again, then select the power by pressing the power button to death, then type in the time, and then press start.
Come on Panasonic. I want to be able to set the power using the 1-10 key pad, and I want to at least know at what power level it is currently set (accidentally turned a pint of ice cream into hot milk last night because I thought I was on level 1). You made a technologically nice microwave, but you forgot about the end user and I'm starting to get "George Jetson button finger".
small but powerful
