1 Star For The Product and 0 For Amazon's ServiceI have had several years of rather active business with Amazon, at home and for my company, I am now questioning that relationship.
This would never have happened in a bricks & mortar world.
This is one great microwaveAfter using this oven a few times I quickly realized that I would need to reduce the cooking times that I was used to by about 30%. This oven also defrosts extremely fast with none of the cycling on and off.
Another great feature of this oven is the noise level-or lack of noise. It is very quiet and I often have to look at it to realize that it is running.
I would recommend this oven to anyone.

Misadvertised--small capacity and doesn't fit wellAlso, the buffet frame was built to fit Rival's 16-quart roaster and wobbles around inside their 18-quart roaster, even though the product info says it "fits most 18-quart and 20-quart roaster ovens." The Rival rep said this wording is meant to convey the fact that it will fit Rival's models of that size, and probably some other brands, too. If you don't mind it wobbling around, I guess it "fits."
I would love to have the deep pan sizes that Rival mis-advertises. If the real pans weren't made so shallow (probably to fit the smaller 16-quart model), the sizes they advertise might be possible. When someone buys an 18- or 20-quart roaster to accommodate guests, they will not be able to feed all their guests with 1-quart pans for side dishes.
In the future, Rival should make a buffet server to fit each of their roasters (length, width and height), rather than advertise that one size will fit all, and hope nobody minds the wobbly frame and smaller pans.
If some other manufacturer comes up with a buffet to fit the 18-quart Rival roaster, I will buy it. It's a great roaster!

Nice, but heavy & fragile. There are better choices.Positives:
1. The pot heats fairly evenly but has some cools spots. Still, it heats better than most other pots.
2. Goes from oven or burner to table very nicely.
3. Nice looking
Negatives:
1. Very heavy compared to All Clad or Calphalon.
2. Has some "cool" spots.
3. Very fragile. Our Le Creuset French Oven slipped off our drying rack, fell to the floor, and cracked, rendering it useless. Movers dropped a similar Calphalon pot, it sustained a nick but was still perfect for cooking.
3. Poor customer service. We paid to ship our broken pot to Le Creuset for Warranty Service. Le Creuset offered only to sell us a new pot at half price. The "half price" turned out to be about the same as Amazon charges for the pot. Le Creuset's position was our pot was broken, accidently, because of our own negligence. So much for the warranty.
I believe that a three foot fall to the floor should not destroy a $160.00 pot. Indeed, a fall from a greater distance did not destroy our similar Calphalon pot.
My wife and I decided to buy the All Clad Stainless set that comes with the 8 qt stock pot, rather than to replace our Le Creuset with another Le Creuset. We are very pleased with our decision. All Clad Stainless cookware has superior cooking qualities as compared to Le Creuset or Calphalon.

Great , but not great foreverThis nicely heavy pot, along with the others in the Le Creuset line, is beautiful and functional. It is also quite expensive. The enameled interior of the pot is more delicate than you might think. You must cool the pot down before plunging it in cold water (if a little something is burned onto the bottom and you want to let it soak) or washing it (when you're in a hurry.) Kitchen physics; the time it takes the cast iron to cool is unequal to the time it takes the enamel to cool, and "crazing" of the interior enamel will result. If you really have food that is at all stuck to the bottom, the washing-up process is dicey, since the enamel will scratch easily. The bottom line is that after a number of years, the costly but wonderful pot that seemed like a good investment is not something you want to cook with any longer. Other brands of European enamel-lined cast iron are subject to the same problems.
But it's beautiful to look at, the colors are terrific, and it is a great thing while it lasts.

It was good while it lasted
however, for the next 4 hours, i basically sat there, trying to make the thing work. followed all instructions, whenever it went to the step to press "start" button, it stopped.
for a while, i doubted i was just too stupid to use a simple thing like this, or there might be some hidden function buttons i have never seen. so i followed up with 2 phonecalls to 1-800-211-7262. now keep in mind, for the first phone call, i waited a good 50m, that's right, 50m! and there's no answer, the line finally went dead. i had to call them for the 2nd time. this time it's "faster": waited 35m!
a customer representive guided me through some steps, same as shown on the menu: not surprisingly, it won't turn on. the guy was not apologetic; i was simply told to take the microwave to a local store so it can be "repaired". panasonic doesn't offer service-to-door.
this is rediculous: a "brand-new" microwave, not refurbished, just arrived for couple hours, need to go back to repair-shop. what kind of freaking junk is this?
i sent it back to amazon. you might get lucky than me, yet for me, i will NEVER buy another panasonic product.
