Black & Decker Toast-R-Oven = one big burnout
Defective toaster
It took them 30 years to make a usable crumb tray.On the minus side, I can't get used to pushing a button to make toast instead of flipping a lever, but I suppose I'll get over it. This is my fifth toaster oven, and except for the inconvenient toast button and the convenient crumb tray, it isn't very different from the first one. However there is another difference. The hanging bracket that fit the last few models won't work with this one, so It has to take up counter space. That's disappointing, but not earth shattering. What really ticks me off is that they don't tell you that BEFORE you buy the thing.
I suspect this won't be my last Toaster Oven, but I hope they're through making changes.

Piece of junk
Fire HazardImpact of the sticky timer: burned toast, smoke in the house. Yesterday, I had flames coming out the front of the toaster.
Delonghi should recall this appliance, as it is a true safety hazard.
FIREHAZARD AND RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE....0 STARMINE WAS A CHRISTMAS PRESENT AND LASTED ABOUT 3 WEEKS BEFORE MALFUNCTIONING. IT WILL TURN ITSELF BACK ON AFTER ABOUT A 1 MINUTE "REST".YOU BETTER STAY CLOSE BY OR YOUR KITCHEN WILL GO UP IN FLAMES. MINE ALMOST DID.
DEALING WITH THE COMPANY WAS AN ABSOLUT NIGHTMARE. RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND NO REPLACEMENT OR REFUND FOR MY 3 WEEK OLD FAULTY APPLIANCE.
I COULD SEND IT BACK TO THE COMPANY (AT MY EXPENSE) OR HAVE IT FIXED AT ONE OF THEIR "FIX IT SHOPS" (ABOUT A 1 HOUR DRIVE FROM MY HOUSE)
IT WAS NOT WORTH IT TO INVEST ANOTHER PENNY IN AN OVERPRICED POORLY MANUFACTURED APPLIANCE AND A LOUSY MANAGED COMPANY.
DE LONGHI .... NEVER EVER AGAIN.

Do not buy! Then today, the handle fell off! Turns out it's held in place by heat glue which means - yup, you guessed it - it gets soft whenever we use the toaster.
I'm keeping my eye out for a recall.

Toastmaster? That's a joke!
Still going strongI've cooked whole (small) roasts, personal size pizzas in it.
When they state there's a removable liner, you need to realize the heating element is still between the liner and the food, so if you're frying bacon or something very messy and fatty -- it will splash and splatter on the heating element. That in turn really stains the top part of the liner. Perhaps this is the reason the glass exploded on the front when I read other peoples reviews?
If you keep the oven clean, and don't get a build up of grease on it -- I think you'll be fine.
I just ordered two for Christmas gifts.

Stay far away
ScaryPerhaps this one is defective, but it's completely unacceptable. I can't believe they put this on the market.
Not as bad as others have said, but still...I think the problems with burnt toast that some of the reviewers of this model have mentioned may have occurred because neither of the two available rack grooves is centered. You therefore have to figure out how to position the racks: I found if you use the bottom groove for toasting and flip the rack upside down (for a little bit of added height), bread will toast decently. I haven't experienced any of the electrical malfunctions that other reviewers have, but then again I've only been using this toaster for about a week. And I haven't found the exterior to get noticeably hotter than other toaster ovens I've owned (e.g., Black & Decker, DeLonghi).
I agree, though, that the oven is extremely slow to heat up and that the expansive dial setup is ridiculous. For toasting purposes, you only have to turn the timer about 1/20th of its entire circumference (you read that correctly - one twentieth!), and as a result of this microscopic detail I have been unable to isolate a standard toasting point on the dial. And the unit does take up a lot of counter space, more than I think is warranted for its capacity. It appears the emphasis in the design was certainly more on the "oven" than on the "toaster." So the unit does not appear to have been conceived with people like me in mind, people who use these devices primarily as a toaster and only occasionally as an oven.
Also, despite what I said above, be prepared to find that the toasting will be somewhat uneven - but that's a problem I've seen on virtually all toaster ovens. I've noticed that the top heaters on this device start up faster than the bottom ones, which either accounts for the slight toasting discrepancy or, quite the opposite, is the manufacturer's attempt to more evenly distribute the heat. Honestly, though, its hard to find a toaster oven at this price ($39.99 at Costco) that toasts perfectly, because the elements generally cannot adjust for different bread thicknesses. If you want perfectly homogeneous toast, a standard pop-up toaster will always be a much better bet than ANY toaster oven.
All in all, this is a pretty good oven and only a fair toaster, but I haven't seen better at this price.

Disappointing Product Reliability
Not so greatMy advice is to get a different unit. This unit does not have a button to press for opening the door. It relies on a not very functional latch system. Find a unit with a button to open the door and you will hopefully be ok.

This is the WORST Toaster Oven EVERPlease buy anything else except this product.
Worst Toaster Oven EVER!
I expected better from ToastmasterSoon after, we discovered what other reviewers have noted: even on the lightest setting, it doesn't produce lightly toasted bread.
What makes matters worse is that this is the only toaster I have ever owned that doesn't have a bell to let you know your toast is done. This is completely bizarre, since the toaster DOES have a bell built into it -- it goes off when the oven timer runs out. But since it doesn't go off at the end of the toast cycle, you have to pay very close attention and watch for the indicator light to go off, as this is your ONLY way of knowing that your toast is done (or, as the case may be, overdone).
I at least allowed two stars because I've had good luck using the oven to quickly rewarm leftovers and even cook small frozen pizzas.
Overall, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.
