Not Hot
Best fryer for the price!I am so glad I went with this deep fryer. It heats up quickly, the temperature stays consistant, it's solidly made, and clean up is a snap. The timer has proven to also be useful - which, by the way, is a 30 minute timer, not a 15 minute timer as the description reads. The lid comes off adding to the ease of cleaning. And I believe the bowl coming all the way out is VERY important! It's so much easier to empty your oil, and clean thorougly. Also, the fact that it is cool touch really is nice. Many of the new stainless ones are not cool touch. That's fine for a waffle iron, but a deep fryer is large, and too easy to nudge while working in the kitchen. I just feel safer with this one.
The only thing I would change would be for a digital timer, but for this price I'm not complaining!

OutRANGEous MicroHoodThe unit far exceeds my expectations in its cooking ability. Everything we have used it for, from warming up coffee to cooking vegetables, has come out perfectly hot without hot spots. It does a good job of keeping food warm without overcooking. We thought we would only use it occasionally, but is so easy to use and does it so well, we've ended up using it at almost every meal. The fan noise is more than we expected, however there are three settings for the fan and the lowest setting moves considerable air with little noise. The floor of the unit does get hot when the lights are used but we have not experienced any delay in cooking related to a cool down cycle. We have not received the $50.00 rebate yet, though the information with the rebate does say to allow 6-8 weeks for delivery. I wouldn't take the rebate as a deciding factor.
We love our MicroHood and recommend it in spite of the noise, heat and rebate issues. After all, who can find fault with an appliance that is so curtious it tells you to 'ENJOY YOUR MEAL' after it finishes cooking?!
A best buy
An amazing value! The buttons are easy to follow and the food cooks much better then in our old microwave. Also the plate never gets hot as it did for us in our old oven. And the food cooks not just on the outside edges, but in the middle as well equally! Amazingly good quality at an amazingly good price! We love it. And it is very pretty in white. The two level cooking with the shelf is awesome as well. The best quality microwave you can find at it price for sure!

Truly a Professional Food SlicerWhen I first got it, I tried slicing several items -- Pepperoni, bulk cheese (Cojack) and two different kinds of bread --regular "store" bread and a artisan loaf. The pepperoni came out in perfect, exactly the same thickness slices. The thickness knob did not slip, and the blade cut cleanly. My Cojack was perfect for grilled cheese sandwiches, and I got three even slices out of one slice of regular bread without tearing the bread! (That was a test to see what I could get away with). The artisan bread sliced perfectly for crostini. I sliced potatoes for potato chips, and they were all the same thickness,(actually, "thinness") and perfect for frying.
This aluminum and stainless steel German slicer is worth every penny you pay for it. The thickness adjustment knob stays where it's set, and the settings are repeatable, there's room under the blade for a large platter, the instant-on/off switch works perfectly, the motor is quiet and powerful, it's easy to clean and the slicer works exactly the way you always wanted a slicer to work--i.e., just like the one at the deli!
If you have the need, and room, for this rather large slicer, go for it! It's worth it.

Great shredder!
One stop choppingWell, I decided to put that big mixer to work overtime doing sausage (we got spoiled in Europe on homemade, unadulterated Italian sausage made by the neighborhood grocer.) And we like salad and slaw. This gadget goes together easily. You pop the unit onto the front connector on the mixer and feed the vegetables or meat into the hopper. You can shred, slice and grate.
The only thing this set doesn't do is fine chopping, but you know, you could probably add a tiny mini-processor and still have your counter relatively uncluttered.

Great Idea for a Cooler, but...The Wagan unit keeps things cool (as the name implies), but let's face it, this is no refridgerator, and for an electrically powered unit, I expect that it would keep drinks colder than using ice with a regular cooler, but it doesn't. Unless the Wagan cooler is left out in the snow in the middle of wintertime, it barely keeps things as cool as 40-42 degrees Farenheit when its about 72 degrees outside. WIth ice in a traditional cooler, you can expect to get things down to around 34-36 degrees, and in the summertime. And believe me this 4-8 degrees matters. In fact, the cooler performs much worse in hotter weather.
Also (and this is my biggest peeve), the cooler's AC power adapter died after less than one week of use---it's cheesy and probably not the stuff of power appliances like this Wagan cooler. Therefore, I would not suggest using the cooler as a full-time refridgerator/cooler in your office or den. The Wagan Cooler appliance package just isn't built tough enough for my relatively benign demands. Needs to keep the drinkies cool (I give it a "C-"), and needs to endure through typical (and specified I might add, by the manufacturer) use ("D-").
AC Adapter gets Hot1. The AC adapter gets hot during use, almost too hot to hold. This is not good, and was alarming enough for me to send it back.
The adapter does not look like the pictures on the web, and is labeled 'Caution: For Use with Technology Equipment'. What? I don't think this is techology equipment! It *is* rated 12v 5 amps, however.
2. The fan operates continuously and emits a distinctive pitched tone (469 Hz), rather than whir. It is loud and can be easily heard indoors from a distance of 20-25 feet. I found it disturbing. No doubt it would be fine in a car, but I intended to use this mostly indoors.
Love this little coolerWhen it was time for the exam, which is 3 days in CA, the hotel that I was staying at had ran out of their refrigerators. So, I took this little cooler and set it in the "cold" version. My food stayed COLD the whole time, not cool, COLD. I had cold cuts, cheeses, and soup that never went bad during the period of time.
When I checked the temperature, when set as cold, it stayed consistently at 32 degrees (colder than my refrigerator), and when set as hot, it was 120 degrees. It really works well.
The whirling noice that the other reviewer mentioned is correct, but it is not annoying at all. Since it doesn't have a high pitch sound, it was just fine. Even when I had it in the hotel room right next to the bed. And when you take the bar exam, every little noise would annoy you - trust me on that.
Hopefully I passed the exam. I would then give credit to this little cooler for having kept me fed during the ordeal with little hassle.

Cuisinart CSB-33 QuikPrep Hand BlenderNo way. My wife bought it at a local store, & there wasn't any such thing included.
hard to wash
Haven't used the blender since we got this!Save the blender for margaritas, this does almost everything else, but it's convenient and quick to clean!
