    SIMPLY THE BEST TOASTER!!!
After years as a Dualit owner, I still get a certain pleasure from using its sensible, rugged controls, raising and lowering the toast myself, hearing the friendly ticking of its timer...
It's only a toaster I know, but there's just something about it that gives you a sense of satisfaction. And it makes any kitchen look cool, just siting there. I also know it's expensive, but I've known people buy several new, lesser toasters in the time I've had my Dualit, so who's saving? If something does go wrong, I can get new bits so I won't have to throw it away, ever perhaps.

By the way, it makes good toast too. The best thing is that the toast doesn't pop up, and toast is much crisper if you leave it down (keeping warm) inside the toaster for a minute or two. You can't usually do this with regular toasters.

If you are resistant of the price, think again, it's well worth the investment!

    THE BEST TOASTER-NOT FOR ALL
Just read the review about the person who cranked over paying 300 beans for a toaster. Obviously this person is clueless about what they are talking about. To make the following statements: "And it doesn't even pop the toast up? What is happening to the world?" shows the reason why this incredible piece of goods is not for a simpleton. The toast stays in the unit after the toasting cycle to KEEP IT WARM as do commercial units. Once toast is exposed to room temperature the bread immediate cools down, making it an unpleasant experience.
I find it incredible when someone writes a review and is IGNORANT about the facts. Let the slight of heart continue to buy junk and toss it. As for me, I'll go with a commercial quantity product anytime, that has the features and benefits and be thrilled to have the product last a long time.

If you want to spoil yourself and have the best, buy a DUALIT toaster. If this is out of your league, you can do as the other reviewer said, "you could buy a succession of 15 $20 toasters which I would imagine would cover the same amount of time as this one" and enjoy using sub par equipment! I recommend DUALIT toasters and products to all consumers. Simply put, you get what you pay for!

A MUST HAVE FOR THE KITCHEN
Even after four years as a Dualit owner, I still get a certain pleasure from using its sensible, rugged controls, raising and lowering the toast myself, hearing the friendly ticking of its timer...

    The best!
I love this toaster, it's by far the best I've ever owned. The slot handles both bread and bagels with ease. The lever allows you to push the toast up above the top of the slot for easy and safe removal from the toaster.

    Great for frozen stuff
Let me say first that I am a Toaster Strudel and Toaster Scrambler fanatic. If you've ever tried these things in a normal toaster you know that to get the inside hot you usually burn the outside. Not with THIS toaster. The FROZEN button pre-heats for a little while before cranking the heat to maximum. This thing does a great job with frozen pastries. No more burnt outsides. Another thing, the slot is long enough you can load up three Toaster Strudels side-by-side. For Toaster Strudel perfection with 3 pastries hit the frozen button and set the darkness control to 7. Code-slingers take note...get one of these for your break room.

Beautiful....And It Does The Job Beautifully!
I recently received this toaster as a housewarming gift and have had fun with it ever since. Fun with a toaster, you ask? Yes. The construction is ultra sturdy and the digitally controlled browning feature works perfectly. Also, if you buy thickly sliced homemade bread, oversized bagels or toaster waffles, this toaster will accomodate them without a problem. This toaster will spoil you for all other toasters. If you are looking for quality, skip the inferior, cheap alternatives and make the investment. I anticipate using this quality toaster for many years to come.

WOW, what a toaster!! This is an heirloom!
I grew up on a good old chrome Sunbeam toaster, then eventually found one to replace the plastic disposables that had filled the time between moving out on my own and "growing up". I had the Sunbeam for 12 years and had only had the cord updated when I first bought it for $12. It had auto bread drop and my husband decided that this toaster NEVER liked him. It was finicky for him and most times would not drop his bread no matter how he tried.
Well as usual, I have done TONS of research before buying a "major" appliance, and this would constitute a major appliance! I had my eye on several different ones, with the Dualit being one of them. We had originally agreed upon the DeLonghi, but when I saw it in person, the quality was just not what I wanted. And reading the ratings here, I had found the Breville too. But then I got lucky!!
It was only a few days before Christmas, and me, the eBay Queen, happened to find a brand new, never used, 4-slicer that had been a floor model, so it didn't have the box. Big deal! REALLY. I paid $95 plus shipping!! Took a little longer than it was supposed to to get here, but once it showed up, my husband and I must have eaten 5 loaves of bread in the first 3 days!! Plus I went out and bought a baker's dozen of the good bagels from the bagel shoppe and *poof* they were gone.
Now to the funny part. This was actually a Christmas gift for my husband. He moaned when I told him that he was getting a $300+ toaster for Christmas, even if it was such a bargain. Said, "But it's a TOASTER!". Well he's enjoying it just as much as one person could, PLUS he's bragging about it at work!! One of the guys at his office wants me to bring it in and he'll supply the bagels. So it's now the butt of jokes at work. But it's been good jokes. They are all just dying to see this thing! I think I'm going to ceremoniously place it in my son's Radio Flyer wagon and cover it with a red velvet cloth, then "drive" it into the office, with all eyes upon it!!
Okay, so now that I've written a novel, this is the BEST toaster!! It truly does toast bread perfectly!! Just like they say, it's evenly browned on the outside and moist on the inside...plus if you like to have burnt toast, which my husband does when his stomach is bothering him...you can have that too. We make homemade bread and can cut nice thick slices and have no problem fitting them into the huge slots. Love too that the bread stays down, until YOU lift it up. And the fact that you only use power for the number of slots you need.
What more can I say? This toaster is it! Yes, it's pricey, but I hate wastefulness and this is one that will get passed down to our kids and heck, maybe even their's!

    I Propose a Toast
Not to many people can claim to be experts in the field of toast so it is a bit embarrasing admitting to the fact that I am. For some unknown reason I started collecting toasters many years ago. Not the cheap plastic type which clutter the shelves of retailers these days but the good old toasters of yesteryear. I was drawn to them because of the quality, style, and craftsmanship they exhibited. These were products meant to last a lifetime all the while looking beautiful and performing flawlessly. I have many appliances which are 50 years old that are as good as the day they were made. Very few products today can make that same claim. The Rowlett toaster is definitely one such product which can. This is without a doubt the finest toaster available. Even Dualit must concede to the build quality of this product. Both are fine products but the hand polished stainless steel of the Rowlett give it the edge. I've used many toasters including Dualit, and vintage or modern this is the benchmark. Its great to know there are still companies striving for excellence and design in their products. If you're tired of throw away appliances then you, your children, their children and all of their decendants will be happy with your decision to purchase this product. Did I mention it also makes great toast!

Beautiful & Works Better Than Any Other Toaster
I originally bought a Dualit toaster because I thought it was the best... I then bought this Rowlett toaster and found that it beat it by a landslide. My friends and family can't stop talking about how beautiful it is and it is about 100 times more durable than the Dualit. I say step aside Dualit, Rowlett toasters are the absolute BEST!!!

    Mr Slice
"Big Red" is not exactly what I would call compact, but he's real
handsome in a retro sort of way. More importantly,
he delivers perfect toast every time. With all dials and
buttons working the way they should and a 3 year warranty, this toaster exudes confidence.

    Now this is a toaster!
I bought this Cuisinart toaster about a month ago. Previously, I owned a cheap Toastmaster two slice toaster that I had since college.

This toaster is compact but has everything you could need. It has slots wide enough for homemade bread and bagels, a reheat and defrost button and a cancel button. It is a very powerful toaster for sandwich bread. The first time I used it I was too excited to read the instructions first so I set the LED dial at 5 which was the level I used on my Toastmaster. That was a mistake because I burnt the toast crisp. This toaster I only have to set to a 2 to get my toast a nice brown shade. It really puts off the heat. I don't eat bagels so I can't say how it does on them. On Toaster Strudels it works well at a level 4 or 5 setting.

I love this toaster and would buy it again!

Can't beat it for 20 bucks!
When the old Toastmaster literally flamed out I went looking for an upgrade without spending $60 for a toaster. This is it!
Attractive, functional, efficient - a very good deal.

    Cool toaster
Perfect toaster. This is a very very awesome toaster. Way above the regular Black and Decker, or any other Toaster out there.

I like the cool electronic buttons on it, i.e. Cancel, reheat... etc.

    Great Toaster Oven!
I just recently bought the Cuisinart TOB-30 Classic Toaster Oven Broiler and I love it. When using a toaster oven, crumbs and food often fall below, making a huge mess in the bottom of the oven. Well, the TOB-30 has a metal tray at the bottom that simply slides out for EASY cleaning. Also, this toaster can hold 6 stuffed peppers, a 5 pound chicken, or a 9 inch pie. So, it is practical for everyone, whether you just want to make toast or cook an evening meal. It is the perfect size, easy to use, and most important-SO EASY TO CLEAN. Definately worth the money.

    Practical and functional
I like this appliance. It's no-nonsense. The design is straight-forward. The oven heats quickly. And the toaster does a better job than my conventional toaster. It browns the toast, yet retains the flavor of the bread. I haven't used the broiler yet. After two weeks of use, I'm extremely pleased with this purchase.

Ad Description of Item is all wrong
The reason people buy toaster covers is not for looks, but for hygiene. Think about how much dust, pet hair etc is clinging to the outside of your toaster by the time you get around to swabbing it off. Dust is 75% human skin. Ugggh. Now all this dust goes in the holes where the toast goes and when you put your toast in you are covering it with dust. MMMMMmmmmm. So ideally you should cover your toaster when not in use or that hair you find in your pop tarts or eggos might be the least of what you consume;)

    Stylish, sexy, simply the best....
The first thing I noticed about this is just how good it looks. It really is a showpiece in my kitchen. The smooth, rounded shape and the shiny chrome finish really make it look fabulous and I leave it out on the counter all the time. Apart from that, it seems pretty much a normal toaster. The extra-lift feature makes getting small bagels out very easy, and the electronic buttons are handy too. I like the way it can take four big pieces of bread or bagels without taking up too much room in the kitchen. 5 stars!
