IT IS JUNK
Order placed on 9/4, received on 10/2. i was quite excited to open the box since the price/function seems good.

however, for the next 4 hours, i basically sat there, trying to make the thing work. followed all instructions, whenever it went to the step to press "start" button, it stopped.

for a while, i doubted i was just too stupid to use a simple thing like this, or there might be some hidden function buttons i have never seen. so i followed up with 2 phonecalls to 1-800-211-7262. now keep in mind, for the first phone call, i waited a good 50m, that's right, 50m! and there's no answer, the line finally went dead. i had to call them for the 2nd time. this time it's "faster": waited 35m!

a customer representive guided me through some steps, same as shown on the menu: not surprisingly, it won't turn on. the guy was not apologetic; i was simply told to take the microwave to a local store so it can be "repaired". panasonic doesn't offer service-to-door.

this is rediculous: a "brand-new" microwave, not refurbished, just arrived for couple hours, need to go back to repair-shop. what kind of freaking junk is this?

i sent it back to amazon. you might get lucky than me, yet for me, i will NEVER buy another panasonic product.

Great value. Good looks.
Very good looking, black compact microwave. All the basic features, and easy to use. Nice price. The reviewer who called it "junk" is way off base. Maybe he works for Sharp?

Works well!
This is a great microwave. The look of this microwave is fantastic. Rarely do you find a black microwave with all of these features for this good of a price. I am very happy with it and would recommend it to others.

defective upon arrival
I ordered this microwave for my Father's bithday. It was shipped 3 times and there was damage on all 3 microwaves. I don't know if it was shipped damaged or defective design. It was a horrible experience. I would never buy panasonic microwaves again

somewhat disappointed
My new oven failed after fewer than ninety days of use. Panasonic, though, went to some trouble to honor the warranty. I just got it back from the service center, and it works again. It is still true that "sensor reheat" overheats leftovers and the popcorn key undercooks the popcorn, but I can cope with that.

Quietest Microwave Ever
I had been waiting for my loud Sharp microwave to bite the dust. It started out by blowing the fuse. I replaced the fuse a couple of times until that no longer helped. Was I glad! It was the loudest microwave I've ever owned. It made a loud deafening druming noise. I had remembered my parents owning a Panasonic that is still going strong. So I went after one. This microwave is so quiet you can't hardly hear it run. It's powerful and will take a little bit of getting use to, but I wouldn't trade it for a dozen Sharps. Keep up the good work Panasonic.

Received this item for Christmas
The coffee pot leaks when pouring. The filter part is very poorly designed, you have to be sure to "lock" it into place or the coffee will run out the sides. The top is flimsy. I like the warming trays but, i wish the tray could be moved up or down.

Great Home Office Spacesaver!
We bought one of these 5 months ago and love all we can do with it! It is small, but it heats single servings, grills sandwiches, and will do both at once. We keep it in our home office for snacks and for warm-ups--compact and efficient for those things. The only flaw is that the coffee pot drips almost as much as it pours.

1 Star For The Product and 0 For Amazon's Service
I had the unfortunate experience of giving this microwave to my in-laws as a present. It was defective. Following Amazon's instructions, I faithfully returned the product only to find that Amazon would give me only a partial credit. After a number of obviously computer generated responses from Amazon's customer "service" department, I have yet to receive any possible explanaion why the return was "my fault".

I have had several years of rather active business with Amazon, at home and for my company, I am now questioning that relationship.

This would never have happened in a bricks & mortar world.

This is one great microwave
We replaced a 16 year old Sharp oven with this one and I am very pleased with the operation of this oven. The controls are well laid out, and the oven is powerful and fast.

After using this oven a few times I quickly realized that I would need to reduce the cooking times that I was used to by about 30%. This oven also defrosts extremely fast with none of the cycling on and off.

Another great feature of this oven is the noise level-or lack of noise. It is very quiet and I often have to look at it to realize that it is running.

I would recommend this oven to anyone.

Misadvertised--small capacity and doesn't fit well
I love the 18-quart Rival roaster but am sorely disappointed in their buffet server. Both configurations (BR-200 and BR-300, which is the one I purchased) are advertised on the Rival website as having two 2-quart pans and one 4-quart pan. In reality, they both are only HALF that size (two 1-quart pans and one 2-quart pan). When I called the company, a rep said that was an error on their website, but he didn't seem concerned about correcting it, or the fact that everyone else who sells it has picked up that same incorrect size info.
Also, the buffet frame was built to fit Rival's 16-quart roaster and wobbles around inside their 18-quart roaster, even though the product info says it "fits most 18-quart and 20-quart roaster ovens." The Rival rep said this wording is meant to convey the fact that it will fit Rival's models of that size, and probably some other brands, too. If you don't mind it wobbling around, I guess it "fits."
I would love to have the deep pan sizes that Rival mis-advertises. If the real pans weren't made so shallow (probably to fit the smaller 16-quart model), the sizes they advertise might be possible. When someone buys an 18- or 20-quart roaster to accommodate guests, they will not be able to feed all their guests with 1-quart pans for side dishes.
In the future, Rival should make a buffet server to fit each of their roasters (length, width and height), rather than advertise that one size will fit all, and hope nobody minds the wobbly frame and smaller pans.
If some other manufacturer comes up with a buffet to fit the 18-quart Rival roaster, I will buy it. It's a great roaster!

What every household needs!
The Buffet Server is easy to use and it is beneficial all year long. Wether you are having hosting a dinner party for 25 or just 7. It's compact, but yet fits a good amount of food. Keeps everything warm for your company. YOu can use it for picnics or an elegant dinner party.

Nonstick Coating Flaking Off
I REALLY loved this when I first got it, so I was supremely disappointed when the nonstick coating began flaking off, essentially rendering it unusable. I may have gotten a bad batch or something. The product has a lifetime warantee and I do intend to send it back in, but wanted to let folks know about my experience.

Very good buy!
I purchased this baking pan approximately 5 years ago and it is still as good as the day it arrived. Nice solid piece, very good price. Definately worth the money. Cleaning advice, keep it out of the dishwasher and it keeps the non-stick surface from flaking and/or peeling.

Why is this All-Clad "French Oven"?
Because I am an All-Clad fan, and I own and use more All-Clad pieces than I really can afford, I feel like a traitor as I begin to write this. I wish I could return-for-refund my copy of this very pricey All-Clad "French Oven" (not purchased from amazon.com). For my needs, my two Le Creuset oval ovens and one Le Creuset round "buffet casserole" do the (French / Dutch) "oven" thing better, cheaper, and more beautifully. Cast iron, although not as physically tough as stainless steel, really does hold the heat much better, plus it works with induction, just in case you have induction (I do not) and you need to use the "oven" on the stove-top; this All-Clad oven bottom is non-magnetic. Le Creuset uses cast iron for the cover as well as for the bottom, unlike this All-Clad piece, which has the plain stainless steel (non-clad) cover, which I think compromises the "oven" concept of all-encompassing uniform heat. My All-Clad oven's wire rack (a plus over Le Creuset, which has none) is totally flat, and it hugs the rounded contours so snugly that the little bent-wire legs do not even touch the bottom of the pan, so the rack is not totally stable. A bed of mirepoix or potatos or such vegetables would perform better than this rack unless you are going for enclosed dry roasting of poultry, which really needs a non-flat rack, one that can hold the bird in the desired position. This oven's bottom pan is too deep to double as a roasting pan unless you can find a V-rack that will properly fit this pan. Also without its cover, the pan likely could be used for baking lasagna, but I think that the top of the food would be too far below the top of the pan for proper browning. Now, it is just barely possible that I somehow am not getting the point of this All-Clad "French Oven". (I understand All-Clad's attractive "Dutch Oven" OK, but cast iron really is the more appropriate material for the task.) In any case, I am hoping that someone from All-Clad will read this, take pity on me, and wave their magic wand, absolving me of my treachery, and take back their piece so that I then can put that money into other All-Clad items that I (really, truly do) need.

Nice, but heavy & fragile. There are better choices.
My wife and I received this pot as a gift.

Positives:
1. The pot heats fairly evenly but has some cools spots. Still, it heats better than most other pots.
2. Goes from oven or burner to table very nicely.
3. Nice looking

Negatives:
1. Very heavy compared to All Clad or Calphalon.
2. Has some "cool" spots.
3. Very fragile. Our Le Creuset French Oven slipped off our drying rack, fell to the floor, and cracked, rendering it useless. Movers dropped a similar Calphalon pot, it sustained a nick but was still perfect for cooking.
3. Poor customer service. We paid to ship our broken pot to Le Creuset for Warranty Service. Le Creuset offered only to sell us a new pot at half price. The "half price" turned out to be about the same as Amazon charges for the pot. Le Creuset's position was our pot was broken, accidently, because of our own negligence. So much for the warranty.

I believe that a three foot fall to the floor should not destroy a $160.00 pot. Indeed, a fall from a greater distance did not destroy our similar Calphalon pot.

My wife and I decided to buy the All Clad Stainless set that comes with the 8 qt stock pot, rather than to replace our Le Creuset with another Le Creuset. We are very pleased with our decision. All Clad Stainless cookware has superior cooking qualities as compared to Le Creuset or Calphalon.

Great , but not great forever
With all due respect to Amazon's editorial reviewer, I'd have to dispute the assertion that it is lugging heavy pots that has kept French women in such good shape. I'd also be nervous about running Le Creuset pots through the dishwasher, since I would think that dishwashing detergent would dull the interior (and probably the exterior) finish.

This nicely heavy pot, along with the others in the Le Creuset line, is beautiful and functional. It is also quite expensive. The enameled interior of the pot is more delicate than you might think. You must cool the pot down before plunging it in cold water (if a little something is burned onto the bottom and you want to let it soak) or washing it (when you're in a hurry.) Kitchen physics; the time it takes the cast iron to cool is unequal to the time it takes the enamel to cool, and "crazing" of the interior enamel will result. If you really have food that is at all stuck to the bottom, the washing-up process is dicey, since the enamel will scratch easily. The bottom line is that after a number of years, the costly but wonderful pot that seemed like a good investment is not something you want to cook with any longer. Other brands of European enamel-lined cast iron are subject to the same problems.

But it's beautiful to look at, the colors are terrific, and it is a great thing while it lasts.

It was good while it lasted
The microwave did very well for the year and a half we had it before it broke. For some reason, I think the circulating dish broke or something. It still turn, but there was a lound popping and cracking noise. Like something broke off and got stuck in side. As for the machine itself, it defrosted and cooked well. Noise level is a little loud, but not too noticebly. As for buying this again, I'm not very sure I would because I don't want to have to buy another microwave again. But I might try another Panasonic brand.
