Over all the set is fine and useable with one glaring exception - the cheese grater is cheap and poorly designed. I attempted to use it once on some asiago (not the hardest cheese either) and it barely grated anything; the metal began bending and it would have broken had i continued. Many of the tiny bits it actually did grate became gummed up in the overlapping plastic frame.

If you need a cheese grater this set is not a good deal, the grater is a total waste in my opinion.

I have to say I disagree with the other reviewer-sorry! I didn't buy this exact set as it appears here, I wish I had seen this before I bought all of the pieces individually! These are really nice, heavy, substantial pieces, and are so nice to use. I can't comment on the grater, I do not own it, but the rest are easy to use and clean, and are very comfortable in the hand to use. I am a believer that this set is worth every penny!!!

I also ordered these products individually and own all but the grater. Each does an exceptional job. They are all dishwasher safe and easy to clean. The weight is substantial and each tool feels sturdy in your hand. I have owned and used these items for many months and they still look new. The finishes have not worn at all.
The can opener is the best I've ever owned. I threw away my electric opener after buying this one. The peeler is the first I've had that is not awkward to use. I use the whisk almost every day. It is a perfect size - not too big. The ice cream scoop has a good weight to it and the edges dig nicely into the ice cream. The scraper is flexible, yet sturdy and is shaped to perfectly fit Kitchen Aid's stainless steel mixer bowls. Truly a great buy at this price.

If you're into All-Clad, then you probably have the 6 piece tool set. The set is fine without, but the pasta ladle is a must have. Big bowl ringed by "fingers" keep everything in its place. If you're into volume cooking, then this is for you. Clean up is a breeze and it doesn't pick up sauce stains, etc. You've gone this far, the pasta ladle is the obvious piece to round out your collection.

This pasta ladle is excellent; it is well made and easy to clean. The design is excellent, it allows you to scoops pasta quickly and easily. The polished stainless steel is so beautiful you could definitely serve with it as well. It is excellent quality that will last a lifetime. An All Clad must have! Highly recommended! A+ !

When I purchase cookware, I usually look for All-Clad. With All-Clad, I expect a superior product made from superior American materials by American craftsman. Not so any more. All-Clad has become another cookie-cutter distributor selling "Made in China" goods at inflated prices.

To think that I tossed my previous metal tongs to buy these "Made in China" tongs! Without the All-Clad trademark, these tongs are worth [not as much].

I've purchase many All-Clad products in the past. I won't be buying more All-Clad/Made in China products in the future.

These are probably the most beautiful set of tongs I have ever seen. They have a mirror-bright, high polish and they are so sturdy and well-made that they should last a lifetime and then some. They are so good-looking that you should not keep them hidden away in the kitchen. Put them out on the table or buffet to serve up your gourmet delights.

The locking mechanism is clever but a bit too difficult to handle if you have arthritis or other difficulties with pain and weakness in your hands and fingers (speaking from experience, here). Because the locking mechanism is difficult to move from the locked to unlocked, and vice versa positions, it could prove too difficult for anyone with painful hands. The weight of these tongs could also be a problem. If you must hold and manipulate them for a prolonged period of time, like a lengthy cooking session, they could prove to be too heavy. My fingers and thumb joints get rather painful from holding these heavy tongs. I gave up trying to unlock and relock them whenever I need to. I just keep them in the unlocked position and keep a rubber band around them when I have to keep them closed to store them in a drawer.

I hate to give these wonderful tongs a 4-star rating instead of a 5 as they otherwise deserve. But a word to the wise: If you have any hand pain or grip problems, you might want to look for some less well-made (and much lighter!) tongs.

These tongs are great. I use them all the time with my All Clad cookware. They are perfect for tossing sautéed spinach, turning chicken cutlets etc. The locking feature is great. I keep them in the locked position when they are in the utensil crock, drying or by the stove. The polished stainless steel is so beautiful you could definitely serve with them as well. It is excellent quality that will last a lifetime. An All Clad must have! Highly recommended! A+ !

Bought this because i didn't want to be eating plastic. However, there is no "give" to this turner and everything gets stuck in the holes which are difficult to clean. The holes aren't Emeril's fault, of course, but I was naive to think the oil would fall through them. Whatever does is minimal that you're better off getting the solid turner.

Keeping the '3 star reviews' in the back of my mind as I purchased and first used this new slotted turner, I found 5+ stars to be the absulute review rating for this item. It fits the appropriate pan side perfectly for turning and stiring food. I just love this turner! The holes are great and don't get clogged or make it hard to clean. This item gets an A+ from me!

I agree that the shape is nice, but I melted the edge on the first time out, just pressing it against the pan to separate some conjoined pancakes. I don't know what this is made of, but it isn't nearly as sturdy as the silicone spatulas I typically use.

I'll admit, I had to learn how to use this "turner" because of its shape, but now I realize that it's far better than any spatula I've ever had. I can actually flip a burger now!! (something I could never do before) I've got to check out more Emerilware. You will not be disappointed -- this spatula is definitely worth it.

I don't understand the fascination with All Clad products. While I like the turner part of this fish turner, it has THE MOST UNCOMFORTABLE HANDLE of any tool in my kitchen. What is All Clad thinking? Don't their designers ever use their equipment.

Beautiful to look at and high quality from All Clad are good reasns to buy this item. But, another purchaser wrote it was uncomfortable to use and that's right. I thought it didn't matter so I bought it. It isn't just uncomfortable, it feels terrible in your hand even if you are only using it for a few seconds. However it does the job and it isn't expensive.

I bought this fish turner for my step-dad who is a commercial fishman. He loved it, and uses it almost every day. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who cooks fish often.

I bought this All-Clad stainless spoon and was very excited to use it but it was very disappointing (and heartbreaking!) I used it on my brand new All-Clad stainless pan and it scratched up the pan really bad with just one time of light use! Hence, I have put this spoon away b/c I don't want to ruin any of my other metal pots and pans. I guess I could use it to serve but it defeats the purpose of me spending this $$ on it.

This spoon looks nice but it is very heavy. My arm got tired from using it to stir-fry. I don't recommend buying it. Cooking shouldn't be this painful. =(

My mother had a squared-off spoon ever since I can remember. It is great for cooking, getting the corners of the pots, and completely covers the bottom of the pan! No need to use a spatula and a spoon with this one! I have been looking for years to find one for myself and am greatful to find one here. I would encourage all cooks of all ages and experience to get one for themself and anyone they know!

Nope, I don't have these but I'd buy them in a second if there was a 1/3 cup. Please make one.

First of all, I do not own this All-Clad scoop set, but I am in the market to buy. So why am I writing this "review?" In the hopes that All-Clad will take note and include a 1/3 cup in this scoop set (it's such a common measurement, I was amazed it is not included). That's why I gave it a "rating" of 3 stars (otherwise, I'm sure it would have deserved 5).
Secondly, if it is added to this set, I would definitely buy it. I own many All-Clad products, and they are without a doubt the best kitchen products I've ever owned!

Large measuring spoons are really nice for the baker in your family. Need to add another cup of flour, just dip the large spoon into the bag and away you go.

The finish on these spoons is top notch. Fits right in with everything else All-clad makes.

My only complaint is that I'd like a larger set of these spoons, The 1/8 cup and a 1/3 cup sizes would be really handy. Of course if you don't have a set of measuring cups, get those first. The cups will sit on the counter with their flat bottoms, unlike the spoons which tip over.

I love all my All Clad pots and pans, however, when I bought these from Amazon.com, I was very unhappy with their function. Poorly designed. Hard to pick up items. Very nice to look at, but cheaper ones are better. Save your money.

I like these tongs, but they were pricey. About 5 times the price of the local cheap store stuff. I know, I know, I'll never have to buy another one...but honestly how often do you wear out something like this. I love the heft and the finish, high quality all around, I don't like the locking mechanism, it's always locked when I don't want it to be. Great for worrying the cat though. All in all, I'm happy with them, just think this item is a tad overpriced.

This is the perfect tool for moving and turning over items (such as meats) because you get better grip and leverage than you would using a spatula. I also use it for manipulating items in large bowls when I'm marinating, coating, etc. The "locking" feature helps save space when storing in my drawer. The only drawback I've found with the relatively "flat" ends of this tong is that with some items, especially slippery things like raw chicken thighs, it's hard to get a good grip. So I wish they would also come out with a version which has more rounded ends for better grip capability.
