This is large enough for serving 12 people I alsi purchased the matching bowls,very beatiful set.I used it for a chili party.We have a large extended family and this will be useful.The color is a deep cobalt blue,I have other Emily Henry,they do not chip I wash by hand but you can put them in the dishwasher and the freezer.

This is the most important and vital kitchen accessary I have ever had. This state of the art pressure cooker is a time saver and food saver. The info from the company is excellent for anyone who likes to cook no matter what your skills are. I didn't know a thing about pressure cookers until I got this one and it has been so easy and safe to use. I was always afraid of the old stories I had heard about some much pressure in them and they would blow up, but this has so many saftey features, even someone with very little knowledge can use this product and get rave reviews about their meal. With their handy little cookbook you can do anything! This product is a miracle and I suggest it for anyone.

After using an old style Presto pressure cooker for a number of years I had decided to check out the new technology pressure cookers. I did some reading at my local library and discovered two things.

First, the new cookers with their pressure release valves are much quieter than the traditional cookers that had a weight sitting on tipe of a small pipe (this weight is what made the hissing jiggling noise when the cooker reached 15 lbs. pressure.

Secondly, the new technology cookers are much better suited to cooking grains and legumes than the old cookers are. The new safety valves are much more clog resistant than the old weighted cookers.

So long story short, I purchased this cooker one week ago and have used it four times so far. I have made a wonderful Jerked Pork loin from the Carol Heding Munson cookbook, "Smart Pressure cooking." I have cooked some lovely veggies and a fantastic veggie stew from the same book.

Cleanup is a breeze, but most importantly, the cooker is wonderfully quiet. The first time I used it, I didn't even realize that the cooker had come to full pressure. Rather than listening to the hissing jiggling sound of old pressure cookers, all you hear is the slight hiss of a little bit of steam escaping. (the volume is much less than the sound of something browning in a skillet.

Finally, the cooker is well made of heavy weight stainless steel, easy to operate - I completely recomend this product.

The one drawback is that directions although understandable, are obviously written and then translated into many languages so they are not particularly engaging. (This is more a stylistic rant from an old tech writer than anything else)

I happened to purchas Fagor Multirapid Plus 10-Quart not long ago. When I bought this lid, I thought it would work on both of my 6-Quart and 10-Quart pressure cookers since it stated " Fits ALL Fagor pressure cookers" under "Features". It turned out that it did not fit the 10-Quart. The lid just dropped to the bottom of my 10-Quart pressure cooker. This is a great item to own if you have 6-Quart or less pressure cooker. If you have 10-Quart pressure cooker, you are looking at the wrong lid. It's too small for the 10-Quart, therefore it does not fit ALL Fagor pressure cookers. Other than the misleading information, it's a fairly priced and good quality product.

I have 6-Quart Duo for 4 years. My highly demanded beef stew has outgrown the 6-Quart. Fagor makes great pressure cookers and I find the user friendly design a plus. The price on this pressure cooker was another element I found hard to resist.

After some debate I bought this set, because it appeared to be a nice set. I was worried, though, because the "what's in the box" did not match the picture. I am happy to report that it does come with the small pot (teflon) that you can use with the pressure lid, glass lid, steamer basket and pasta basket. It is a great value. Fagor is a reputable brand, and the Multirapid plus includes 2 settings for pressure.

I have bought the 6-quart Splendid sometime ago and liked it so much that i bougth this one too. The 6-quart i got is belly-shaped while this one is not. Other than that, it has the same same features. Shiny stainless-steel body with nice thick base. Very easy to use - one pressure setting and no more removable thing on top that jiggles (which can easily be misplaced or lost). When pressure inside is reached, a small yellow indicator pops out, thereby helping me accurately time the cooking and adjust the heat. I am pleased with the safety locking handles and the pressure release valve. And if I would need to replace the rubber ring, I can order it online too. Highly recommended!

I like purchasing faberware products..yet again they have out done themselves...

This is a huge pot. It may look small in the picture, but it's 4 gallons, so it'll fit a lot of food. It'd be great for lobsters, I suppose, but if you are not inclined as to boil live animals, this pot is great for stews, soups, and chili. It's really big, but it has an extra thick bottom that distributes heat evenly, so no spot gets heated more than another making for good stews. Left on very low heat, it can pretend to be a slow cooker. Also, it's made of stainless steel and no food sticks to its sides or bottom. I highly recommend it.

As for the additional utensils it comes with - I wouldn't buy the pot just for those. The bibs are made of plastic and the picks and the shell crackers are not (and even don't look like they would be) of high quality.

Overall, though, this is an excellent pot. I got it on sale I'm really happy with it.

this pan retails for 20.00 and i got it at the friday sale for 9.99 at that price i should have bought 2 of them. the great thing about it is my food no longer sticks it slides right out and cleanup is a breeze i urge everyone out there get yours today dont delay buy today!!! wanda franklin va.
