A GREAT little pot!!
Have bought other small (T-Fal & Faberware) pans but this is the only one durable enough to withstand the grill. Quite handy for other small warm-ups outside and in. Very charming and rustic. A total delight to have around and an essential part of any kitchen. Great price, too!

What a handy little pan!
This is such a handy little pan! It's just the right size for melting butter, warming syrup, or keeping basting sauce hot on the grill when you cook out. And cast iron can't be beat for durability and ease of cleaning.

Another Lodge Winner
This little pan is perfect for melting chocolate or butter. It is great for making a sauce or small amount of gravy. Like all Lodge products it is very well made and a delight to use. You cannot go wrong with this product if you season it correctly when new.

Great value for the money
These pans were at a great price, and I'm very pleased. The pans are great for roasting birds, making lasagne, etc. Unlike some of the cheaper pans, the handles are very sturdy and durable. The nonstick surface hasn't chipped after many uses.

Made the girls happy
I ordered 2 sets because it looked like a good product and gave one to my wife and one to our daughter. I have never made so many points with the girls with so little. They love them

Roshco Nonstick Pans
These pans are the heaviest and most likely the best pans that I own. The large pan will easily fit a large turkey and the smaller one (still of good size) is great for lazagna, bread, and almost anything else!! I love the handles for getting the pans in and out of the oven! And...who can beat the price for a non - stick, heavy duty pan!!! I was pleasantly surprized with the quality...

Perfect!
When I first ordered this canner, I wasn't sure if I would be able to maintain a steady pressure with my "pulsating" flat-top stove. With the thick aluminum walls, I have no problems at all. In fact, with such thick walls, I can put the burner on "high" and it will slowly build up pressure so I don't have to stand over the stove and constantly monitor as the pressure increases. Once at pressure, it is very easy to maintain the required pressure without having to constantly vent off excess pressure. The owner's manual recommends one to four jiggles per minute. It takes longer for this canner to cool down than others due to the thick walls. I factor this in to my processing time. It will maintain it's pressure (15 psi) for almost another 10 minutes with the burner off. This canner is designed to fit 7 quart jars perfectly. If your looking for a canner, this is it!

What a great canner
This canner is excellent. It is very heavy, and you don't have to worry about the rubber seal because there isn't one. I bought one this year because my okra and tomatoes just wouldn't stop producing. But I have also used it as a boiling water canner for making fig jam, peach jam, pear jam...ect... I've also made pickles both sweet and dill. Comes with very clear instructions and you can begin to use it the day it is delivered - as long as you have the rest of the canning equip. Now the only problem is where to hide it so that my darling spouse won't use it every day !

The Best Cooker On The Market
I love making my own speghetti sauce and tomato sauce! My family loves homemade food. Thanks to the Wisconsin Aluminum Pressure Cooker! Thanks Elizabeth Finch

Lotsa Pasta
For a family with a child who can't get enough pasta (no sauce, just cheese), or for anyone who wants to entertain a small party, this durable 3-quart saucepan is exceptional. All-Clad makes quality cookware with professional materials and thoughtful design. The materials and weight ensure even heat distribution, non-scorching, and a cool handle. All-Clad products, I believe, offer more long-term value than other cookware: They're durable, perform well, and are surprisingly easy to clean.

There's also an All-Clad steamer insert available at a very low price. I don't have it yet, but the helpful reviews here have persuaded me that it would be a useful addition.

All-Clad Stainless 3-Quart Saucepan - My Favorite Pan!
I love this pan so much I bought 2! The 3 quart saucepan is a perfect size, I use it at least once a day. It is excellent for boiling potatoes, squash, a pound of penne, sauce, reheating some sauce and meatballs etc. It is my favorite of all my All Clad pans. It is made very well, is easy to clean, heats evenly and is designed to last. All Clad cookware is one of the most expensive lines around and it is worth every penny, it really is lifetime cookware. This saucepan is a definite must have. Very, very highly recommended! A+++!

Also, if you should get something stuck to the stainless steel use a product called "Bar Keepers Friend" to clean it. Most supermarkets have it and Kitchen Etc. and Bed, Bath and Beyond carry it too. The container (like a Comet can) is gold with blue and white writing. All Clad recommends it for cleaning stainless steel and it works like a dream and is very inexpensive.

Top of the line cookware
Heavy cast or rolled aluminum is the optimum material for pots and pans. Based on this fact, Magnalite cast aluminum gourmet cookware was the best you could get from about the 1950's through the '70's. However, there are some problems with aluminum as a cooking surface. Some foods react with it and cause discoloration; it's hard to clean, a fact that became glaringly obvious with the advent of non-stick surfaces. And there have been reported health issues related to cooking food in contact with aluminum (experts currently assess the risks as insignificant).

All-Clad is the heir apparent to the position of "creme de la creme" among cookware. The inner layer of metal is aluminum to evenly conduct heat throughout the pan. The cooking surface is stainless steel, the ideal surface because it is non-reactive, easy cleaning, and more durable than nonstick compounds. All Clad offers a variety of exterior finishes to suit your taste. Finally, this line is WELL BUILT. It will outlast anything else in the kitchen.

This may be the most expensive cookware but it's also the best. For a person who doesn't have the physical strength to handle very heavy cookware, this may not be a good choice. For anyone else who is willing to pay for it, this is what you want to cook with.

A life-saver at Thanksgiving and Christmas
The Calphalon 16 1/2 inch roasting pan is wonderful to use! This is the first of several Calphalon items I have used, and I'm now in the process of upgrading all my cookware to Calphalon.
At first I was afraid to use a surface that was not non-stick- for many years my specialty was macaroni and cheese (usually overcooked). But recently the cooking bug has hit me, so I purchased this roasting rack at the recommendation of my dad, who has a set of the professional hard-anodized.
All I can say is, I'm a convert! The price tag may be a little high, but given how much I would have spent over the years, continually buying the 5-dollar foil roasters, this will pay for itself in a few years, yet last a lifetime.
One of the best features of this roaster is the non-stick rack. I didn't want to use the non-stick roaster due to how high-maintenance non-stick is... rather heat-sensitive, the need to use care with which cleaners and utensils you use, etc.; but I also didn't relish the idea of scrubbing a regular rack. This was a breeze to clean, and the turkey came out beautifully. The large size of the pan made it easier to reach the juices, so basting was much easier.
If you really prefer non-stick products, try the non-stick Calphalon roaster. But for me, this was a great purchase. I highly suggest you buy this roaster. You won't regret it!

What Is Gravy, That Thou Art Mindful of It?
I have a heavy clad stainless steel roasting pan that costs 5 times as much as this. That little expenditure was most definately a mistake. There's something about this heavy aluminum that makes a great gravy. And clean up is just as easy as with 18/10 stainless.

May I suggest putting one carrot, one onion, and one stalk of celery in the bottom of the pan before you put your roast in the oven? I call this The Trinity, and it lends an incredible flavor to any drippings with an ambition to become gravy that they'll remember.

Can't go wrong here
Calphalon is the best all around cookware, in my opinion, especially for the money. This is the last roaster you will ever buy. The big handle make it easy to maneuver, and the non-stick rack is great. The included rack holds most anything you'll put on it. If you want a non-stick surface, that is only $... more.

Lodge at Amazon
Lodge items are great, but the delivery time on these items at Amazon is atrocious. My order from early October hasn't shipped as of early December, partly due to my having deleted an item from the order in early November. I had no idea that deleting an item would restart the over-a-month lead time on the whole order and nothing in the order changing process lets you know it or gives you the chance to "undo" the deletion..

Amazon has a great selection of Lodge products at great prices, but be prepared for a long wait and DON"T change the order.

Huge! Durable, and works fantastic.
Oh man! Now this is what I am talking about when I wanted a big skillet! I have two teenage boys that eat like a small army. I was looking for a skillet that was larger than my 12" Lodge cast iron(which I also just love). I saw this 15" and the 17" and decided to try the 15". Man this thing is just right! If your looking for a huge skillet this is the one! I love it.

Lodge does require seasoning, and a little different care. It is easy to season, and the care is pretty easy. The pan doesn't stick, and works very well. Very impressive and works far better than pans that I paid many times more than what I paid for this one. If your tired of buying pans that you have to replace every few years, handle with kid gloves, and could possibly even be dangerous to your family then look at the Lodge. I bought one pan and loved it, and now have added and are adding more. I won't look back. This stuff is the best and I will be buying more.

A must own for the gourmet kitchen or any one who just cooks
I agree with other reviews here. Cast Iron is simply the best way to cook a number of things. Its the most durable cookware you will ever own. It can not be destructed. It is also healthy as it makes the food cooked in it iron rich. Seasoned every six months or so, it retains non stick properties without any coating! It is simply amazing. The only thing you don't want to cook in it is anything containing tomatoes. Tomatoes react in the pan and get a weird taste. But everything else comes out really delicious. I specially love to use it for roasting vegetables - potatoes, okra, eggplant, zuchini etc. etc...If you have to cook or just like to cook like me, I highly, highly recommend this.

a classic for a reason
This is a common campfire cooking device. So my review will be based on camping.

Even heating and indestructability are what defines cast iron dutch ovens. Lodge is THE name in cast iron. If you have a campfire and want to cook anything besides a hotdog or marshmellow this is the way to do it.

Cast iron is prone to rust. So if you are camping in the rain expect a little orange. It comes off easily enough with a little scrubbing or some steel wool, but it is the major downside to cast iron. Oiling it helps reduce rust, but if it gets a lot of contact with water it will rust anyway.

Cast iron is heavy. Count this out if you are backpacking. I have no idea how much this weighs, but I am sure it is too much. Also if you are using one of those cute little backpacking stoves this is way to heavy to balance on them.

Overall I love to use cast iron whenever I can, but sometimes you just can't.

Our Ancestors Knew How to Cook Outside!
Dutch Oven cooking is experiencing a large revival in this country. With a small amount of charcoal briquets you can cook a roast, bake bread or cakes or make a batch of chili without heating up the house.

When it comes to the quality of the metal, design and durability, you can't beat Lodge cast iron. Try this new fad!

If you can't cook it in a Dutch oven it can't be cooked
Down here in Cajun country I use my selection of Dutch ovens and cast iron pots for gumbos, stews, jambalayas, beans, chili, desserts like cobblers and cakes, biscuits, cornbread, frying, baking, soups, etc. Heck, I've even baked pizza! Never - repeat never have I had bad luck in the outcome. CAST IRON FOREVER!!!

    Such a great product...
When I moved into my very first apartment my mom bought me a set a T-Fal cookware, and I just loved the brand. But my set didn't have a large frying pan, and while that was alright when I was cooking for myself only, I needed a bigger pan for when I cooked dinners for friends. So I bought this pan, and I coulden't be happier. It's very generously sized, nothing has ever stuck to it, and (therefore) clean-up is a breeze. This pan would be great for families, because of it's size, but is also very affordable for those of us who are venturing out on our own for the first time.

    clean-it-up
I did not know how to reach T-Fal itself so I am writing to you, one of their distributors. I found their advertisement in the November, 2002 Better Homes and Gardens magazine very offensive. I do not see how this fits in a family friendly magazine. I will be boycotting T-Fal until they clean up their act and use a more decent slogan to sell their product.

    The Best Frying Pan
This is the best frying pan I have ever bought. Nothing sticks to it, everything cooks evenly, and it is a breeze to clean. I will never buy another kind again.

    Nice pan, but small
This pan is handy for small jobs when you want to cook 1 hamburger, sautee 1/2 onion, roast some spices, etc.

It is too small to be useful for much larger jobs.

Allclad stainless sticks to things like crazy, so it is a no-no if you want a pan to use for cooking eggs, pancakes, or the occasional hash-brown in.... but that same quality makes it absolutely wonderful for making sauces out of pan drippings.

    Excellent fry pan.
This is a great fry pan. It *is* heavy, but it's an excellent pan, especially for 2-3 egg omlettes. It cleans up nicely, but it will get scratched, so be careful what tools you use with it. It came as part of a larger All-Clad stainless set, but I liked it so much, and it's very convenient size, I bought another one.

    All-Clad Stainless 8" Fry Pan
This small frypan is my main item. I cook for myself only (usually) and if anyone out there wants to try out the All-Clad line of cookware, this is the one to start with. Once you do, you, as I, will want to expand your collection of this superior product. You can get messy with it; you can make a mistake & have the heat too high, you can even leave it in the sink uncleaned for a day or two.....it will still clean up easily and look brand new. As stated in the ads, the handles really do stay cool; that's a nice change of pace! Not to mention the fact that the company is still in business; the lifetime guarantee really means something! Did I forget to say that this cookware is simply "beautiful?"

    An Apartment Dwelling Cook's Opinion
This is a very nice size griddle pan. You can cook sausage and egg breakfast for 2 or warm a tortilla for a burrito or to make rolling an enchilada easier. The pan has a nice weight to it without being overly heavy. My Apartment has an electric stove and the large burner on medium to medium-low heats this pan very evenly. It does not seem to have any hot spots, so food cooks and browns quite evenly. The high domed lid from Anolon's 12-inch stir-fry fits this griddle very well giving it even more versatility.

    Anolon is A+!
I bought a whole set of Anolon cookware and got the griddle and a chef's pan as a bonus. I love this cookware - just care for it as the enclosed directions instruct and you will have no problems. The griddle makes great pancakes, french toast, and eggs. It heats tortillas really well, also. Buy with confidence and enjoy your new cookware.

    Great Products!
With the recommended care and cautions, these products should last a lifetime. After several uses, the product still looks new. Lesser cookware's outer areas and bottom are virtually impossible to clean, even though the cooking area is OK.

If I have read correctly, Meyer will replace broken glass lids that come with some of their other products if the ring (and knob?) are returned to them. This fact makes me feel a lot better about the lids and even more positive about the company.

I like the bakelite knobs and handles; they do not require potholders for stovetop use.... However, they are limited to 350 degrees in the oven.
