In praise of Le Creuset
About six years ago I started using Le Creuset and have a number of pieces. All the pieces demonstrate even heat distribution across the base.

The French Oven's good for cooking pasta - you can get plenty water in it, and it's also efficient (washing up wise) to start a casserole on the cooktop which then can be transferred to the oven. Be careful in this case, though, not to have the heat too high on the cooktop and keep the casserole moving - it can dry out on the bottom. The skillet is very useful for starting dishes on the cooktop then finishing them off under the grill for browning. I don't use the skillet for general frying, I prefer a non-stick base.

I only give four stars because the cookware is quite heavy, but then that's probably why the heat distribution is so good.

A Perfect Pot
I got this pot for christmas and it has quickly become my favorite. The white interior lets you see the color of the food as it cooks (much nicer than my black calphalon), has a large capacity but with low sides for easy stirring, and browns meats beautifully. Most impressively, it is unbelievably EASY to clean. Food dosen't adhere to the enamel. I clean it with a sponge without soaking or scrubbing. I find my calpalon and all-clad much harder to clean so I find myself reaching for this pot every time.

Great for slow cooking
If you like cooking foods that take a few hours to develop their flavors, this French oven is the pot for you. I use mine for red beans and rice, chili, black beans... in fact, pretty much anything involving dried beans. It heats very evenly and food doesn't stick. I absolutely love mine. It's more than ten years old and I use it frequently, but it still looks great because it cleans up so easily.

almost as good as they claim...
A nesco is a very good second oven. It is also very good for cooking your dinner outside (if you have an outlet) on a patio on a hot summer day. I did find mine easy to clean on the non-stick interior...a bit less so on the outside but still very cleanable. The issue I have is that is isnt really an excellent unit for crockpot cooking which is what i primarily wanted it for. It cooks a bit different, the timing is a bit different and the crockpot recipes dont exactly transfer. It took me a while to figure that out. You *can* use it as a crockpot but if you are buying it to use it primarily for that I would choose a crockpot instead. That said, it bakes, roasts very well. and keeps things warm (like pots of chile or soup etc) for a party excellently.

Best turkey ever
I bought a turkey thanksging 2003 and used my new 18 quart Nesco . My husband and I are not turkey lovers. My nesco roaster made my 17cents a pound turkey tender, moist, and flavorful with just paprika, salt, pepper, 1 cup oil and butter, and chopped onion, carrots, celery. Yum-Yum-yum. Iused the nesco 6 quart roaster to make soup, cooking slowly all night the bones and previously cooked chopped vegetables adding rest next day etc. I am a caretaker of 95 year old alzheimer patient with no teeth. She ate turkey without chopping it, because it was so tender and moist.
Sincerely, 65 year old fan of Nesco roasters.

Nesco Roasters are all that they claim.
I have two Nesco Roasters, a 6-qt and a 12 qt. They can be used to roast a turkey or pork loin (or any other type of roast), as a great slow cooker for soups and stews, as well as chili, etc. I use these for all my picnics and holiday events. They are a great "second" oven when you are planning a holiday meal or party.

Great product once "seasoned"
I've only used my roaster once, but the chicken I made in it came out excellent! When I think roasted chicken I think of it dry but this was SO juicy and good. I have yet to try other recipes in it, but so far it's great just for roasting.

The only issue I had with it was "seasoning" it. You have to plug it in and let it heat up for about an hour. Try 3... and in a VERY ventilated garage because the smell that came from this device was horrible! I was told that's normal and that it goes away, which it did. It's just not something you want to do in a smaller, non ventilated area.

I gave it 4 stars simply because of the "seasoning" process. But otherwise, it's a great product and I look forward to using it a lot more.

NESCO - The First Name in Quality Kitchen Appliances!!
NESCO products have been heavily marketed on the shopping channel, QVC. I bought my first NESCO roaster, a 4-quart model, over 10 years ago. I have since given that one away but now own a 5, 6, 12, and 18-quart roaster oven. I have given them as gifts and every person receiving a roaster has absolutely loved it.

The 6-quart model is NESCO's most popular sized roaster oven. You can easily prepare a meal for a family of four. But what sets it apart is its versatility. You can cook from 150 to 400 degrees which separates it from a traditional slow cooker. You can bake, steam, poach, roast and slow cook. The heating element, known as the 'Circle of Heat' extends around the sides of the unit so there will be no burnt food at the bottom of the roaster.

What can you cook in it? The real answer is: What can't you cook in it? You are only limited by the size of the unit. For meats such as pork, poultry and beef, you will be rewarded with the most moist servings that you have ever experienced. Soups, stews and casseroles turn out wonderfully in the NESCO. One of my favorite dishes is Swiss steak as the NESCO tenderizes lean cuts of beef such as round steak and the 'circle of heat' blends the flavors perfectly.

NESCO also offers several accessories on their nesco.com website. I purchased a lid with a fan and that converts your unit into a convection cooker. There is also an expanded cookbook for the unit and a cookbook that discusses how to use the 6-quart as a convection oven (you'll need the Roast-Aire lid).

In summary, this is one of those appliances that I consider to be a 'Must Buy'. It is a mini oven and for busy families or just busy people. You will wonder how you ever got along without it!!!

Convenient healthy meals that even I can cook
This is a convenient, inexpensive, high quality, easy to clean up cooking unit with a great instruction and recipe book included. More recipes are on the NESCO website as well.

I do not know how to cook. If it weren't for my wife, I would have starved by now. When my son was small, and my wife was sick, he would beg her to get better so he wouldn't have to eat my cooking, which he likened to rubber chicken.

But a few years ago, my wife's aunt gave us a 6 Quart NESCO COOKWELL roaster and voila! I can cook meals that even my son would enjoy.

This is probably the gift for anyone living on their own for the first time, like a college student, since it is extremely easy to prepare and cook healthful, delicious meals EVERY TIME.

If you follow instructions in the enclosed recipe booklet, you can't make a bad meal! My favorite is the lemon pepper chicken with linguine.

The best part is that the COOKWELL roaster pan insert is removable, is used to serve the food and cleans up really easily. The electrical heating part never sees soap and water, since it only serves to surround the cookwell roasting pan insert with a "circle of heat".

This is not a crock pot, although you can set it up as such. Cooking times are usually 45 minutes to an hour and around 350 degrees.

EVERY student going away to college should have one of these. They are easily stored, cleaned and provide inexpensive and healthy meals. And even a lousy cook like myself becomes a gormet chef. You can use the recipes and instructions provided in the booklet that comes with the cookwell or if you are more experienced, like my wife, anything is possible. THIS IS A WINNER!

Great Little Microwave
When we moved to a microwaveless house, this was the microwave that caught our eye over all the others in the showroom. Its design is nice and clean, not bulky and ugly. It held a surprisingly large amount of food for so small an oven. Cooking is even, and the rare clean up wipes up easily. Never had a repair needed, never had a bulb or anything burn out. And our popcorn never burnt, either! It did an impressive job... my only regret is that my ex-husband helped himself to it when we got divorced, when it was supposed to go to me!

Great Microwave
The other reviewer mentioned things getting hot, and it obviously does, however it is much faster than most other microwaves of similar size and power. Maybe it is the "inverter technology" or the way the waves are generated but it is much quicker than others. Also clear easy to use quick start panel and larger print on the buttons and panels than many others. Great all purpose size, I generally use it for tv dinners and reheats. Plus you get this brands reliability.

Sure does get things Hot!
But that might just be because I'm not used to it. It heated up my morning cup of coffee to Lava-Like temperature in only a minute and a half. The Reheat feature lets you just enter the nmber of servings you put in and it heats them right up. I can't get OVERLY excited, because it is just a Microwave, but it sure does get stuff hot.

okay performance, but too big and too industrial in looks
I have only had this microwave for one day. So far, it performs some duties well. It heats up water, warms up food. However, it just makes my kitchen look like a machine shop. It is so darn huge. Why does it have to be so darn big? It takes up the entire depth of my counter. Our old one was only 12 inches deep, I made the mistake of letting my husband pick one. Who knew that microwaves were built this huge. I like the performance so far. I just wish that it did not ruin the charm of my kitchen. I still am not talking to my husband because he refuses to return this microwave, he wants to remodel based on this microwave. If you ever decide to get this model, make sure that it fits your kitchen style. Kitchens do not come cheap nowadays.

Panasonic NN-T783SF
I shopped around for a stainless steel mid size microwave and this model has the most features, at the best price, of any I found. It looks great and runs quietly. It has many features I will probably never use but I have already made extensive use of the sensor control heating and I am really pleased with the results.

Great Microwave
The controls function in a logical fashion and this thing has gobs o' power.

Pros - power, controls, flexibility and true power adjustment.

Cons - none

Panasonic microwave
Order was delivered as promised. This item is great- looks and cooks like a more costly microwave.

Love This Microwave
Much nicer than the Kenmore I had before of same size. Popcorn comes out great and does not burn. It heats well, no cold spots.

Too small for me
It is always difficult to get a feel for the size of a thing when looking at a picture, even when they give you the measurements. Well, this baby turned out to be tiny! This set must have been designed for the smallest toaster oven ever made. I'd be afraid of roasting/broiling any type of meat in an oven this small for fear of a grease fire. It would probably be fine for rolls or fish, but nothing with any amount of fat. My toaster oven is much larger and this set is just too small to make it worth plugging it in.

Very convenient set.
great little pan and rack which only uses a bit over half the space in my toaster oven. Like it for applications such as: cooking sausage links on pan and rack, but also having room to do hash-brown patties in remaining oven space; or, doing hamburger on the pan and rack, warming frozen french frys on another tray all at once.

all-purpose toaster oven pan
I use the bottom pan in my toaster oven all the time--baking a few cookies, reheating pizza, anything that requires a nonstick surface. I use the nonstick rack for cooling cookies or a loaf of bread from the breadmaker. I don't really use it to broil meat because my toaster oven doesn't get hot enough, and I probably wouldn't use this pan in a conventional broiler. But it's great for everything else, and much better than the flimsy pan my toaster oven originally came with.

The handles make it not a Classic
I love my Anolon Classic cookware and have accumulated about 30 pieces including 4 qt. and 10 qt. Dutch ovens. I prefer the Classic series because of the material used for the handles. This item has metal handles like the Professional cookware although the pictures on the side of the box show the Classic resin handles. I haven't used this and might send it back. I would for sure if I could exchange it for the 5.5 qt. 'true' Classic at a comparable price but for some unknown reason it costs three times as much.

GREAT
All i have to say is, this pot is GREAT!

An Apartment Dwelling Cook's Viewpoint
This is one of the best Dutch Ovens I have owned. For couples or small families it is the perfect size. I like it best because it can go from stovetop to oven (over 350 degrees). This pan make roasting meats fun again, You can brown it on the stove top and then go right to the oven. It is deep enough that you can leave the lip off and not splatter up the oven to much. It is overall a very versital pan. It does fit the professional series better than the classic, but the price was definitely classic.

Nice Product
This is a nice, quality product. I really like the long ties and large front pocket.

Nice apron
I've been looking for a nice apron that wasn't too expensive, and this is as close as I could find. This apron is really roomy - I'm a little chunky and I can still wrap the ties around my back and tie in front.

The only thing that I don't like is the care instructions. The apron has to be washed in cold water and you can't use fabric softener or softener sheets. I guess the absorbancy of the fabric would be compromised as would the stain resistance.

Very handy and sturdy!
Everyone needs a good apron. It is so frustrating to be preparing a meal for guests and the last minute prepartions splatter on your clothes and make you look like a slob to your guests. Just slip this apron on before going into the kitchen and you are protected against those splashes and splatters that will inevitably happen! And easy to clean too!

Good for $90
it is good for 90 dollars but dont expect too much from it's sensor tech. i just dont use that sensor coz it usually burns food.

but for 90 dollar it is bargin

A very solid choice for most people.
I've had this product for one year now and I have been pleased with most of its features. It is powerful and heats items quickly. It has some very useful programmed buttons - I find the defrosting options especially helpful and very effective. It has all of the standard convenience features like one-touch "minute" heating, etc. I also think it is attractive and modern but that is subjective of course.

There are some things that could be improved...

The sensor reheat option is supposed to automatically heat items until they are, well, "done" I guess. But many times it overheats them (probably because it is basing its judgement on the amount of steam coming off the item). But if you don't mind waiting for you food to cool, it is nice to have a one-touch feature that allows you to heat foods (even frozen entrees) without reading the package. I should also note that it makes excellent one-touch popcorn which helps to offset the above problem.

The other issues I've had are with the electronic display. It has nice, easy to follow prompts but occasionally I have to wait while it "scrolls" a message prompt that seems needlessly long.

The reason I can't give this product 5 stars (indeed, struggled with maybe giving it only 3) is because the display started having lines of missing pixels after numerous power outages. Fortunately, I returned it to Best Buy and it was fixed and ready for pickup within a few weeks. They said they replaced the part - not sure if manufacturer did it or Best Buy - but I had only the manufacturer's parts warranty that came in the box. Anyway, if your home is not prone to frequent power outages or dimmings this will not likely be a problem for you.

I should also note that the handle looks metallic but it is actually painted plastic that was wearing off on the store model and starting to look ugly in the store. However, after a year of regular use at my home, mine shows no signs of this.

Awesome bang for the buck
I've had this microwave sitting on my kitchen counter for about 6 months now and I absolutely love it! It has sensor reheat so throw your leftovers in and touch the button....microwave shuts off when the food gets hot. I have two TWEENAGERS that use it for everything. It fits nicely on the counter and doesn't take up too much space. I bought mine when they cost about 50 bucks more....and I am still not complaining. This is a great microwave.
