Most people expect a blender to blend with a minimum of fuss and a maximum of efficiency. The BOSCH MMB 2000 blender does this, even if the price seems a tad high. One of the problems in choosing a blender is that its function is well, just performing one task. There are much cheaper models that do that, so how can Bosch justify the elevated price tag? First, the solidity of the construction is a function of its utility. Most cheap blenders are plastic things that look, sound, and work on the cheap. Why pay 30 to 40 dollars for a blender that does not do the job as thoroughly as a powerhouse like this one? Further, the BOSCH 2000 is an imposing and heavy piece of equipment that promises years of faithful service. I have crunched ice cubes in quick time and have made puree with no trouble. The cleanup time is minimal and easy. Finally, the customer service is fast and ready to make any adjustments (I had a minor problem that it corrected in only a few days). For those who like fruity smoothies, batter mixes, and wish to avoid extensive cleanups, the BOSCH MMB2000 at $139 is the right tool at the right price.

This kitchen machine (it is much more than a mixer and a blender) is one of the best things I've bought for my kitchen. The design of every accessory and part is superb. There is so much attention being given to detail. I have the slicer/shredder and the juicer, on top of the included mixer and blender. I highly recommend this to anyone.

I don't understand why the KitchenAid machines sell so much better. They are slightly cheaper, but are not as versatile or as powerful (or, as well designed). Don't get me wrong--the KA machines are nice machines, but this one blows them out of the kitchen by any measure.

Sometimes a kitchen appliance has to do double-duty in a single day. Often, you don't want to dirty another dish just so you can empty your blender for a new recipe. If you have a SPARE blender pitcher, you won't have to. Think about those big family dinners where you'd love to store and chill gazpacho or salsa till you pour it easily into serving dishes. Or times when keeping smoothies in the fridge till guests arrived (late, of course!) seemed to save the day. Use one for pancake batter and one for scrambling eggs for breakfast. It's so quick!! I've had the bosch blender for over a year and find it hard to believe this pitcher/blending unit would break (it washes sooooo nicely) so you probably won't need it for replacement purposes. However, having 2 on hand is a life-saver, a time-saver and a HUGE aggravation saver and relieves me from having to rush handwash my original pitcher. You will love having a spare to pop in the fridge!! BUY ONE NOW!!

Shopping for a blender can get aggravating because of so many things to compare, and you may end up convincing yourself that you have to spend $150 or more to get something lasting. This blender will prove that philosophy wrong. Take advantage of the fact that this is a new company offering this incredible machine at such a low price...I guarantee that won't last long. I had to wait more than three months to get mine from Amazon (who were nice enough to upgrade my shipping to 2nd FedEx free of charge to compensate for the long wait).

To start, this is the quietest blender I have used so far. Then, the way the glass jug fits over the base is different and gives an added feeling of security. If you look closely at the picture, you will see two of the three metal, wide "prongs" that stick up from the base and kind of cradle the jug. It just FEELS good. Also, the six-blades have a unique design (in fact, I thought they were defective and bent in wierd directions), but you realize that they were especially made to crush ice. I have never been able to crush ice this easily. No more of those chunks that end up below the blades, because one arm of the blades actually aims DOWNWARDS. Even the top of the jug is nice; it is heavy and fits snugly. Believe it or not, even the electric plug is designed better than all else; it has a loop at the end that allows you to safely unplug it with wet hands.

To top it all off, the design and material makes this look like an expensive designer blender. The simple elegance of the switch is just the right touch.

In all, I love this blender. It has actually inspired me and I now want to blend everything, including my AM cereal.

This one's turned entertaining at my house from Budweiser and Chardonnay to Stawberry Daquiris and Margueritas. I've used glass and plastic blenders before that I used to hide under the kitchen counter but the sleek and stylish stainless steel design of this blender have made it a proud showpiece on my bar. It crushes berries and even ice with ease and the pitcher also makes a good cocktail shaker for more liquid drinks. The pitcher is made of thick stainless steel that looks like it's made to last. Looks great, works well - 5 stars!

I've had this blender for a year now, and it is definitely worth the money. The stainless jar does not hold food odors from, say, a super-garlicky chipotle adobado sauce to pina coladas, it's easy to clean, and will not shatter from physical or thermal shock. But the real beauty is the 1/2 hp motor. Even under the heaviest demand, like hummous, a pitcher of frozen daquiris or a 1/2 gallon batch of chile d'arbol hot sauce, this thing just keeps on grinding without so much as a complaint. Haven't even been able to get it hot, unlike several so-called "commercial strength" blenders I've ended up burning out. Pricey, yes, but if you do a lot of high volume, heavy-duty blending, this is the one you want.

It's never leaked. I've never had to replace the blades. Reasonably easy to disassemble/assemble for deep cleaning, though this is usually unecessary if you're diligent about rinsing it right after use. And the coupling with the motor has never slipped, like it used to do on my old Waring. Sure, this one doesn't have the show-car looks of the chrome and glass Waring; it's built for power and utility, not show. Kind of like comparing a 1957 Cadillac to a Caterpillar backhoe.

The only thing they could have done better was the standard vinyl center-removable lid. With the abuse I put my kitchen tools through, it cracked after a few months. A more durable metal lid would have been nice, but luckily mine came with an extra (smaller, smoked vinyl) blender jar and lid, so no worries.

I've had this blender for over 2 years. Blends well, cleans up well, parts haven't rusted. Overall, very attractive!

After tearing through 2 stick blenders in 6 years, I tried this one -- and let me tell you -- the KitchenAid takes the prize. The motor (the highest powered I found on the market) is tough enough for batters and heavy mixing, and still with the multiple speeds and whisk attachment, is light-handed enough for making fast work of whipping cream, and egg whites.

The chopper is worth the upgrade from the stick alone as it will do everything the old counter-top hogging food processors ever dreamed of doing, but with half the clean up time. It also makes it easy for chopping just enough for one or two servings without breaking out the heavy hardware.

Unless you use a mixer for tons of cookie dough or to knead bread (in which case you want the biggest and toughest counter-top kitchenAid stand mixer you can afford...) then this is the best I've seen. Stick this blender down into a bubbling hot soup pot full of veggies, beans and meat -- it will puree the whole pot into a smoothe and beautiful soup in a matter of 2-3 minutes.

A great product (and a great gift.)

This blender sets itself apart from other blenders in a couple of important ways. Its glass is shorter and wider than other blenders, and this in combination with the shape of the blades makes it very difficult for stuff to hand about and not get blended. Also, it is a powerhouse. It has a fat motor and just will not let you down. But, and this is possibly my favorite, the cord wraps up neatly in the base for clutter free storage.

I've had a Krups espresso machine for several years, and I've ground up this little attachement several times in the garbage disposal. When I go to the store where I bought my machine, they usually claim to carry the item and go to the display to get one and there are none there and I'm told to "check back" later. On a few other occasions I've "checked back" and the store clerk has them under the counter and just hands me one as they know it's a tough item to find so they'll do me this little customer service to help me out. But then if they're tough to find....why don't they stock more? I suspect that they perpetuate the problem by handing out this tough to find item and just never buy more. I've never bought a replacement, I've just had them handed to me. This little thing is absolutley required to make decent frothed milk and after I stupidly grind it up by accident, I'm more than willing to buy a replacement. I've asked at every store that sells this model to help me get one or more replacements for future garbage disposal incidents but I'm always told to "check back". I just wanted a way to buy this thing on a regular basis, it's small, gets lost or "disposaled" so I just want to know where to go. Leave it to amazon to add this silly little item to their site and save me many frustrating trips to the department store.
