Some advice
I finally broke down and bought this attachment for the Concept machine. It's good, though it took me a while to figure out how to use properly.

First, my freezer wasn't turned very cold. This caused problems. Make sure your freezer is cold. They recommend around 0F or -18C.

Second, don't put too much in one batch. The ice cream recipes I got from a Williams-Sonoma book were about twice as large as this unit will do. A good rule of thumb is that the container should only be filled up 60% with liquid. It will increase in volume from the creaming process.

If you avoid these two problems, I'm sure it will be a good attachment for you as well.

Works great but turn table that attaches to freezer sticks
This works great and very easy to use. Only issues is that the Freezer container gets stuck to the turn table and is very hard to remove. I suggest buying a second turntable and not bother removing them from the freezer container.

good deal
very good performance for a $10 appliance. Yes, it only chops small quantities, but that's exactly the advantage for a 1-2 person household. It's so small I have left it reside on my 2-foot counter. Also, it is easy to clean and this is a big deal for me because I use it DAILY! the only negative is that the bowl cracked after a few months use, but again, giving $10 every 6 months for such a convenience is worth it.

Fantastic chopper!!
The only negative part about this little chopper is that is does only chop small quantities, however, it does such a fantastic job, and it's such a great price, that it hardly matters. ANYone who cooks should have this! EASY to use and clean, chops amazingly. I highly recommend it - and no, they didnt pay me to write this! :)

If only I had two!
I have been in desperate need of a food processor for several years and bought this one because it was such a good price for the product. Since I bought it I have used it nearly every day for something... It has a great variety of attachments included with it, and I have used most of them in the first week. I love the dough hook and the whisk attachments--they make it possible to do certain foods fast that were huge undertakings in the past--like bread. The 12 cup capacity was a big selling point for me, but it also includes a 4 cup bowl for chopping nuts and smaller batches of things. The citrus juicer is fabulous!!! On a whole, it is easy to clean, you can either do it by hand or top rack of the dishwasher. One of my problems is that I use it so much I end up washing it by hand several times a day! The only peeves I have with it are 1) I wish the bowl had a spout for when I make smoothies, pancake batter, etc., and 2) the "recipie" book that is included only has 4 recipies in it and they are obviously translated from french because they give liquid measurements in oz. instead of cups. I would not purchase the recipie book they offer because i knew it would also be translated from french. Instead, purchase The Food Processor Bible or Real Food from your food processor from Amazon...

Great product!
This is a great product! It is easy to use, fast and very easy to clean. The only problem is, it is a little small (really a mini chopper!). This product is very convenient for small jobs. I think T-fal should make more products available in the US!

run away, this is garbage
This is the biggest piece of junk I've seen in my life..
It makes me angry to think that I wasted good money on this.
I thought Cuisenart was a good brand, but like everyone else
they just slap their name on a piece of Chineese manufactured junk. Don't even think about buying this piece of junk. I wish I could use a stronger word than "junk".. junk is too kind.

Not as good as it looks
I bought the reconditioned version of this product. (For $... The price has dropped by half since then. That figures.) It arrived cosmetically and functionally near-new. It's easy to use and to clean. And like one earlier reviewer claimed, it crushes ice just fine. Unfortunately, that's the end of the positive comments.

Negative: The pulse button stopped working after a week. The blender jar is on the small side. The food processor is small and very noisy.

But worse, the little toy motor on this blender just doesn't have the oomph to do a serious job. It was unable to puree a batch of hummus, for instance. And when I tried to make a very soft pate, the motor overheated and produced a lot of smoke, and small plastic pieces fell out of the bottom. We are not impressed.

I would have thought that the electronic control would provide burnout protection, but apparently not. My kitchen still smells like burning motor. I guess I'll have to give up and get a Vitamix.

This appliance is fine for mixing drinks, slicing carrots, and grating cheese. Just don't expect it to do any serious kitchen work.

Nice buy for the price
I brought the unit with low expectations. Results are not too bad.

General
1. Very nice appearance.
2. Very sturdy with non-skid feet.

Blender
1. Above average power
2. Glass jar is a nice touch.
3. Slight smell of ozone after 10 seconds of operation.
4. Blender noise did not bother me.
5. Easy to take apart to clean and put back together
6. Makes great milk shake.

Food processor
1. Average power
2. Plastic safety locks may break easily. Don't apply excessive force locking / unlocking the processor attachment from the base.
3. Good for 1 or 2 people.

This is not a professional grade gadget. Treat it with a kid glove and it works charms.

Terrific for everyday cooking
This product saves a lot of time in ingredient chopping for daily cooking, and even some entertaining duties like dips and spreads where you don't need perfect dicing. You will have to cut your vegetables into 1 inch chunks before chopping, but it still saves time and it's very easy to clean. Chopping onion, green pepper & celery for jambalaya took 3 pulses for each vegetable. Garlic, onion & cilantro for salsa were done together in seconds. A garlic clove and other small amounts of anything will fly up to the top of the bowl away from the blade, so chop it with another part of the recipe or do several cloves at once, ditto for fresh herbs. It is not going to replace hand chopping for vegetables that need to be uniform (as in asian cooking) and perfect-looking (as for a condiment tray for company) and tomatoes become puree in 3 pulses unless you really make them small pieces before processing, so I still chop tomatoes by hand. Overall, I love mine and wouldn't be without one now.

Great, Little Machine
This is a great, little machine. It takes up very little counter space and is cute so it is easy to leave out and use. It is great for chopping or mixing small amounts. Cleans easily. The reversible blade design is a neat feature. It came very well packaged, in mint condition, and at a great price. It would be difficult to find a better deal on a mini food processor than this one. I saw it at my favorite department store for just under [money] new. I think I like it better, like new, delivered to my door for just [money] including shipping. Good deal.

I Love This Little Thing
I had never really gotten on the food processor bandwagon. I had bad experiences with older, larger food processors that either liquified things I was chopping, yet still left large chunks behind. Add in the time to get the appliance out, find place on the counter, and then clean it afterwards, and I could do a faster, better job with a sharp knife.

Then I came upon this little beauty. It's small enough that I can leave it on the counter all the time. It has fewer pieces, and can be cleaned almost as fast as a cutting board and knife.

The capacity is small, but if I'm just cooking for a couple people, it's plenty big for most chores.

It works so well that I've ventured back into my appliance closet, and pulled-out the full-sized food processor for some things I wouldn't have bothered with before. In otherwords, this little device has changed the way I cook by expanding my choices of techniques to use.

I really think this little thing is an indispensible aid in the kitchen.

Nice, but loud, little food processor
I got this unit a few days ago. Overall, I'm quite happy with it. The design is top-notch and it's just the right size for one or two people. It grates and chops very well and I plan to use it regularly. It is also very easy to clean, which is a plus. I have to take one star off because it gets very loud. It's tolerable, but it makes a lot more noise than I would have expected from a small machine. Other than that it's a great unit. Recommended, if you can put up with the noise.

no more garlic fingers!
This product is great for those smallish jobs. Need minced garlic? You get it without the smell of garlic sticking to your hands. Chopped onion? No tears. This chopper is a must for those who need to save time on food prep.

The Best Little Chopper Ever
This is about the fifth (or more) mini processor I've ever had, and it's the greatest! After I got this baby and tried it out, I took my old big Cuisinart (circa late '70's) off the counter and moved it to the back of a cabinet. Prior to this one I had been using the Cuisinart Mini Prep for about the last eight years and it was adequate. But when I tested the new Mini Prep Plus on fresh parsley, it chopped it as fine as the big one did. The same for onions which came out finely minced instead of pureed. The difference, I realized, is the chopping blade -- it's almost the same one as on the big models. It's no noisier than any other appliance and cleaning it is a snap.

longtime companion
My mini-prep finally gave out on me after about 10 years of loyal service. My kitchen is tiny, with very little counter space and even less storage, so a full-size food processor was out of the question. But this little guy was wonderful--I really miss it now that it's gone. My only complaint is that if you're blending a liquid you have to be careful not to fill the container too much or else it will leak out of the top. If I don't get a replacement for Christmas I'm definitely going to go out and buy one!

VERY POWERFUL AND EASY TO CLEAN
I highly recommend the Cuisinart Mini-Prep. I've had one for 6 years and it is still running beautifully. For such a small unit it has a surprisingly powerful motor. It can chop or puree vegies, fruits, - even cooked beef, chicken, and fish. When I first bought it I used it mainly for chopping onions, garlic, herbs, etc., but then I began to discover the possibilities. Ofcourse, the portions you are able to prepare are small, but if you're alone or have a very small family, it's a great little machine. Also a breeze to clean (not like the large Cuisinart units). Only negative is that it is rather noisy, however, for this price it is a terrific value. I must add that I bought two other mini processors prior to this one (both by Black & Decker) and was thoroughly dissatisfied with them. The motors were not powerful at all and the blades were in a different position than Cuisinart Mini-Prep. They could not chop more than 1/4 to 1/2 cup of food at a time or it would not run. Neither unit would puree anything, only coarse chopping was possible. If you're looking for a good mini processor the Cuisinart Mini-Prep is it!

I don't know how I lived without it.
An excellent little workhorse. I am cooking for two, and it handles all my small needs quickly and efficiently: garlic mincing, parmesan grating, herb chopping, pesto making, and more. It speeds up my prep time considerably and takes a lot of the hassle out of using small amounts of various items. I couldn't be happier with it.
