Makes great waffles
I made my first waffles ever on this machine and it hasn't turned out a bad batch yet. The waffles cook evenly, and quickly, the machine is easy to use, and has a nice look to it. The only complaint, really no big deal, is that you cannot remove the plates for cleaning. In truth it is still very easy to clean without this feature.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! EASY TO USE!!
We did online research and read reviews for many waffle irons before we purchased the Hoffritz Belgian Waffle Maker. It makes wonderful huge waffles and perfect every time. We are looking forward to trying different recipes.

Great Waffler
My wife likes Belgian waffles and I like the ordinary kind. We had been using a sunbeam waffle maker that we got for a wedding present and a Black and Decker Belgian waffle maker that we'd picked up in the Eighties. Both of these were getting pretty ratty. I replaced them for our 30th anniversary with a Hoffritz HZBW4 4-Slice Belgian waffler and a Villaware 2001C classic waffler. I liked the looks of the Hoffritz, but couldn't find it in a regular waffle. Anyway, we've been using them for a couple of months now, and here's the take on them:
They're both great, but I like the Hoffritz better. I like the digital controls. It takes a little longer to cook a waffle than the Villaware, but just long enough to take care of the waffle from the Villaware before the Hoffritz signals it's done. They both have audible "ready" signals and lights. The Hoffritz is quite a bit larger than the Villaware. They both look good. They both cook great waffles. The Villaware has kind of a tacky mechanical lever for setting how "done" you want your waffle; this lever does not ratchet, so it is easy to accidentally change the setting. The Hoffritz has a button for a "crispy" waffle; I haven't noticed that it does anything different when set; set at "3" it makes the waffles crispy like my wife prefers. I like my waffles less crispy; I've been using the Villaware set at "5," but I think I'm going to try jacking it up a little. The outside of the Villaware seems to get hotter than the Hoffritz; and stays hot a lot longer; maybe because it's made of cast aluminum rather than the Hoffritz's stainless steel. I read a review of a waffler where the person was complaining about the outside getting dangerously hot. As far as I know that's true of all wafflers, and neither of these are an exception. Bottom line, they're both imminently satisfying, if I had to choose between the two, I'd want them to make a Hoffritz that cooks "regular" waffles.

A Hit With the Kids!
Using this waffler has become a Saturday morning tradition at our house. Cooks evenly, produces nice waffles. The only drawback is that it takes awhile to cook a family batch of waffles, so we use an additional (regular) waffler as well, to speed things up.

Worth it
This product is a lot of fun.

A bell would be nice to tell you when it's done but no big deal. Shouldn't be walking out of the kitchen with something like this on anyway. You do hear a click when the light turns on.

We use a large water bottle to dispense the batter. That way you can squeeze it out of a small opening and distribute it evenly.

Big Hit
This has made me an instant celebrity in the eyes of my granddaughters!

Best Waffle Maker Ever
This is my second waffle maker in a year. The first one (Procter Silex) was awful. This is just excellent. Perfect waffles every time. Tips: Use Bisquick mix for waffles; it's the best. Second, use a half-cup measuring cup to pour mix into waffle. This way it won't overflow and make a big mess.

Fantastic Wafflemaker!
This is an excellent waffle maker! I've really enjoyed experimenting with it. It makes perfect waffles every time. I highly recommend it to anyone. In fact, I bought one as a wedding gift recently!

Fast and crispy, please!
I just love this waffle iron. It's quick, it's easy, and it does a great job. Much faster than my old waffle iron, and easy to adjust and monitor, I am very happy to have ordered it.

Waffles for breakfast!
We had our first waffles this morning, using the Cuisinart Belgian Waffler. Couldn't have been easier to use, and the waffles couldn't have tasted better! The non-stick coating releases the waffles instantly. The reason I rated it four stars instead of five, is that if the batter oozes out of the waffler, clean-up is a bit harder.

Just about the best I have found
I have the model with the round knob on the top. This unit looks like it may have replaced the one I have, moving the temp control to the front. Otherwise, it is the same. I have used many waffle makers from the cheapest B&D to the fancy new Villaware. I keep returning to a pair of these that I have. Strong heating elements, thorough and fast cooking, non-stick is holding up great and very even cooking. Nice crispy waffles. The lock down is the key as it forces the batter to rise up into the upper pockets where they are cooked evenly. This IS THE ONE, trust me.

Price-gouged by the mouse!
I bought this waffle iron on the strength of the other reviews, and it has been a disappointment. Here are the negatives not mentioned:

1. Price. For this price I would have expected more bells and whistles than Mickey's face.

2. No chime. I bought this in haste after looking at so many waffle irons I was cross-eyed and I didn't notice beforehand. Oops.

3. No adjustment for lighter or darker waffles. This coupled with no chime means I must babysit the waffle iron and not distract myself with household goings-on. Not an easy task with 5 children!

4. Metalic surface is HOT. Very beautiful to look at when cool, but dangerous in a house with children.

5. Waffle iron top-heavy when lid is up. Again, dangerous in a house with children.

6. Waffles are much smaller than they look in the picture. This may actually be a positive for some people with small children, but I thought I'd mention it as it was a negative in our large family.

7. Waffles can take up to 3 minutes to cook. Also a negative as I was looking for one of those cool 90-second wafflers.

These negatives wouldn't have been such a big deal if this waffle iron wasn't so darned expensive! I'd have been okay happy at a third of the price. But for this kind of money, the iron should predetermine my hankering for waffles and mix up the batter for me!

Just like Disney World
If your kids like the Mickey waffles/pancakes at Disney World, this is great. Flawless results everytime.

A sure kid pleaser!
I took my niece to Walt Disney World and she fell in love with the minature Mickey Mouse waffles. I was delighted to find the waffle maker available to the general public and it makes waffles just like those at Walt Disney World. Sure to put a smile on the face of kids and adults alike!

Perfect For Making Pizzelle
I have had my pizzelle maker since last year and found it makes great pizzelles much faster than the old fashioned way with the iron on the stove, and clean-up is extremely easy. As the host of my own culinary website Italian Food Forever, I am always on the lookout for tools to make my time in the kitchen easier, and this little machine certainly falls into that category. I used to save pizzelle making for Christmas, but this machine makes it so easy, I now make pizzelles for any special family get-together. The cookies are crisp and golden brown all over, and friends and family can't get enough of them. Even if you have never made pizzelle before, with this machine you will have no trouble at all.

Perfect Little Pizzelles
When we found out that there are actual pizzelle bakers, we decided to try one out. We actually made a batch as soon as the item arrived at our door. The pizzelles made with this pizzelle baker are a little smaller than the store-bought kind, but that just means less crumbs and pizzelle pieces to clean up AND a lot more pizzelles in less time. We made 30 pizzelles in fifteen minutes, including mixing the ingredients and cleaning up! The relatives will love their pizzelle packages this coming winter -- the baker comes with several recipes to ensure everyone's tastebuds are satisfied.

Fun and easy to use....
Just received my Villaware 3850 Quattro Pizzelle Baker. It took only 3 days to get it from the time I ordered it! Way to go Amazon! I tried my first batch today and they were easy to do and turned out great..so now we will have some pizzelles for Thanksgiving dinner, unless everyone eats them before tomorrow! The recipe book that comes with is very helpful and the recipes are good and easy. I plan to enjoy this appliance for a long time to come!

Miss Peggy
Love the thought of hot, steaming waffles, but as a diabetic not much hope.....please offer items which are not food related. Otherwise, I won't be able to be able to partake of your wonderful offers. thanks otherwise.

Very Pleased
I have used my Waffle Iron three times now and love it. The waffles are cooked perfectly, come out with ease and best of all, they are voted by my family as the best waffles we have ever eaten. The waffle iron is so easy to clean, use and store. It is always nice to buy somthing, and be happier then you expect when you use it. When I make waffles I always make a couple extras and put them in a ziplock, and throw them in the freezer. My son puts them in the toaster oven, for a before school breakfast

KISS
Making a perfect waffle should not require Betty Crocker, or Martha Stewart. This product is designed with simplicity and practicallity in mind. Even though it has the good looks of a fashion model, it is as easy to use as the girl that you wouldn't take home to Mom. If you want flawless waffels at an economical price, and without much thought, this is the one for you.

Product Performance
I just purchased the 4-slice Hoffritz Waffle Maker. I presently own the 2-slice Hoffritz Waffle Maker. I let my mother use it and she loves it so well that I have not had the heart to take it from her. I truly love your waffle maker.

I purchasd another brand for my house and it did not even compare with the quality and/or performance of the Hoffritz Waffle Maker. I returned it for a refund.

I cannot understand why this product is being discontinued. It is excellent. My sister in law also purchased her a Hoffritz Waffle Maker. We love the waffles that it makes.

I look forward to many, many mornings of wonderful fluffy waffles cooked to perfection by the Hoffritz Waffle Maker.

Now that I just purchased a 4-slice waffle maker from you, I want have to upset my mother. (Smile)

Best Belgian waffler I have ever owned.
I have owned three Belgian wafflers including this one. This one is by far the best. The problem I had with the other two, was that the waffles consistently stuck to the "non-stick" coating. This is NOT a problem with the Hoffritz. In addition to the fact that the waffles do not stick to the waffle iron, it has the added benefit of making great waffles too! I like it so much, I am thinking of picking up the 4-slice model. There is also a great recipe for Belgian waffles from scratch (no mix needed) in the instruction manual. A tip on the Belgian waffles: If you use quick rising yeast, you only need to let the mix stand for 2 hours, not 6, and there is also no need to separate the eggs, just crack the whole eggs into the mix at the appropriate time. Also, you may want to add 2TSP of vanilla to the mix - it makes them much better. This waffler may cost about twice what a waffler should, but it is well worth it if you like waffles.

Awesome Belgian Waffle Maker
I received this waffle maker about a month ago and have only used box mix's and still these are the best waffles my kids and I have ever had. I seasoned grills with oil the first time, like a reviewer insisted and waffles pull out and are perfect every time. Have never owned a waffler before, but I don't know how it could be better than the Hoffritz. I actually have the four belgian waffler which is great for two older son's and there friends. Awesome!!!

Great waffle maker
A very convenient waffle maker and the non-stick coating works great. After 3 or 4 times I noticed some sticking problems when recipes substitute oil for butter, but the recipes with butter have no problems. If something sticks then use wooden chopsticks to get it off, this works quite well as the chopsticks slide right through the waffle iron grooves and won't scratch the non-stick coating.

works wonderfully!
This is the second waffle maker I've owned. The previous one (krupps) was okay, but it just stopped working one day, so I decided to go with a different brand this time, and I must say-- this model is superior. The waffles always come out crispy and delectable and I love the round shape. I've made waffles almost every weekend for the past 2 months (my roommate requests them). I usually use pancake mix mixed with vegetable oil for the batter, and I haven't had the slightest problem with them sticking, despite what some previous reviewers have stated. In fact, there's hardly anything to wipe off when I'm done, because the waffles come off so cleanly. Also, though the device doesn't have a ready light, I've found that that feature was superfluous to begin with. The waffles generally take the same exact time to cook each time, so I guage their readiness by the clock and, if I ever have any concerns about how cooked they are, I can just open the iron and peek in. It's not difficult at all. The only drawback is that you can only make one waffle at a time. But that's a small price to pay for delicious waffles!

Great Waffle Maker
I have to agree with the positive review. It is very easy to use. After using it once or twice you will be able to make PERFECT beautiful waffles and it doesnt take long. It is a LOT less messy than other waffle makers I have used. If you put a little PAM cooking spray on the TOP and bottom just before pouring the batter, the waffle will come out very easy. I used my roommates at least 2-3 times a week for 2 years. Now that I am on my own, I am adding it to my wedding registry wish list!! Trust me on this one!!!

Perfect waffle every time!
I've tried many different waffle irons over the years and this, by far, is the best one. I've used it several times so far and every single waffle, no matter what recipe I use, comes out perfect. Nothing sticks and when the "done" tone sounds, it's ready!

Wonderful
I bought this waffler not quite sure what to expect. The one I bought was originally broken - I sent it back to the manufacturer with a note describing the problem and a new one arrived two weeks later! This second waffler cooks very quickly - almost too fast. You have to gobble down one waffle in a hurry in order to catch the next one piping hot. This waffler is head and shoulders above the 10 year old one that I had been used to and makes perfect waffles every time.

LOVE this Waffle Baker
Just bought this one. I love the fact that the temperature settings are easy to adjust, the knob is large and firm enough that you can tell what you're doing. My kids love the "tweety tweet" sound when the waffles are done. There is a light to watch, but you don't have to! Easy to keep clean. Non-stick is great.
