A LEMON
It did not work when I opened the box. I first tried to use it 33 days after receiving it and therefore could not return it. After 2 weeks at a factory repair facility I picked it up and it worked for 30 seconds. Sanyo is not user friendly about finding repair centers (phone list is out of date).

***SAVE YOUR MONEY***
While I *had* planned on writing out every defect that this microwave has, I decided against doing so due to the fact that this review would have ended up the same length as "War & Peace."

I only use my microwave to heat water, to defrost food, and to sometimes cook a baked potato, yet this microwave has difficulty even doing *those* things well.

**DON'T** buy this microwave, unless you enjoy having to deal with things like an impossibly small door opening that makes you spill hot water all over your fingers just trying to remove a cup of tea from it, or diddling with buttons that are incredibly small, and irritating to use. Neither of those defects were "required" in order to keep its small size (i.e., the space inside is much *larger* than the door, and is not utilized but instead restricted by the inane metal plate surrounding the opening, and the buttons are only active for input on a teeny tiny area of the actual buttons themselves.)

While I bought this microwave only eight months ago, I'm going to purchase a new one next month (even though I can't afford it), because I'm just so SICK of hassling with *this* one.

Disappointing - two times over
I do not recommend this product at all. The first one shipped to me arrived damaged; it had a dent on the top. The replacement that ...sent was worse; it didn't work. When I called the Sanyo company, they confirmed for me that it was defective. Don't waste your time ordering this product.

Really junk. Don't waste your money
Received this oven as a wedding present. Worked OK for about one week then decided to not heat up enough to make toast on the highest setting. It will take you three cycles for one slice. The door DOES NOT stay down (you will burn your hand every time)and the final straw - the knob just broke off for the broiler and cannot be fixed - to the junk heap. Thanks BD.

Piece-O-Junk
This Toaster oven is really a piece of junk. I have had earlier versions of the Toast-R-Oven for years and years. This one feels cheap. Not only that, but at the highest "Top-Brown" setting, you are lucky if it just warms the bread up. We are returning it, and buying something else.

poor quality
Used this toaster very little but found on off switch inoperable. Could not get it fixed...no parts for it. Have an under counter plate so must use b& d product reluctantly. Feel this was poor quality and should not have been sold unless part could be replaced at very least.

A Piece of [junk]
The only thing worse than a toaster oven that breaks after 3 months is a toaster oven that breaks the day after exchanging for a new one. In fact, the only way this shrapnel could be worse is if they painted it flourescent-green and plastered it violently with Smurf stickers. Do not buy this man! Just run away.

On a positive note, if you do have one and your "warranty" has run out, there are some alternative uses:

- Blunt weapon
- Dollhouse
- Cat jail
- Catbox protector (The racks are practically designed for clumping cat litter).
- Hamster coffin. (This is the only model reccomended for mass burials, as it is quite spacious and can accomodate double-digits).
- Refridgerator
- Step-ladder
- Noise-maker
- Dress it up as your favorite superhero and launch it down the street while reciting aloud well-known lines from that same superhero.

That's all. Nothing good can come of this. Take care and always read the reviews FIRST!!!!

Don't bother making toast with it
This is the worst toaster oven we have ever owned. It cannot start again after making the first batch of toast due to a poorly designed toast start button. I suspect the start button is an electronic control which you have to depress just right or it refuses to start on the first batch. After you make the first batch you have to wait until the stupid thing cools down again in order to get the start button to work. Electronic start buttons - which appear on all their new models are not designed properly - the heat temperature is set too low, so even when you cool the toaster down for five minutes the start button still thinks you're trying to restart the last batch. Also the dark toaster setting is the minimum you have to set it at to get barely brown toast. Stay away from Black & Decker since their toasters share the same start button design/temperature toast control.

Nice alternative to using the oven
I've had the Dining In for well over a year, and I've been really pleased with it. I like not having to heat up my regular oven when I'm cooking something small. The "toast" setting isn't totally even on both sides; the underside gets a little browner than the top. (Don't leave the oven temp set to "broil" when toasting; the lower element doesn't heat up at all that way.) I find the baking time to be fairly accurate -- better than my regular oven, actually. I can fit a disposable 9X13 pan, a glass 8X8 pan, and various small baking sheets in here -- one at a time, of course!

The only real problem happened a few weeks ago -- the screws attaching the handle to the door had become loose, and recently they came off totally. I can open and close the door using a hot pad, but have been unable to get the screws back in yet. I'll superglue them in when I do!

Overall, I've been very satisfied with this toaster oven.

BAD BAD BAD
I also had this microwave blow completely up. I've had mine less than a year as well although I didn't purchase it from Amazon. My story is pretty much the same as the other reviewers it suddenly started losing its heating capacity and while baking a potato there was a loud pop and the thing started smoking like a chimney. Since they want to manufacture everything in China as this microwave was Panasonic only gets one shot at my business. This was their shot. Next!

Not bad, poor handle design
I just got this unit at a retail store to tide me over til I could order from Amazon. I'll be getting something else.
GOOD: Very powerful and quick, surprisingly quiet.
BAD: When you go to open the door by pulling on the handle, the whole microwave moves! I'll be replacing the unit with a Panasonic 7x3 with a push-button door release.

No problems yet
I bought this microwave about 3 days ago and I like it so far. It is much better than the previous one I had. I hope that I continue to like it as time goes by.

Not recommended
I've had this product for about a year now and I would have to say I wish I had spent my money on a tradional toaster oven instead. The toaster part cooks the toast the same no matter where I set the adjustable lever, and the top brown only part only warms/browns half of whatever I put in there. It ended up being a disappointment that sits on my counter as a daily reminder.

No door, no heat
Great idea if it had a door to keep the heat in. Don't buy this, it takes forever to heat up a simple slice of pizza.

Terrible Toaster
It toasts unevenly in the vertical or horizontal position. Forget about reheating a slice of pizza. The horizontal postion is the worst. The hot air escapes because there is no door.

Toast button doesn't work after only one year!
We bought this toaster about a year ago and suddenly the toast button stopped working. You have to hold the button down with your finger to get it to toast.

Size & Brand of toaster oven
I have been looking for a LARGE toaster oven and they are hard to find. I like the fact that this model has a timer and bell to let you know when the toast or whatever you are cooking is done. Also, the timer can remind you when you are baking, when to check on or when your dish is done. I like the Black & Decker name. This would be the second toaster oven I have owned made by B & D. I would prefer a 6-slice model but have been unable to find one reasonably priced.

BLACK & DECKER TR0400 TOASTER OVEN
This is a poorly designed, dangerous appliance. Save your money. Save your life. This machine could torch you and your home. This should not be sold. It should not be allowed on the market. The folks at Amazon.com should do their customers a favor and remove this from the rank of available items.

Do yourself a favor. Find a better performing, safer unit than this.

Works for awhile
This is the second cheap-o Black & Decker that I've owned. Both are now deceased. When you first get the beast, it's eager to burn your toast. It loves you so much that its sheer idolization makes you glad that you ever welcomed it into your home. Then, ever so slowly, it begins to fade. One day your toast will be just slightly browned on medium. Then you'll notice that the bread seems to toast only where it's closest to the heating coils. By this time, though, you've become so attached, that you're able to forgive a few such shortcomings. When your dog loses a leg, you don't just shoot it.

Unfortunately, this puppy's no dog. In three years, my dearest dream went belly up like an abused hamster. No toast. No heat. No life. I should have known. My last oven was from the same breed, but a different generation. It did the same. Maybe it's time to try a cat.

Workmanship leaves much to be desired
The first time I tried this oven the heating elements would not get hot enough so I sent it back (it cost me 14.95 to have Haier send me another one). I just tried the new one and the door does not shut properly. To make a long story short, I wish I had never ordered this brand oven.

Weber Barbecue Mitt, Red

  • Ideal for guarding against flames or intense heat

Narrow Fit
While the mitt is beautiful and the price is right, it is narrow. Most mitts flare towards the opening, this one does not. I have larger forearms and it won't fit all the way up. My husband has average sized arms and it won't go around his upper forearm either. Since they are so long they go almost to your elbow.

aggravation and frustration
Only buy this product if you want aggravation and frustration. On 3 different ones, the glass doors all came off from the frame. Although I like the way it looks, I finally gave up and bought a compact Krups model. The Krups worked fine the ist time I used it. Done't buy this DeLonghi; it's a terrible product that should not be sold. Although the company is aware of the problem with the door they continue to sell this model. DeLonghi will not admit there is a problem with this model. However, after 3 separate purchases from different stores.. the same problem existed.

Didn't even get to the point of turning it on
I was very excited to get this but when it came out of the box the door was crooked and did not close. After fixing that the door would "kind of" close... it got pretty near, but this is a real hazard. Our golden retriever thinks it is very interesting since the door falls open if he nudges it... I would not trust this around the house and after the other reviews I'm going to send it right back so I can get my refund.

Review of DeLonghi XU450 Toaster Oven
This toaster oven is quite aesthetic-it is fairly compact-its style is simple and classic. Operation of the oven is not difficult. The instructions are easy to follow. The toaster oven is versatile-it comes with muffin and cooking sheets-I might never use my regular oven again-this toaster oven is not just for toast-One thing I miss is a push button to toast bread which was on my previous toaster oven. In short, I feel this is a superior kitchen appliance and would recommend it without hesitation.
