My wife loves these colander (bought 2 for her). Beautiful colander with fine craftmanship. Definitely recommended.

This looks wonderful hanging from the pot rack. After several washings, it has retained its bright silver appearance. It strains fairly fine particles, is easy to clean and seems durable. Unlike the plastic ones, it's not going to melt or break, and it has a nice enough look that you can set it on the table with your drained noodles if you like. Highly recommend.

It's not cheap, but it's gooood. Whether you need to drain pasta or filter out the mind control rays from the orbital satellites, this one'll do the job for a long time. Very solid. A little bit heavy, but that's the tradeoff--sure, you can get lighter (and wimpier) colanders, but why run the risk of having your mind being subverted by the CIA because they jack up the power a bit?

Seriously, it's a very good colander. You'll never need another one. The handles are welded on so there's no rivets to fall out, and it's about the right size for the typical pasta mess. Enjoy.

Actually, I have used this mostly for stir-fry cooking in my non-stick wok. It is just great for turning food over and moving it around in the wok. It has proved very durable over the year that I have owned it. It does a good job at skimming soups, too, as well as fishing pasta out of boiling water.

Over the years of my cooking, I have tried several brands of kitchen utensils, and I just love these. The grips are so much easier to hold on to, and your hands won't slip on the handles either. I also own several of the more expensive non stick pots and pans, and when using these utensils, there hasn't been even so much as a scratch. They are also very sturdy when lifting something that's on the heavy side. Thumbs up on these!!

This is a superb large steamer insert. It is great for large quantities of veggies or whatever you would like to steam. There is nothing like the flavor of freshly steamed veggies! It fits perfectly in the 6, 8, and 12 quart stock pots. I have only used it in the 6 and 8 quart stock pots myself. It is made very well and is excellent quality built to last. All Clad truly is lifetime cookware, I am sure you will not be disappointed. And it is backed by a lifetime warranty, what more can you ask for? Highly recommended! A+!

I have this 4 quart colander by Amco and am extremely pleased with it in my kitchen. The large capacity is perfect for loads of linguine or anything else I need to drain or strain. The handles stay cool and the holed-pattern is an artistic leaf design.

The base comes in handy. Sometimes I just have to leave the kitchen for a moment and know this is safely balanced in the sink. Stainlees steel is easy to clean and this is also dishwasher safe. I still give it a good rinse first in cold water to remove starchy build-up.

As a mention, this colander is so attractive and attractively priced, I have bought more, filled them with colorful fresh fruits and candies, wrapped in bright hued plastic wrap and given them as gifts. Perfect for get-well hospital visits, house-warming parties, and holiday events. I have yet to hear a complaint!

This strainer is made of very heavy metal. It is sturdy, and is not prone to getting dinged up. For me these are valuable tools in straining water off of pasta, and washing vegetables and fruits. No kitchen should be without!

A friend, who is a chef, recommended using a strainer instead of a traditional flour sifter. This one is large enough to work beautifully and takes up less space than having a strainer and a sifter in your kitchen.

Since I strain the waste from my birds' food (Exact Rainbow Diet for Canary/Finch), I needed a small strainer that had a small and gentle mesh. This strainer has exceeded my expectations in that it allows only they dusty powder through the mesh as I shake it over the waste basket. The strainer has gone through the dishwasher many times already and shows absolutely no sign of aging. It could be used for many tasks and comes highly recommended!
