Not very good
The thing looks great and it is big, but size is not everything :-) The unit does not remove all the juice from my produce and it sprays when you first place items in it. I would not buy this unit if I were you.

Inferior construction
This is a follow up to my review of March 11. This morning the base that holds the stainless steel cup (which receives the juice) broke. I can no longer use this equipment. Back to Basics should be ashamed! If I could rate it ZERO stars I would.

Save your money for something better
The advertising on this product claims that that there is a suction base so that the press won't move on your counter when you use it. The truth is that there are only small rubber feet (four of them) and they are NOT suction. And the base is uneven. It rocks. Cheap construction. Spend a little more on something like an Orange-X press.

Too labor intensive for the price
I chose this model because it looked beautiful but it's not worth the price for the amount of work it takes to get one glass of orange juice. I had to press an awful amount and my arm started to hurt from all the pressing. If you have a lot of kitchen space and are going to use it once in a blue moon and want to impress guests, then it's fine because it really looks great on the counter. However, I'm going to return mine and spend 3 times as much for a machine operated juicer that won't break my arm or take so long.

ouch!
After scouring local stores in search of the perfect juicer, I decided that the Orange-X products were the best design. However, I wanted the chrome finish that was only available on the Xpress Citrus Juicer, and not available on the Orange-X household cast iron model that I'd found so appealing and available in the local stores. I purchased the Xpress Citrus Juicer from an online retailer and it arrived today. This juicer is stylish, and I had high hopes for it, but I want to use it as a doorstop now. I put in my first orange and discovered that you almost need two hands to extract juice from this machine. The pointy handle dug into my palm as I applied more pressure and left a mark. I switched to smaller oranges without much better results. My simple glass twist style juicer was more efficent and cost a fraction of my new Xpress Citrus Juicer.

Beautiful, breakable
Okay, this is probably the coolest looking juice press, at a reasonable price, out there. We were excited and pleased with the juicer, but had to return it when it developed cracks in the pressing mechanism. I would recommend getting the cast-iron Ojex model rather than this beautiful chrome plated zinc alloy, which breaks!
Two other smaller problems:
1. While the lower cup that holds the orange half is removable, the upper section is not, making for awkward cleanup.
2. The lever isn't stable in the up/open position, allowing it to sometimes close unexpectedly and possibly causing injury when cleaning, juicing.

MOJO juicer, works well for a week then breaks and breaks
I looked around and felt this juicer was the best on the market. But... I missed the above review. Mine too broke where the weld holds the upper cone in place. Wrote to MOJO and they replied that the MOJO was no longer in production but would replace it with another model if I would send the broken MOJO to them. Postage would have been $15.00!! The model they wanted to replace my MOJO with also had bad reviews. Heck, for the price of postage I had the upper cone rewelded stronger than the original! Also, sent Metrokane a copy of the welding bill. Worked well for a week then the cast arms of the press mechanism broke in two places!! Correspondence from Metrokane and their lifetime guaranted product has been slow.

I owned 3, all of them broke, no product support
I have had three of these exact juicers, all ordered from Amazon. They all broke in the exact same spot, usually within 30 days. The weld that holds the upper cup in place broke all three times. I sent a letter and an email to Metro King (manufacturer) and received no reply . I still have one broken juicer that I am sending back to Amazon as soon as my new (NOT a Mojo Juicer this time) juicer arrives. If the part didn't break, it's a great juicer. That's why I kept replacing it. But no more. I'm done with it.

A real disappointment
I got this product for Christmas; it is either defective or of very poorly quality. It worked fine juicing the first 3-4 oranges, but after that, the motor couldn't seem to cope with any sort of actual pressure--it seemed like it just wasn't powerful enough. The "two-way rotation" feature is a total crock as well...

Poor quality
Beware this juicer. When I received mine the motor worked for about 30 seconds, and then ... nothing. When I looked into having it repaired, the nearest service facility was about 45 minutes from where I live. I ended up returning it to Amazon (not a hassle, they even link you to a UPS pre-paid return label), but I wasn't credited until Amazon had it for a week. By that time, my credit card bill had come due so I had to pay for it, although I now have a negative balance.

Once again, beware ...

Functions poorly, looks goofy
I bought this because we had just moved to citrus country (Fillmore, CA), and had lots and lots of free oranges, lemons and grapefruit to juice. I though it looked kind of cool, however when it arrived my wife informed me it was ugly. Oh well, I thought, we'll keep it out of sight but it should crank through the fruit! NOT!

Within the first couple of weeks one of the welds broke and I had to send it back into the manufacturer. They replaced the part (a spout), but it's clear that the design is weak at this point and likely to break again. The reamer empties into a steel cup with two small tubes, to which the "penguin arms" attach. The act of attaching and removing the arms stresses the weld point where the tubes meet the cups. Additionally, the tubes are about the exact size of an orange seed, so it's common for them to clog up. Finally, it seems to overheat and quit for a few minutes after only a half-dozen fruit, then it has to sit for a while before we can use it again.

Bummer.

    horrible quality
I bought the L'Equip juicer because they are known for the quality. I was willing to spend more because they supposedly had this great Warranty. After just 3 uses, the housing cracked on my machine. I called the company and told them of the situation. They told me to ship it to them. I came to find that the warranty does not cover cracked parts. I now have a $200 juicer that can not be used with a worthless warranty.
Look to other names willing to stand behind there products

Serious design fault - otherwise great juicer
Unfortunately the L'Equip Visor has a serious design fault

The juicer comes with an array of attachments, and it can use carrots, greens even apples and pineapples fine (despite some reviews stating otherwise - the reviewer obviously hadnt used the correct attachment!).

However, I feel I must add that I HAVE had some significant problems with the juicer. And this results in much more than not juicing properly.

There is a serious design fault of the plastic feeding chamber, that results in it cracking (at the point where the fruit feeds into the auger screw and along) if too much pressure is put on it. This pressure need not be more than a slice of carrot or two, or one or two nuts. I have had one replacement already, with only using the juicer for 2 months (the supplier admitted there is a design fault, as many others have also had this problem, and promtply sent out a replacement part).

Is a great shame for an otherwise fantastic juicer with so much potential; however, for this reason alone, I recommend anyone who is considering a juicer, to look at alternative models.

    Rock and roll base
Non-tip base? The truth is the base is uneven and rocks back and forth. Very cheap construction. The suction base that Back to Basics touts is non-existant. Only part of that description is a fact: it "sucs"
