Ladle Reviews

This is a strong, sturdy and attractive ladle for soups, gumbos and sauces. And it won't damage your non-stick cookware either. I suggest everyone have it and all the other calphalon utensils as well!

I recently purchased this Calphalon Nylon Ladle along with all the other matching cooking utensils from Calphalon. I like the versatility in nylon utensils as I can use them on both my nonstick and stainless steal pans without worrying about whether they will scratch anything or not. Unlike my cheap plastic utensils that these replaced the Calphalon ones are heat resistant to 400 degrees. My old cheap plastic ones had burn marks up and down the handles as I used to rest them on the edge of the pan. Prior to buying these, I didn't realize that they made melt-proof nylon. It's nice to know that I'll no longer have the problem of unsightly utensils as the Calphalon nylon ones are strong and durable. I purchased a utensil holder, so now my Calphalon utensils are on display in my kitchen. Along with all their other finer qualities, these utensils are comfortable to use. The thumb guard and finger grip on the handle makes them easy to hold. The solid black color makes them go with most any decor. These will make a nice addition to any kitchen.

The company I work for has spent a lot of money on replacing utensils that break from everyday use. We purchased 2 of these and each is used twice a day, once for lunch and once for dinner. They are them put in dishwashers that reach temperatures between 160-190 degrees. After more that a year, we are still using the 2 that we bought. This was definitely a great purchase. I'd say we'd buy them again, but I don't think we'll need to replace the ones we have any time soon.

This ladle is a work of art as much as a hard-working ladle. I have it hanging on my pot rack for all to see. Excellent quality.

I love the All-Clad cooking tools and this Soup Ladle comes free with the All-Clad 3.5 QT Soup Pot (which is also very nice). I managed to pick up the kit for 1/2 price on special from another retailer. 80% of my All-Clad cookware has been purchased on these kinds of sales, so I sit around and wait for them to come up!

The ladle follows the rest of the All-Clad equipment in that it is constructed with a very substantial handle and is solid stainless steel. As long as its not lost or stolen, this will be the last ladle you'll ever need to buy.

I am remodeling my kitchen and have a new copper faucet, all oak cabinets and all white tile counter and walls. I am buying all copper cookware and looking for other copper and brass accessories. This laddle is not only useful but will grace my wall. Thank you for designing it for me.

I've had a lot of ladles in my life, and I've cupped alot of things with them. This is the best, better than all the rest. It single-handedly lifted me out of years of depression, boosted my social life, and even helped with hot stock tips. On the day I used it to club my husband to death, it didn't even dent. I now sleep with it at night. If there's only one ladle on your christmas, birthday, or anniversary list, this is it. Enjoy!!

Ok, cmon now. It's a ladle and works well. I own the extire oxo steel line and am pleased with all the products under this line. They all perform their function well and with style. And they are also very comfortable to use thanks to the famous oxo nonslip rubber handle/fins.

A beautiful serving piece that will stand up to years of use. This soup crock blends with various solid dinnerware patterns in addition to the Pistoulet collection itself. The ladle's handle has a nice finishing design touch and a "foot" so that it rests comfortably on the bottom of the crock.

Our spoon-shaped sppon rests have been thrown out, this item obsoletes them! Big enough to hold 3 different toos easily, this rest also uses less stove-top or counter space than lay-them-flat spoon rests. Simple lines, even elegant, it cleans up easily and promises to last for years. I wouldn't change a thing about it. Very good value.

It does what you need it to do, it goes in the dishwasher, and it's pretty. The handle doesn't get terribly hot, and you can hang it up by the loop at the end of the handle. I was surprised by how big it is.

We got a deep-fat fryer for Christmas and this is fun to use with it. We make perfect tortilla shells by dropping them in the fryer basket and pushing down on them with this doodad. Works great.

I have a few OXO utensils in my kitchen, though I have replaced most with Calphalon and KitchenAid. While this set is sturdy and attractive, the handles are large and make it difficult to store them. I normally store utensils in an upright container on the counter, but because of the huge handles, the containers only fit 1/3 the amount of OXO utensils compared to my Calphalon utensils.

Even though the handles are difficult for storage, they are nice when you are cooking as they are big and easy to grasp. This set is decent as a starter set though, because all the items are sturdy, attractive and easy to clean. I just stick mine in the dishwasher and have never had a problem. I do especially like the OXO can opener - it's one of my favorites! Works extremely well.. I use it more often than most others in my kitchen.

I think these are a good purchase, but eventually you'll probably want to upgrade to nicer, easier to store, utensils. :)

We recently renovated our kitchen and couldn't bring ourselves to bring some of our old wedding gifts back out of boxes. We wanted some new kitchen utensils & these were a good start.

These are not OXO's best quality utensils. They are obviously a "package set", but still have the trademark OXO soft grip handles. OXO utensils usually run $3.99 - $7.99 each, so 19 pieces at this price is a deal. It's a nice set, but the spoons seem a little small, and the ladle is really too small (probably great for pancake batter).

If you're looking for a nice starter set, this is great. If you're looking fof the better OXO utensils, you'll have to do it piece by piece. I've already added an ice cream scoop to ours.

I have been collecting things for when I finally move out. When I first saw this set, I wanted it, but the price was a little expensive for me. When I saw it on sale, I got it.

It has the basic tools that I use pretty much every day I'm home: can opener, turner, spoon, measuring cups.

It also have the college essential: pizza wheel.

About once a week I use some of the other tools: peeler, spaghetti server, slotted spoon.

I've yet to use the grater.

A great addition to this et would be a paring knife. I got a paring knife & peeler set and it has been wonderful, two great tools.

Like I said, this is a great set if you're just starting out and don't have anything. OXO has worked great for me (salad spinner, spinner accessory kit, magnet clips, apple corer, citris reamer).
