My whole family has one and we loves it!!! It's a live save for onions!!! No kitchen should be without one!!! Just don't put the whole thing in the dishwasher!!!

OK, be prepared for a complicated story.

Three years ago, I was living in Washington DC. I bought this blender at a kitchen supply store there. A year later, I moved to Paris. Before moving, we sold the blender at a yard sale. Today, I have another blender, but I still miss this one. (I can't believe I am saying that about a kitchen appliance) Anyway, when I had the blender, it worked very well. I made smoothies with it, and because of the different speeds I was able to chose between a "chunky" and a "smooth" beverage (Please Elie, get a life!)
To make it quick, get this if you want. I really don't care. All I can tell you is I was able to blend happily with it.

This is a well designed product which fits comfortablly in your hand. The power is outstanding and whips up malts and shakes in seconds. The detatchable drive shaft is very convienent for washing. The blades are very sharp too. It is a tad-bit noisy but not as loud as a regular blender. Thanks Oster!

When I got this blender in the mail, it was broken right out of the box. Since it was a Speigel item, I called them and they sent a new one to me via free 2 day air. I was very pleased by that. The blender has a sleek look and fits well into my hand and on my counter without taking up a lot of space. The controls are easy to use and the accessories that this thing comes with Amazon.com doesn't even list. With the 3 speeds, it has all the power you need... very powerful! Accessories like blender attachment, wisks, dough kneaders, mini food processor, large stainless steel mixing cup and cover. Overall this is one of the best blenders out there with more accessories than any other blender out there.

I've used two knives to cut butter into scones and other batters using hard fats for years, but now wonder how I ever did without this wonderful tool. It cuts through even the coldest butter with ease, cleans like a dream, and feels solid and comfortable in my hand. The Oxo product pales in comparison. What a shame this has been discontinued. Was just about to order one each for my sisters. Fine product. If you can find it elsewhere, grab it.

There are two things that set this product apart from the other smoothie makers. One is the drip tray, which may seem like a small detail, but I had a Back To Basics smoothie maker that dripped from the spout, making a sticky mess on the counter. The other thing that sets the Villaware blender apart is that it has a 700 watt motor, not a 500 watt, like so many other similar blenders. This means that this blender is made for heavy duty use. My Back To Basics 500 watt smoothie maker gave out after a couple months of use, and even before it gave out, it was very loud and the motor gave off a strange smell when it was used. But this blender by Villware is top-notch. The container also seems bigger than other brands- it holds 7 cups. And just like all smoothie makers, the stirring stick makes it easy to get all the ice crushed, and the spout makes serving the drinks a breeze. P.S. They (Villaware) also make a double sized smoothie blender (one base with two motors and two 7-cup containers) that I bought for a wedding shower gift, and the bride and grrom LOVED it- they have since used it each time I have been over for parties, and rave about what a great gift it was.

I had a Braun hand mixer that finally went kapoop. I bought this one because of the price and I love it more than my old Braun. The detatchable neck makes it super easy to clean, and the container that came with it is actually usable. It holds over 1 quart.

I like drinking a smoothie during lunch at the office, but don't want to cart around a icebox full of ingredients, or a giant blender... The Tribest Personal Blender is perfect because I could leave the motor base at work, and can bring the perfect amount of ingredients for my own smoothie in the cup! All I have to do, is put it on the base and let it blend! I get fresh smoothies every day at work! And I don't have to worry about making a mess, having too many or too little ingredients, or lugging around a bulky blender!

I just can't live without this blender! It has to the best purchase I've made all year! First of all, I use the grinder blade in the morning to grind my coffee beans, and to prepare my healthy smoothie with the blending blade. (all of which takes minutes of my time) I take my smoothie on the go in the cup I blend it in, and drink my smoothie on the way to work. I also use it to prepare fresh baby food for my little girl in the 8 oz. cup once daily (I use the lids to store the food in the fridge or take it with us on the go). Clean up is easy and just takes less than a minute. I'm just glad that I can have all the convenience of a blender without the inconvenience of the bulkiness of a large blender. With my hectic schedule, this machine is a godsend!! I would recommend it to anyone!!!
