Wow! There are five different scissors for everyone who needs these. But I don't scissors, says one of friends. I tell him three reason to buy this Henckels International 5-Piece Scissors Set. 1.reason: - You have a very big paper ark, which have to divide many little pieces. Scissors saves your day! Use them and problem has forgotten!

2.reason: - Your fingertails are very long. Use a small scissors and your fingertails are comfortable short.

3. Your hair is very long and you don't have enough money for hairdresser' Don't worry! I can cut your hair but don't blame me if your new style is radical.

I had problems finding a pair of scissors when I was near the kitchen because every set got dull and rusty in no time at all. So I bought this set and am very delighted to see scissors that I can use no matter what room of the house I'm in.

The quality stainless steel construction will keep them from rusting and the kichen shears are so versatile that they do an awesome job of clipping coupons or cutting through the joints of a chicken and still ready to clip more coupons and gristle. It's taken me years to find a pair of scissors to do that!

Besides that, there are flower cutting shears, embroidery scissors and several other useful scissors in this quaility set. If you ever find yourself looking for a sharp set of scissors, do yourself a favor and buy this set! You'll be very glad you did!!

Was thrilled at the quality and cost of these five Henkel scissors. They from the start were a gift for my daughter and she is thrilled .. I now have put them on my birthday list ... want them for myself.

I'm kind of quirky - I have to get ALL the fat off of the chicken before I cook it. With a knife, my chicken usually looks "hacked up" when I'm done. With these shears, the fat is easily removed, and the chicken still looks beautiful! I highly recommend this timing saving product!

Used them for Thanksgiving. Great for carving our turkey. Easy to use. They don't slip in your hands. Good buy.

These Sabatier poultry shears have four great features (among others): (1) Made in France, by Sabatier, a 160-year-old house of cutlery design and manufacture; (2) Ergonomic--your hand doesn't get cramped from cutting up large amounts of poultry; (3) Hygienic--they go in the dishwasher, so any Salmonella or other bacteria are eliminated; and (4) Great Buy.

My J.A. Henckels's chrome-plated poultry shears are beautiful but so hard to sanitize because they cannot go in the dishwasher. Use these Sabatier poultry shears, along with a good quality boning knife, and you will never want to buy those expensive packages of cut-up chicken again.

Unlike some folks, we just keep one pair of shears in the kitchen. We started with an ancient pair of Wiss sewing scissors which eventually got rusted and gunked up so bad that they wouldn't work anymore. Since we use shears in the kitchen for many different tasks (opening packages, snipping herbs, cutting up chicken), I was determined to find a pair that would be heavy-duty enough to cut through the tough stuff, be easy to clean, and hold a decent blade. A handy feature of this product not mentioned in any of the other reviews is a serrated bottle opener (kind of like pliers) located near the handles.
We've had these shears for a couple of years and they've met all of our criteria.

These Wüsthof Grand Prix Kitchen Shears are an excellent addition to one's collection of quality knives and kitchen tools. I keep these kitchen scissors handy by storing them in a Wüsthof oak wooden slant knife block that has a special slot for them. I use them almost every day for household tasks - from opening plastic bags and cardboard boxes to cutting cheesecloth for making bouquet garni or waxed-paper rounds for lining cake tins. The handles are ergonomic, so that your hand doesn't get cramped when using them, and hygenic, so that they can be kept sanitized, since they're made from one piece of specially-molded plastic, which is the same plastic as the handles of Wüsthof Grand Prix knives. I wash my kitchen shears by hand, dry them immediately, and place them back in the knife block, so they stay relatively sharp in between professional sharpenings. They are made in Germany from the same high-carbon, no-stain steel as the Wüsthof Classic and Grand Prix lines of knives. The only drawback that I've found with these kitchen shears is that they are slightly bulky to use, as compared to Joyce Chen kitchen scissors, which I use for snipping herbs from the garden. The Joyce Chen scissors never seem to need sharpening, and they hold a keener edge than these shears. Also, I don't use these Wüsthof kitchen shears for cutting up poultry; I prefer using my J. A. Henckels chrome-plated poultry shears for that task. All in all, these kitchen shears are a good kitchen tool that will last a long time, and they are safe for use by older children, too.

I have owned these kitchen scissors for several years and they are definitely an indespensible item. I use them for everything in the kitchen, and love the sanitary nature of the blades, which come apart. I now have two dishwashers, and it is rare that they are not in one. I am ordering a second pair so they are always available!

The sissors are the best. They will cut through chicken bones. Cut Roses and more. Anything I tried to cut these sissors did the job with ease. I enjoyed them so much I have miss placed them or one of my children borrowed them and did not return them so I am ordering another pair. I used them indoors & outdoors. I will find them eventually. One of the best features is they come apart for cleaning and they can go in the dishwasher.

Wusthof's reputation for quality knives, coupled with easy cleaning, sold me on this kitchen shears.

Contrary to the description, no plastic cap or screw removal is involved... over the normal cutting range of motion, these function just like any other quality kitchen shears... but thanks to some very nice machining of the joint, they come apart if the blades are opened all the way to 90 degrees.

The bevel machined into the joint seems to clamp the blades together as the shears are reassembled, ensuring that the blades fit closely and cut well. The handle is comfortable and symmetrical, so it should fit left or right hand equally well.

Perhaps shears aren't quite so glamorous as forged knives, but this is a well thought-out product and well worth the price.

These kitchen shears are everything I was looking for. They come a part for easier cleaning, which really comes in handy when I've cut into something sticky, and will also be nice when they need to be sharpened. And best of all, they're Wusthof, so I know they're the same quality as the knife set I have. I love them- and so did my Mom- I'm buying one for her for Xmas!

Good kitchen shears. Well being honest... I don't know much about kitchen afares. I bought it for mother's day and my mom actually didn't please about my present. Don't give kitchenwares to mom by the way. They want something more gifty. Anyway, some months later, she said that she likes its usability and quallity. She said Henckels' are mostly very good and it is the case this time again, although she complained again the very fact that I got kitchen stuff for gift.

I've had the Joyce Chen scissors for at least 15 years. I use them all the time for everything in the kitchen and elsewhere in the home. Great for cleaning and cutting-up chicken, trimming vegetable, etc. Although they are not large they do not bend or warp and have stayed sharp all these years without sharpening. Always amaze me.

I highly recommend these for every kitchen.

I never got another brand of scissors after using these. Believe me, the cheap imitations aren't worth it. These cut paper, cloth, tape, light boxes, what have you and they are comfortable on the joints of the hand. They are easy to sharpen and they are frankly, the ONLY scissors I will use. Fiskars rule!

I've had mine for a while and use them frequently in the kitchen. Handles heavy work such as cutting up raw chickens. Is generally comforable to use. Separate pieces and throw them in the dishwasher to clean. The reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that the bottle opener and screwdriver are an unneeded add on, that sometimes get in the way.

Especially for people who cook alot (live to eat, rather than eat to live), these scissors are a fantastic gift. I have given at least a dozen pairs as wedding or house-warming gifts. I have had mine for eight years & they are still razor-sharp. I reach for them a dozen times each day. These would be a welcome gift for a valued staff member or an appreciated teacher, as the holidays approach. I couldn't live without mine.

These scissors are easy to clean. We have used them as a screwdriver, a bottle opener, wire cutters, and of course scissors. I highly recommend a pair of utility scissors for any kitchen. These come apart for easy cleaning, this is a great feature because it gives you an opportunity to dry the scissors very well and eliminate any bacteria growth or rusting.

We have a complete Henckels Four Star knife set put together over time. There is not a better kitchen tool set available at any price.

The Kitchen Shears were the last item we added. They compliment the knives perfectly and work just as well. Feel solid and secure in your hand and can cut everything from coupons in the Sunday paper to heavy string or plastic. Hold their edge very well.

An excellent kitchen tool.

After over 10 years of use, my Henckels shears look and function the same as the day I bought them. They have yet to need sharpening, and the semi-matte sheen of the handles is in pristine condition.

Two points to remember: Don't try to cut metal items with them, it will ruin their cutting edge, and dishwasher use is not recommended.

The blades are great for everything from plant stems to raw fish and chicken, and the tips of the blades are very sharp and will get into tight places. For instance, it's the perfect instrument for preparing artichokes, from neatly cutting the thorny tips, to getting inside to the fuzzy center.

Being left-handed, I appreciate its balance, and ambidexterousness, and I think no matter what your hand size, your fingers will fit comfortably.
A function I use a lot is the serrated inner grip for opening bottles and small jars...it does the job better than anything else I've used.

For garden, kitchen, or workplace, they will cut just about anything non-metallic, they're easy to clean, attractive to look at, and will serve you well for many years if used as intended.

Just to let you guys know, Cutco hires what they call "web solicitors" to hype up their products on sites like this. Also, Cutco is sold by Cutco salespeople only and these salespeople have an interest in bashing other knives on the net.
