This bowl is about as wonderful a mixing bowl as you can get. I own this and the 4 quart bowl. They are solidly constructed. You can put a hand mixer in it and the bowl doesn't move. I particularly like the depth of each bowl. They are not so wide that the contents spread out and become a chore to mix. They also clean up very well. You should definitely check them out.

I purchased both this 2 quart bowl and the 4 quart bowl. I really enjoy cooking with these bowls. They are an improvement over the standard glass or metal bowls that I use to have. The rubberized bottom is the best feature, you can actually run the mixer with one hand and not have the bowl move all over the counter top. The handle has a nice feel to it and the spout actually works without the dribble.

I really like these bowls, except the same size bowls do not stack very well. Not a big issue, I have enough storage space, but it would be nice to have a stacking feature. Also, another color other than white would be nice. Even with these two small issues, I will purchase more of these bowls for myself and as house warming presents.

I am an avid baker so a mixing bowl gets a workout in my kitchen. The OXO name is synonymous with quality and this bowl is the epitome of that quality. Finally, a mixing bowl that is DEEP enough to not fling batter all over my kitchen countertop. A mixing bowl with a very clever ergonomically designed HANDLE. A mixing bowl that's plastic and therefore MUCH quieter to mix in. And, as if all that wasn't enough, it's rubberized on the bottom so it stays where.

I could just KISS whomever is responsible for inventing this bowl. Buy as many as you can get your hands on in every size because it will be the bowl you reach for every time, for every task.

This is a wonderful item. Before I had this one (and the same one in another size) I only had plastic bowls. This one is so much better on alot of levels.

First it is a wonderful, all around great size. Its substantial size makes it great for alot of mixing chores. Its easy to clean and maintain. And great for salads as it holds the temperature and the salads stay cold.

My old plastic bowls werent as study and had a tendancy to tip, didnt help with temerature reculation and were harder to clean (tomato would stain it , you couldnt use plastic as a make-shif double boiler, and it was hard to ever be sure any grease was off it, essential for whipping egg whites.

this is a great item. They arent bad for storage either as they nest. I wouldnt get any other bowls, at this point...

I never thought I'd gush about a mixing bowl, but this one is great. I bought it as part of a deal with the Whirley Pop popcorn popper and I love this bowl. This is a thicker and heavier stainless steel than all my other bowls. Because it is heavier, it is less prone to move or tip over. All mixing bowls are not created the same, and this one is clearly one of the best.

Amco is a commercial line of heavy duty stainless steel products that are used in restaurant and home kitchens. I have a set of less expensive stainless steel bowls, but I packed them away when I discovered the Amco bowls. I like the idea that I can purchase exactly the size bowls that I need for cooking and baking.

This Amco 4-Quart Stainless Steel Mixing Bowl is a convenient size. I recommend buying the 5-Quart and 6-Quart sizes too. (Recall that KitchenAid Stand Mixer Bowls are in 4.5-Quart and 5-Quart sizes.) The flat bottoms means that you can place them on a counter (on top of a damp flour sack kitchen towel would prevent any slippage). There are many times you will want to use one of these bowls instead of using your stand mixer. For example, chocolate brownie mixes usually recommend 50 stirs by hand.

Highly recommended! These bowls are dishwasher-safe, too.

We got a set of these over twenty years ago as a wedding shower gift. They are versatile, and (so far) indestructible. There is a fourth, larger, size we also have, and between the four bowls, its easy to go from meal prep, baking, and serving to storage. Plus, they stack together nicely, so they don't take up much storage space.

It's standard traditional mostly-indestructible Pyrex that will last a long time. You'll need a set of metal bowls as well, but glass is a good choice for a lot of things--glass makes it easy to see how well your latest mess is getting mixed, and the big bowl is big 'nough to contain *most* messes. The measuring cups are good--I've had one that I've (ab)used for 15 years and the measures are still perfectly legible, and a second one (one for dry, one for wet) is always handy.

There's also the "you can never have too many bowls" rule. Glass is also very fashionable as headwear.

When you first move out of your parents' house and you need some basic mixing bowls and a measuring cup, this will do the trick, and just might last you through a marriage or two...The Pyrex bowls are strong and versatile, as they go in the microwave, the fridge and the dishwasher. What more could you ask for?

I got one of these in 1992 while living in Australia and it's utility really surprised me. Tossing salads for parties is a breeze in it. I only brought a few things back to the states with us and Big Bowl was one of the essentials. We used it for so many picnics and potlucks it became a joke with family: "Just bring it in 'Big Bowl', my sister would say" Sadly, I melted mine on the hot burner of a stove (an accident!) and miss it dreadfully. I look forward to when it's available again!

I have used this bowl for several years. I have mixed large batches of bread, stored Chex cereal "Nuts and Bolts", stored mixes of roll or cookie mix. I am now ordering one for daughter who has recently married.

These are simply the most beautiful products Tupperware has ever made. The vibrant colors are undiminished by dishwasher cleansing and the famous seal keeps everything appetizing and fresh. The large tabs make the bowls easy to open, even with long fingernails! The combination makes a great gift and the variety of sizes ensures that you always have an appropriate storage container handy (they nest beautifully). As with all Tupperware products, use the following tip when storing tomato-based sauces and foods: spray the container lightly with non-stick spray prior to filling with sauce to avoid staining!

I love these bowls, purchased a set for myself and another to give as gifts! I like how they nest into each other to save space in my cabinets. This set looks beautiful when serving and is practical. Just sit bowl atop cover and that way is "saves it's place on the table". Gifts: large family gift in largest bowl, I added goodies and wrapped up with cellophane. Very attractive. I broke the set up and customized for each person.

My previous set of these versatile bowls was lost in our move. Heartbroken, I quickly replaced them as these bowls are without a doubt the most useful containers in the kitchen. The rigid plastic looks attractive on the table and works well for mixing or tossing.

Not only do they serve as salad servers (say for turkey, fruit or pasta salad as well as fresh green salad) but they store food and get dressed up to go to parties. If you go to potluck dinners or do a lot of picnics or barbecues, these will be your very best friends. If you have to give a wedding or housewarming present, these are sure to earn you a heartfelt thank-you note in return.

I have been looking for this bowl for a number of years. I am sure I would have found it sooner if I had had a computer. dont' think its too big, even if you are not cooking for a crowd, the size makes this thing so easy to cook without making a mess!

Good mixing bowls. Handles make holding onto easy. Deep enough to avoid splashing. Heavy-duty. Well worth the extra shipping cost.

These bowls were a great surprise! High quality for a low Friday sale clearance price to boot. Large, heavy, deep, 18/10 stainless steel (from India) for a fraction of what they would normally sell for. I've seen similar sets for $29.99 at Sam's Club and Costco. It is true that the handles make for difficult "nesting," but you can stack them off kilter. They seem to stack better upside-down, by the way. I just wish that I had purchased an extra set or two, since I had already satisfied the free shipping purchase amount in the Kitchen Store

I LOVE THIS SET! I never realized how nice it would be to have so many measuring cups - I used to have one and just wash it in between each use when measuring ingredients for cookies (or whatever else I was cooking/baking). This saves me so much time! I use the cup, rinse it out, stick it in the dishwasher.

The bowls are great - I use mine for everything from serving chips in them, to microwaving soup, to mixing, to storing.. they are wonderful and the fact that they are seethrough is a great benefit. They also do well in the dishwasher, I've had my set for many years and they still look brand new.

The measuring spoons are ok. They work, and I stick them in the dishwasher too, but I don't like the keyring design (it's good for keeping track of all the spoons though!).

Overall, 5 stars. Can't beat this great deal - where else will you get a set this good for $25?

I own an extra bowl for my 5-Quart KitchenAid Stand Mixer and it's great. When you are busy preparing a large family / Holiday meal it can be a life saver.

What a convenience to have an additional mixing bowl. When I make baked goods, invariably I need to use more than one bowl for a recipe. It sure speeds up the process by having another bowl on hand whenever you need one. The quality of this product is unparalleled. KitchenAid makes the best mixers on the market that are built to last for years. Our mixer is the favorite kitchen appliance my wife and I own! If you don't have a KitchenAid mixer, get one and an additional bowl too! You won't be disappointed.

As I do a lot of baking during the Christmas season, my KitchenAid 5 quart mixer really cuts the time and energy it takes to make a lot of cookies, and other such Christmas treats. The only thing that would be better, I thought, was an extra bowl, so I could expidite the process. My husband bought me this bowl as an early Christmas present, and I love it!!! I got through the Christmas season of baking in no time at all. I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves to bake, and does a lot of it.

I really love pyrex products, and these bowls are proof! I use them for anything and everything. They are really great for baking, lots of room to stir things. They can also be used for making pudding, jellow, storing fruit, and also for serving things like snacks. I use them so much that I am always washing them throughout my cooking that I am tempted to buy another set, so that I won't have to stop in the middle of things to wash a bowl.

I don't know where I would be without these bowls. My only complaint is that I thought the shipping through amazon.com was a little pricey, so if you can, buy them locally at a store and save on the shipping costs. Enjoy! I know you will!

I bought these bowls for myself when I got my first apartment. Five years later, they are still like new and I use them everyday!

What I like about them is that they nest nicely together for easy storage, they stand up well to standard kitchen abuse, and they are microwave and dishwasher safe. These bowls are great for mixing, storing leftovers, heating things in the microwave, serving, etc. As an added bonus, you can see through the bowls' bottoms and see if there is anything at the bottom that isn't quite mixed. If you are saying to yourself, "do I really need all three", the answer is YES, you DO! You'll see! :)

I use all of these bowls quite often! I am still compiling my serving set, and these look nice enough to use to serve chips and other goodies at parties! I also use them for all sorts of mixing and they are wonderful. I put them in the microwave all the time, to melt or heat stuff up, and so far - so good! They clean easily, nest nicely for storage. I stick them in the dishwasher all the time! I've been using them for a few years now, and they still look the same as new. Highly recommend!
