Important Point to Consider Before Purchase!
Excellent product
Great for limited or tight spacesCustomize the temperature settings to how what you prefer wines. For added security, you can lock the cabinet, which is nice. The top of the cellar is skid proof so you can open and serve your wines up top without the worry of it slipping off. Last, but not least, the legs are adjustable and can be used on any flooring surface.
The cabinet is a greatsize, but not to big to go in a small apartment, office or fit in a tight space in a kitchen.

Poor Service
If you need a cellar and are looking for a great buy.......If you are on a budget, have limited space or are just looking for a basic temp-controlled, convenient place to keep your best wines, you can't go wrong with this. I haven't seen other 60-btl. chillers in this price range.
If you're thinking about getting a smaller model, consider upgrading to this 60-bottle unit. Your wines will add up quickly and, for the slightly extra cost and height, you'll be glad you have the storage available. My friends thought it was too much for me to get a 60-btl chiller (and I live in FL where temp control IS NEEDED), but they've come around as the cooler's become fuller. And a couple of wine novices are now interested in getting a cellar for their homes.
It should be said -- as one of the reviewers below noted -- the compressor is not silent. You'll hear it kicking in. So don't get this one if you are looking for a quiet deluxe chiller.
Last note: kudos to Amazon for including this item with my Free SuperSavers shipping options! Not having to schlep the big box home from the store and up the stairs was worth it!!
Good Luck !
Great Wine CellarFree shipping on a product of this size is great. Storing wine without refrigeration in Florida is not wise. Now we have an excuse to stock up.
The cellar looks very sleek in our kitchen. It sits right next to our refrigerator. I agree with other reviewers that the unit may be a little loud when the cooler cycles on, and that 60 bottles is more of a theoretical capacity.
Overall, I'd highly recommend this product.

- 24-bottle wine cellar with LED temperature read-out
- Adjustable electronic thermostat ranges from 39 to 65 degrees
- Automatic settings for red and white wines
- Soft interior lighting and glass door with brushed metal handle
- Measures 24-2/7 by 22-2/5 by 31-8/9 inches
List price: $488.00 (that's 45% off!)

Fine if you're not too fussyAlso, the temperature setting fluctuates on a daily basis probably too much for someone who is very concerned about a constant and exact temperature. There is also no humidity setting.
One other caution: to actually hold 24 bottles, you'll have to do some creative bottle arranging. Many wine experts say one should buy the largest capacity one should afford. With that said, you might want to spring for at least a 30 bottle capacity if you think you'll be collecting in the future.
For us, the unit is fine. If this model at this price had been unavailable, I probably would not have bought one at all. So, as an entry level wine cellar it is OK.

Important Point to ConsiderThe main thing to remember here is that you need to either situate this in a dark place (a basement would be better than a garage since your electric bill will be less) or you need to plan on using it only for short-term wine storage -- very important fact to remember in deciding on models to purchase.
Great wine cooler for small spaces - holds more, too!I use this to store red wines, and it does a great job for my needs. I have a small apartment, and this unit's size was perfect. It keeps the wines at the proper temp, and yes there's a faint bit of gurgling noise when the compressor is operating, but no more noticeable that your household fridge.
For the money, this is really a great deal, esp. with the 5-year warranty. ...

Great Idea for a Cooler, but...The Wagan unit keeps things cool (as the name implies), but let's face it, this is no refridgerator, and for an electrically powered unit, I expect that it would keep drinks colder than using ice with a regular cooler, but it doesn't. Unless the Wagan cooler is left out in the snow in the middle of wintertime, it barely keeps things as cool as 40-42 degrees Farenheit when its about 72 degrees outside. WIth ice in a traditional cooler, you can expect to get things down to around 34-36 degrees, and in the summertime. And believe me this 4-8 degrees matters. In fact, the cooler performs much worse in hotter weather.
Also (and this is my biggest peeve), the cooler's AC power adapter died after less than one week of use---it's cheesy and probably not the stuff of power appliances like this Wagan cooler. Therefore, I would not suggest using the cooler as a full-time refridgerator/cooler in your office or den. The Wagan Cooler appliance package just isn't built tough enough for my relatively benign demands. Needs to keep the drinkies cool (I give it a "C-"), and needs to endure through typical (and specified I might add, by the manufacturer) use ("D-").
AC Adapter gets Hot1. The AC adapter gets hot during use, almost too hot to hold. This is not good, and was alarming enough for me to send it back.
The adapter does not look like the pictures on the web, and is labeled 'Caution: For Use with Technology Equipment'. What? I don't think this is techology equipment! It *is* rated 12v 5 amps, however.
2. The fan operates continuously and emits a distinctive pitched tone (469 Hz), rather than whir. It is loud and can be easily heard indoors from a distance of 20-25 feet. I found it disturbing. No doubt it would be fine in a car, but I intended to use this mostly indoors.
Love this little coolerWhen it was time for the exam, which is 3 days in CA, the hotel that I was staying at had ran out of their refrigerators. So, I took this little cooler and set it in the "cold" version. My food stayed COLD the whole time, not cool, COLD. I had cold cuts, cheeses, and soup that never went bad during the period of time.
When I checked the temperature, when set as cold, it stayed consistently at 32 degrees (colder than my refrigerator), and when set as hot, it was 120 degrees. It really works well.
The whirling noice that the other reviewer mentioned is correct, but it is not annoying at all. Since it doesn't have a high pitch sound, it was just fine. Even when I had it in the hotel room right next to the bed. And when you take the bar exam, every little noise would annoy you - trust me on that.
Hopefully I passed the exam. I would then give credit to this little cooler for having kept me fed during the ordeal with little hassle.

Little White Fridge that Gos
It worksInside, its perfect for holding sodas or beer or what not and holds more than you would think. This unit is not the best for bottled beers though, you have to take out the only rack inside which holds the drip tray.

Great little fridge!
I like it!As far as freezing everything, I have not had that problem. I put a 'refrigerator' thermometer in and from day one it kept the refrigerator part in the range recommended on the thermometer with it set on 3 to 4. I have kept two frozen dinners in the freezer part and they are frozen solid.
Just like anything else, sometimes you just get a 'bad' one.

SKYBOX BY MAYTAG REVIEW
Yeah, It works!!!($2.50 a pop) I think maytag should have supplied us with them though, but I am just happy to see the corona cards coming in.
Hopefully they will be getting more college panels in too!
Here's a tip, try ebay for some panels and beverage cards.
My friends love it, now all i need is a jukebox!
