Worth Every Cent!
I had a twelve year old hand blender from another company that just broke one of my favorite blades. The company is no longer around so I just couldn't buy a new blade for it. I waited a month to see if I could do without having one and found I could not. I was tired of putting my soups and spinach in my big blender (which did not do the best job) and cleaning up all the mess afterwards.

I also needed a new coffee pot so while I was online at Amazon.com looking at the Braun coffee pots, I looked at the Braun MR5550 MBC-HC and read the reviews. According to the reviews, this was Braun's best out of two hand blenders they carried.

I mostly use it to puree soups, cream spinach and to mix sauces and gravies. It's so much easier to just put the hand blender right in the pot and use it then to try to put everything in a traditional blender. Clean up is a lot easier too.

The motor is very powerful too. One day I used the wrong frozen spinach which had about 25% stems in it. The hand blender creamed the spinach and the stems to a perfect consistency in about one minute.

I have not had the chance to use the other attachments with it, but even without all the attachments, the blender by itself is worth the money.

I hope this review helps you!

LOVE IT!
At a friend's suggestion I recently bought the Braun Multiquick Professional Hand Blender. I wasn't sure about spending so much on a piece of kitchen equipment I had always lived without... but I finally decided to take the leap of faith. I couldn't be happier with the product! It's easy to use and easy to clean. It makes fantastic creamed soups. Because of the metal blending shaft, you can use this hand blender right in the pot of whatever you're cooking (thus saving you from the chore of cleaning another container!). I recently made a very inexpensive and delicious soup with onions, zucchini, eggplant, water, Thai curry paste and a can of coconut milk. I blended it with my hand blender and created a very rich-tasting, filling soup for pennies! Now that Autumn has arrived, I'm looking forward to making pumpkin soup with my hand blender! If you're considering the purchase, just go for it! I don't think you will be disappointed.

We love it and great customer service
I know that it's not usually a good idea to buy appliances as gifts, but my wife had seen a lesser model and commented on how helpful it would be, so I ordered a Braun MR5550MBC-HC for her as a Christmas gift. It's turned out to be the gift she enjoys the most! For most kitchen chores it has replaced the cabinet full of hand mixer, mixer, food processor and chopper. Chores like finely shredding cheese were never easier, and as the family cheese shredder this is something I appreciate.

Making it even better has been Braun's customer service. When we opened the box on Christamas, we found that the large container was badly broken where the handle joined it. I e-mailed Amazon to see what to do about a replacement. I quickly got a response saying to contact the manufacturer, a response I usually dread as it means long hours on the phone and a big run-around. However, one short call to Braun later, where I immediately spoke with a real person, and we had a brand new container on our doorstep in less than a week at no cost to us. What a pleasant surprise! And this was just after Christmas when many manufacturers are to busy to even respond. Most manufacturers could learn from this experience.

If you bake - or want to - you need one
There's not that much to say, is there? This dough blender works perfectly. It's much faster and more comfortable than the old "two knives" method. And it's sure easier to clean than a food processor. For making biscuits, pie or tart crust, or any other kind of baked pastry product, it's a great tool to have. It costs less than $10, so if you're thinking about getting it, stop thinking and do it.
A tip: if you're good at planning ahead (I'm not, unfortunately), you might want to try putting it in the refrigerator an hour or so before using it, which will help to ensure that the butter doesn't melt excessively before you can finish cutting it into the dough.

No more hurt hands!
This tool makes it so much easier to make dough for biscuits, no more cramped hands! You'll never go back to the "two knives" method again! It's also incredibly easy to clean, I just stick it in the dishwasher. So far, so good! Highly recommend!

Fast for dough
If you make biscuits by hand (no Bisquick!) or make a pastry dough now and then, this is a useful device. I used to just cut in the dough by rubbing the shortning in with cool hands or with a fork, but this is so much faster. Unlike a food processor (which I no longer have) it doesn't heat the dough. The thin tines don't clog the way a fork does.

THE BEST WAY TO MELT CHOCOLATE, AND GREAT FOR FONDUE TOO!
I saw this product at the Housewares Show in Chicago last March. I bought two of them on www.chocolatemelter.com and I use them for dipping stawberries and bananas. I love to do the fondue thing. Dark Chocolate is the best in this cute little machine!!!

CHOCOLATE MELTER
I have been looking for a method to melt my chocolate for years. This handy kitchen appliance was so easy to use in keeping my chocolate from burning. In the past I used the microwave which would scorch the chocolate and ruin it for dipping chocolate.

I would certainly recommend this product if you are into a simple method of melting chocolate.

Great Chocolate Product
I bought this chocolate melter from the website (chocolatemelter.com). We used the deluxe chocolate melter to melt chocolate for Christmas and give treats to our neighbors. It worked very well. My kids had a lot of fun too. I have always hated doing chocoalte in the microwave or double boiler becuase of the hassel and I would offen burn it and then the whole thing would be ruined. This product made the melting part a breeze. I would suggest it to anyone who is new at at chocolate melting or even those who have been at it for some time. 5 Stars!

What you need for blending protein and vitamin powders
I have had my sturdy Braun blender for years. I use it to mix protein drinks right in the "jar" or to smooth out a lumpy gravy when I forget to use a whisk.

Most chefs have one of these tools to make smooth sauces and creamy rich gravies. Definately a must have in the modern kitchen.

This is the only tool I have that will adequately blend
my All-One Vitamin Powder into milk and fruit juices.

So, basically, if I didn't have this item, I'd be less
healthy. Great product that lasts for years and years.

charlie sheen endorsed it, so ...
yeah, that was the first time that i ever saw one of these hand blenders - in the movie wall street with charlie sheen, martin sheen and michael douglas.

anyway, this hand blender is amazing. i would not order the one with the whisk - why? because when you put that whisk into a put it spurts the batter all across your kitchen. how much fun is that? not much i tell you. but, having said that, the one with the chopper is ok, but really you are not going to be using it too much. you probably already have a food processor of some sort, and redundency is not something that i like in my kitchen.

so, to review, if you spend more than like 5 minutes in your kitchen get this awesome kitchen tool!

Everything I wanted and more!
This little thing really does the job and does it well! I was looking for something to mix my protein drinks in the morning, baby formula in the eve, and some cooking stuff in between. It's got some serious power for protein shakes mixed with fruits. I've only been using 1/2 power for the shakes and lowest power for the baby formula. Real easy cleanup is one of my favorite things about this little delight. Very well built. Feels solid and easy to use. You won't be disappointed.

perfect
I just got my blender and used it for the first time. I made a soup of pureed vegetables. Previously I would have to pour some of the cooked veggies and broth into the countertop blender, then put that blended batch in a separate container while I added more from the main pot on the stove and so on. Generally slopping things around as I did it. Tonight, I cooked the veggies in the broth, then put the immersion blender in and whirred it all up right there in the pot. Perfect. Rinse the easily removeable blender attachment and viola! done! It was everything I wanted and more. It's powerful and quiet and beautiful.

best mixer I've ever used
I'm so glad I bought this mixer. It has everything I wanted in a hand mixer and more. The batter slides right off the beaters-even mashed potatoes. It starts slow so there's little to no splattering. It has lots of power for a hand mixer. One of the nicest features is the digital timer. I now know if I've beat the batter 1 minute on low and then 2 minutes on high-the mixer is counting the seconds. The sifter is nice but I don't use that a lot since I forget to sift flour half the time. I do use the whisk a lot and it is very nice also. The only improvement I would make is the speed settings. You have to move up by small increments using and arrow button until you reach the speed you want. I don't really need twenty speeds and it would be faster to just pick a speed. But this is a pretty small thing so it still gets five stars from me.

Nice!
This is a replacement for a 10 year old Sunbeam handheld. So far I have used the whisk and the beaters, but not the sifter. The whisk seemed like it would be flimsy at first, but it works very well. What I really like are the beaters. As the description states, without the center post they really are easier to clean. Children may not care for these beaters because the batter does not cling to them very well, leaving very little to lick off. The other features I like are found on other newer mixers - the slow start up to prevent spatter and the timer.
Addendum: I used the sifter for the first time. It works very well, is not at all messy and is fast! One thing I am a little concerned about is that the mixer motor started "groaning" when I was using it in very thick cookie dough. The dough was very difficult to mix with a spoon by hand, so it was probably more of a job for a stand mixer than a hand mixer in the first place. My rating of 5 stars stands!

Older model
I've had an older model for around six years and it's wonderful! I use it several times per week. Today I just had to write a review because I made cauliflower soup. One part called for transfering the soup into a blender in batches. All I had to do was stick the blender into the sauce pan - quick, easy, no mess to deal with!

I've Had This Blender For Over A Year
I have been making smoothies almost everyday and they come out great. Put my decaf coffee and 1% milk in the microwave and froth it with this stick-like device and in 10 seconds it froths. Have used it to whip baked potatoes into creamy mashed. Am always thinking I'm over-taxing its little motor, but no, I start it up and its still working.

this blender is wonderful
I've gone through quite a few (consumer) blenders before I finally found this one.

This blender is a sure winner! It's very powerful, very well built and super easy to clean. Yes, it's [a little] than your typical consumer model, but it'll last a lot longer and it's so much more fun to use.

Decisions, Decisions, Decisions
What to buy? How do you narrow the choices, there are so many Waring Blenders? I will tell you this, this Waring 7010WHW Blender is one industrial quality piece of equipment. (This model is marked Commercial on the motor cover on bottom.) I just made up a smoothie with a lot of frozen fruit. When it go so thick most blenders would be showing smoke, this thing kept right on grinding, without losing speed. Under all that pressure the whole thing started to slowly walk across the counter. I shut it off and said, "Wow, this is one cool piece of equipment" I have had other blenders that smoked, and the Oster lost a gasket seal on the bottom and leaks. This thing is industrial grade. Now on to the decision about which one to buy.
The experience I had with a cheaper blender going up in smoke, and the reviews on the Kitchen Aid having the same problems, I decided, as many noted, that the Waring Blenders are what the pros use, and it would be a good idea to buy one also. I was looking at the Pro Bar Blender with the stainless cup. I like the idea that you don't have to worry about breakage. If you have a lot of kids, or a clumsy spouse :-) that might be the way to go. I like this model because it has the glass, and I want to see to make sure it is clean when I am done using it.
The wattage is a question. All I can say is that this one is 360 watts, whereas the Bar Pro is 390. It is kind of funny but the Kitchen Aid mixer is 500 watts, and if you read the reviews, the motors are going up in smoke. So I wouldn't take a few extra watts too seriously.
One of the reasons why I bought this model, is because it has the word "Health" on the front. The one I received, which is the same unit, and model number, says Pro instead. I understand pictures can't always be up to date.
Another factor to consider is the weight. This model is 12 pounds shipping weight, and the other Waring Blenders are 8 or 9. Since these are made from Cast Metal Bases, as well as a cast metal cup holder base, the substantial weight is a sign of strength, and durabiity. This is the heaviest unit, and has the highest list price. (Maybe that is because of the added timer, and larger base)
The important thing is this model comes with the 5 year motor guarantee. That is not stated on many of the models. At the Waring site, they have a different designation-area for their "commercial grade" equipment. Their consumer line is lower in cost, and not guaranteed as long.
I bought this blender, and a smoothie book. What a great way to create a healthy family. Kids don't want to eat fruit? When you make a pure frozen fruit shake, out of just fruit, and a little cinnamon, they gobble them up, and you don't have to worry about fruit spoilage. When the whole family falls in love with them, a commercial grade unit like this Waring 7010WHW will give you the performance you need.

Top of The Line
This is without a doubt the best item I've ever purchased.
I hate sounding like a commercial, but I honestly don't know how I got along without it. It absolutely liquidfies everything!
It's an AMAZING Blender and I strongly urge anyone who is looking for a Blender to purchase this one.

Waring PBB210 Professional Bar Blender-Waring

Professional Home Blender
As an ex-bartender and ice cream parlor manager, I am particular about my shakes and smoothies. The two speeds are sufficient for anything as the 390 watt moter handles all I toss into the carafe. I like the 40 oz, clear carafe better than the 32 oz stainless steel version, (the extra eight ounces makes for quicker social bartendering), because you can watch your beverage develop and the handle makes for easy pouring.

scared...
My husband baught me this for my birthday because he knows that I love to cook, but I was too afraid to use it because it is expensive and I didnt want to break it so I bought a cheeper one.. but kept this for looks!

WAY BETTER THAN A KITCHEN-AID!!!
This machine is not only beautiful, but very powerful. I purchased mine on eBay for $510. The stainless steel bowl is very big,it's great for huge quanities. I would like if they had a smaller bowl to go with this for smaller batches. It still works very well. I can't believe the power. It whipped my mashed potatoes with ease. The stainless steel blender is awesome. I used it for puree's. It does a great job. You don't have to worry about it leaking like the cheap ones.
I can't wait to do more baking with this great machine. I need to learn how to mix the ingredients when making a cake. The instructions on how to add them aren't very good. I would suggest you purchase a book about using stand mixers if you are a novice like me.

If you don't want it anymore....for Jennifer
I would gladly pay shipping to take that off your hands!!

try and remember, it's just a machine, a tool to help you. if your husband spent that kind of money on a german machine, you probably can't do *anything* to hurt it. Good luck!
