I started cooking three years ago with uncoated and low-quality-nonstick pans and was astonished at how much easier cleanup became when I invested in some T-fal cookware. I have a whole set now, including the stir-fry pan. It's slightly smaller than ideal, a stir-fry pro might find it confining, but I wouldn't trade the coating for anything.

The anti distortion disc of this stir fry pan provides a even distribution of heat that greatly facilitate the chinese style stir fry. The granite texture interior is much better than those with the honey comb texture.

I love these pans, and they do everything they say they will, with one exception. The handles are NOT heat resistant. The handle insert melted the very first time I used the large skillet in a 325 degree oven. I complained to T-Fal, and they graciously sent me replacement inserts. Their letter states:..."the style cookware you have is not oven safe; that is why the insert in the handle melted."

So cook away with glee on top of the stove, but do not use these pans in the oven!

I use the elec wok for all kinds of cooking. Its not just for stir fry. I have done roasts/turkey and other meats plus potatoes and veagies. The one I have is 17 years old and well used. I am looking to buy another one as soon as I can find one close to home. I would recomend this product to any one who loves to cook and eat great food.

I have had this wok for a few years. It continues to perform in the best quality!

I prefer an electric wok because I prefer to cook on a surface larger than my stove. I use this wok to cook at the table - the wok stir-fries vegetables hot and fresh and crisp-tender. Anyone who has been to a restaurant like Benihana appreciates an at-table cooking experience! The wok has a temperature range from 150 to 400 degrees and it adjusts temperature quickly, heating and cooling very fast. It cooks beef, fish, and chicken to tender perfection. The handles of the wok are cool-touch/no potholders needed!

The non-stick surface is a definite bonus. You can stir-fry vegetables with no fat, or a light coating of a butter flavor spray, or a misting of olive oil. It also enables you to add a minimum amount of more expensive oils like sesame. You get that tremendous flavor without excessive oiliness!

Think you will only use this wok for Asian cuisine? Think again! I have used this wok to make scrambled eggs for a crowd (it heats them quickly and they are so moist and tender), beef stroganoff, and a multitude of vegetarian dishes. The only thing I don't recommend it for is deep-fat frying. The wok is made of a thin layer of metal that is great for stir fry cooking but I find a chicken fryer with a heavier layer of steel is more suitable for deep-fat frying.

The steamer rack is great for making chinese dumplings. I've also used it to moisten day-old rolls!

I've taken this wok to church suppers and work potluck lunches. You can plug it in like a crock pot on the lowest setting (Warm/Simmer) and it will keep your food at an even temperature. I've made Barbecue Butterflied Mini Smoked Sausages in it and everyone raves about how good they taste and that they're nice and warm. The lid makes an attractive presentation, and has a cool-touch handle. The best feature about this wok is that it is fully immersible. Just remove the heating plug (the whole unit unplugs with one pull) and immerse and wash. The lid and the wok can both go into the dishwasher, but since it's nonstick it cleans up easily with a sponge and soapy water. It's a bit big to fully immerse in a small kitchen sink, but you can wipe it down quickly.

I love this wok. Do yourself a favor and buy it-it's well worth the price!

I have had a few sets of pots and pans, but none to rival these!! They are heavy duty, stainless steel of the best quality.

This is the pan that my children (and their parents) used for cooking
oatmeal, melting butter, making cocoa, heating soup, and an assortment
of other homely cooking projects. It's a great all-around pot that is
smartly designed and heavy enough to heat things evenly, but not so
heavy that carrying it when it's full will be a chore. In contrast to
French copper pots, this one has a stainless steel interior rather
than tin, and is considerably more useful, because lighter in
weight. If you occasionally forget about the rice or the oatmeal, your
pot will not be wrecked - even after hours of heat baking the
food. Soak in cold water and scrape it off - gracefully, in fact. Food
can be scrubbed off with no fear of scratching the steel. Any old
copper cleaner will polish the exterior. The lid has a loop handle, so
that it can slip over the pot's handle for easy storage. This is a
costly item, but will last forever, cleans easily, and is just plain
beautiful to look at. It's simply a great gift, and by the way
"All-Clad" products last a lifetime (and are warrantied as
such).

This pan has replaced my iron skillet and my 3 qt saucepan. With its heavy construction, it cooks so evenly; I don't have any scorching while simmering. With the interior being stainless steel, there is none of the iron taste that comes from an iron skillet reacting with food. This pan is perfect in size and depth for sauces - cooks faster than a saucepan.
All cooks need their main pan to be of this quality and it's so beautiful. With the lifetime warranty I feel secure in spending the money.

This pan is the -first- I've purchased to start my collection. It is absolutely beautiful and so easy to clean!

With cooking being my number one hobby, this collection will surely be a wonderful gift to pass down to my daughters one day.

You cannot beat All-Clad in the quality department. After using this pan for a week my family even noticed how my cooking was tastier. This pan does a fantastic job caramelizing meat and veggies. It heats very quickly and evenly. But it also cools very rapidly because the copper is a fantastic conductor of heat and cold. I like the copper core better because of the ease of maintenance. Just a little Barkeeper's Friend and it shines like new. The handle stays cool enough in most applications for me to use it bare handed. The sides are sloped just right to impress your friends with a little food flipping action. I've used it on both electric and gas stoves and was happy with the even heating of both. If you can swing the price you won't regret it.

This one piece, constructed with an copper core and aluminum layers inside the stainless steel, is so amazingly great to cook with, we use it for almost everything! It is large, so we don't need a griddle or another skillet. It has a lid, so we can make roasts and cover them in the oven. It is quite easy to clean. We have gas heat and the distribution of heat with it is nothing short of awesome. I think we use this one pan more than any other two pans combined. Get one. You won't regret it.

I have had this pan for almost a year now and I have been very impressed with its performance. It was my first piece of All Clad and I bought it because I wanted a copper pan with the maintenance ease of stainless steel. I was a bit skeptical that it would have the same temperature response that a regular copper pan has, but I'm pleased to report that it does. I can take liquids from a roiling boil down to a non-boil and back again literally instantaneously by turning the burner knob (I have a gas stove) -- the pan is that responsive. Also, the heat is conducted uniformly all the way up the sides -- you can put your finger along the top edge of the exposed copper sandwich and feel the heat transferred immediately when you turn on the burner. Since it is so responsive, you generally need to use a lower heat setting than with a regular aluminum/stainless pan or food will burn. This pan is a joy to cook with -- the shape is like a flat bottomed mixing bowl and is great for rice pilaf, lentils, and small sautes. It is well balanced and light weight enough to do real saute cooking where you toss and flip the ingredients in the pan -- and the higher sides prevent the food from inadvertently escaping. It is relatively easy to clean, although rice and lentils will leave a residue which requires Bar Keepers Friend cleanser to completely remove. Also, the exposed copper will become tarnished from heat and steam, but it is easy to clean with the cleanser. Overall, I am extremely pleased with this purchase and would recommend the Copper Core line to anyone wanting the performance of copper cookware.
