Very dissapointing handles (and no spoon)
Professional handles DO NOT GET HOTI want to confirm for everyone that the Professional metal handles do not get hot at all.
The lower quality Calphalon pans come with hard plastic handles and 10 year warranties. This professional pan has a lifteime warranty. Possibly because the handle will never fall apart like plastic.

Not the right pot for steaming! The pot is beautiful, the finish shiny. The pot itself is a nice weight and boiled water quickly. However, I bought this pot mainly to steam veggies. And I found out after one use that this pot is not for steaming. The lid is so light that the steam was pouring out from all around the lid. I had moisture all over the stove, the fan hood, the wall. What a mess.
It's probably fine for ordinary cooking but in recipes where the lid needs to seal this is not your pot.

A definite must buyThis is my everyday pan and I don't know where I would be without it. I had reservations since it's not nonstick but I've had no problems--even getting the burned beans off which I'd forgotten about (to help remove them I simmered some water with tomato juice--perhaps lemon would work as well).

good pan, bad handleThis is a nice pan but it has an awkward handle. A saute pan needs a handle capable of heavy lifting and this handle is too flat for bigger hands (mine) and probably not shaped well for smaller hands either.
It is a shame that the handle designer might have been using a Korean handle design because I have not seen this handle used by Cuisinart before. I was clearly disappointed.
A great little pan from Cuisinart! This is a great little pan for small recipes that don't really require the bulk of a large saute or sauteuse pan. Perfect for making small recipes of sauce, pasta dishes, shrimp scampi, or chicken cacciatore. Never burns or scorches. Delivers everything promised and more. Easy to clean, even after really messy concoctions. The price is right, so what more could you want? This would also be a great pan to buy to *try out* the MultiClad line. It is versatile and functional, and is sure to make you fall in love with the whole MultiClad line.

pretty nice potIt is a very good looking pot. I love the look of it sitting on my stove. Unfortunately it is just too big for us as I am usually cooking for only 2 people. It would not be so bad if the insert went all the way down, but it does not. By a long way. So you end up having to put much more water than you need if you are cooking a small quantity. Otherwise it is a nice pot though.
Lots of usesWe bought this set because of the great price. I think it is a new item and therefore this is sort of an introductory price. We already have bought 3 other pots from the Multi-Clad line and love them all. Because of the multi-clad technology,it heats quickly and evenly even if its just water for pasta. The steamer
bowl is a decent size and as a bonus you get a really great 8 quart stock pot with a basket to strain most of the ingredients. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because you can't use the steamer basket without the pasta basket in the pot also.A minor inconvience but still a slight drawback.

good set for priceI am very pleased with these pots and pans. the only problem is that the outside of them is not nonstick, in fact...i can't get it clean. Love the color and the strain and pour lids! They save so much time and hassle.
Much smaller than expectedThey are easy to use, easy to clean, and look great, but the skillets and stock pot are much smaller than I had imagined. If your wanting to use the larger skillet to make a meal for more than two people than you need another.

very small:no usethey are very small and possibly i am not going to use these.therefore i am going to return these.any way they are not such a good bargain
Small but nice quality!I owned the whole set. These 2 were included. They told you the size already. Buy them if you think it's the right size for you!
I have to say that those guys are well made, well coated, and kind of solid and thick. Definately not any cheap-o you found in grocery stores. They heat up quickly and evenly! (even quicker than my Anolon skillet!)
I use them when I only cook for me and my husband. The small size were just perfect for 1~2 people. The 8-inch one works even perfectly for me to cook egg dumpling (wrapping stuff with egg as skin).
No offense but I have to say it will always comes to time when you need to use the smaller skillets.
Another beauty is they are not too heavy since they are in small size! It fits in the sink and makes clean up much more easier!!
I have use them for over a year now, it still look the same shape as the first day! I purchased Anolon Deep skillet to replace them just in case they become desfunctional. Just like that rabbit in the TV, they are still going, and going, and going..... They made me love them!!

Faberware Vintage 12-inch Nonstick SkilletHeats quickly and evenly. Cleans up great. Handles big skillet recipies great, BUT no lid. I can't locate a lid that fits it anywhere. Its usefulness is limited without a lid that fits. I would give this product 4-5 stars if it had a lid.
Great size, no lid!It heats evenly and swiftly and the sides are deep enough for a big skillet meal, but I always need a lid. None of my pan lids are big enough to fit and I can't seem to locate a matching lid. Beware! It is so big I have no where to put it! Definitely a must if you like skillet meals.

Regrettably, an impulsive purchaseI purchased this set primarily because I was amazed that the price was so low for copper-clad construction. Well, you know the old adage...you get what you pay for. While I feel that the pans are fairly well-made for the price (handles are well-attached, nothing has fallen off or become warped), the thickness of both bottoms and walls is FAR too thin. Temperature regulation is nearly impossible, and even on the lowest flame, if I don't watch food very carefully, it scorches, burns, or boils out of control within minutes. If you love copper cookware, go with All-Clad, a very pricey but unbeatable line of cookware that will last long enough to pass down to your grandkids.
I love these pansI have had them for 30 years and they are as good as new! Enough said!

A piece of garbageThis is one of the worst products I have ever come across. It is poorly made, and began to come loose after two uses. I am afraid it is going to just fall apart one day. Also, it will not let you crank the handle after the corn gets popped a third of the way up. You have to shake the popper to keep the popcorn from burning on the bottom. The whole reason I bought this machine is so I didn't have to cook popcorn like this. I may as well get out my dutch oven and use it to cook my popcorn on the stove top- at least it is constucted well so I know it won't fall apart on me.
Butter drip cupThe butter drip cup handle/hook broke on the second use. I am having trouble getting to the manufactures site. The rest of the popper is wonderful - a little too easy to burn the popcorn though.
Have owned this for a whileI have to agree with the best and worst reviews here. I accidently left the junk in the pan for a couple of days (everyone thought everyone else cleaned it)...After cleaning it throughly, I'm left with mold colored stains in the lid and bottom of the pan (and no there was no mold in the pan. It's a chemical reaction from the oils and salts). You MUST remove the lid to clean because there are parts that you are NOT going to get clean without doing that. For obvious reasons of securing the lid, removing it can be tricky.
You have to play with temperature and timing. You can't leave the popper on the stove and try to pop ALL the corn..It doesn't happen in the microwave and it won't happen here either. I have learned on my stove to take it off when cranking the handle becomes too hard to do. I keep cranking it, even when it's off the stove no matter how hard it is, wait until it's stopped popping and IMMEDIATELY remove the corn. Anyone who's done Jiffy Pop knows you have to get it out of the hot pan or it's going to scortch!
As far as any popcorn goes? I would not recommend any other popcorn then the ones available for the popper. I have tried 3 different kinds and they all burned or tasted bad. I don't know if it's the machine or the corn or what. But the popcorn that comes with the oil packets in a box of 5 was PERFECT. I am now stuck with 55 lbs of popping corn and all the fixings from Sam's Club (my husband thought it would be a nice gesture) Anyone need Popcorn?
The glass dome lid is high and I would like it, except that its handle is made of some rough metal that is uncomfortable to pick up by hand.
And also, there was no nylon spoon.
I have other calphalon with good handles. I'm going to send this one back and search for more like that. This kind of pan might look more "professional", or whatever. But, unless you cook with potholders everywhere (which I don't), it's just a pain.
