Beware the Sharp!

If I could give less stars, I would. WATCH OUT FOR SHARP MICROWAVES! A year and one month after purchase (how convenient), my over-the-range Sharp blew up. Smoke poured out of it, stinking up my kitchen and throwing me into a panic. Turns out the circuit board suddenly malfunctioned (the repair shop could find no cause for the malfunction), and it will cost $195 to fix - I paid $199 for the new unit! The LED lights began to malfunction after only three months (the repair shop had told us this happens extremely often with Sharp microwaves).

Do a search for "Sharp complaints" on the web and Usenet, and you'll see plenty of similar complaints. Avoid the Sharp microwaves at all costs, or be prepared to flush $200 down the toilet.

Very Disappointed

I have always bought those cheap little ovens that would last for about 6-8 months, so I decided to spend more and get a good quality one.

Well, this was a surprise! I turned on the oven, it worked 5 minutes and then quit.

Very disappointed.

THIS ITEM DOES NOT PROTECT YOUR HANDS IN ANY OVEN ABOVE 300 DEGREES....

I CALLED THE COMPANY AND THEY RECOMENDED THE BLUE VERSION - IT ALSO DOES NOT WORK AS IT SHOULD - YOU CANNOT HOLD A COOKIE SHEET THAT HAS BEEN UNDER A BROILER...

I am pretty sure this is a MAJOR issue for an oven mit..

The company did offer to take it back and refund my money..

This toaster oven seemed to work really well, cooking foods evenly, etc. 4 months later if I was not standing near it, my home would have caught on fire. The motor went up in flames as I was toasting a bagel and I immediately had to pull the plug. I would not recommend this product to anyone who would like to keep their home from catching on fire.
