I received this set today and put it to work right away! Straight out of the box, I was impressed with the professional quality of this cookware. These are sturdy pots and pans with wonderful heavy glass lids that I should never have to replace. I chose this set for five reasons: 1)It had three saucepans, a 10" skillet and a 12" skillet. If you have a large family, this is a must. 2)The hard anodized non-stick coating has a lifetime warranty. 3)Glass lids allow me to monitor what I'm cooking without lifting the lid. 4)KitchenAid brand--the quality speaks for itself. If you don't have a KitchenAid stand mixer, I can't recommend it highly enough. 5) Amazon offers this set at a great price and FREE shipping. Can't beat it.
That said--a couple of items worth noting that aren't mentioned in the description:
This set is not dishwasher safe, but that really isn't a problem since nothing sticks to it. It cleans up very easily. When storing these pots and pans, place a towel between items to prevent scratching.
This is a great set and I look forward to using it for many, many years to come.

this pan is actually more versatile than a 2 qt saucepan because of the sloped sides and slightly greater capacity. perfect pan for making hollandaise. i think this pan is better made than the all clad limited series. also looks prettier. handle stays cool.

Wow!!! I have been looking forever for a DEEP casserole pan as all I have been able to find previously were shallow Pyrex pans. This is the most perfect pan I have ever seen. It has a processed hard anodized aluminum core exterior and an 18/10 stainless-steel cooking surface (which keeps the aluminum away from your food, but allows it to heat evenly!). This pan is 14 inches in diameter and 6-1/2 inches deep. It is the deepest pan I have seen. Perfect for beef stews with dumplings on top or for Shepherd's Pie! This is a beautiful pan as it has a polished marble look to it that is scratch and stain resistant. The large domed lid is stainless-steel as are the handles. I can imagine this pan being in our family for a lifetime. With the KitchenAid reputation and limited Lifetime Warranty, I know I will enjoy using this pan for many years to come.

I have been lusting after this pan for a long time. I work at a kitchen store, and am familar with most of the top of the line brands available. Above all of the others, I love the Kitchenaid cookware. I received this 8 qt stock pot as a Christmas present from my (ever so wonderful) sister... I insisted on making the Christmas porridge in it the next morning. I am so happy. This pan heats stunningly well and evenly, and there is so much room! The lid is one of my favorite features. It has such a deep draw, it will never boil off. This is an excellent addition to any cookware set, and at least a piece of Kitchenaid is necessary for any really passionate cook. Try one, you'll want them all! I know I do... Next, the 5 qt. saute!

I had a set of these pans years ago when I lived in Switzerland, and have wanted to buy a set after moving home again, but didn't think I'd find them.
You can steam vegetables in these without any water but what clings to them after washing. Robust natural flavors really come out when cooking this way. The pan itself is remarkably light because there's a hollow core between the two walls of the sides (which insulates & keeps food hot after you take it off the stove). Best of all, they all come with snap on bottom/trivets, so you can take the pan directly to the table from the stove.

Does an excellent job of cooking whatever you put in it without drying the food out. Chicken, steaks, fish, shellfish, everything, comes out moist and flavorful. Gives the appealing appearance of grill lines without the drying effect of the outdoor grille. I really enjoy cooking with this grill, and often choose recipes based upon being able to use the grill.

I am the biggest bargain shopper on the planet and have held off buying Le Creuset because of the price (and I thought they were too heavy). I finally bit the bullet and bought a couple pieces and am now a total Le Creuset worshipper!! I seriously recommend upgrading to the "all surface" (heavier) pieces rather than just the bakeware/microwave pieces. Having the ability to pan sautee something on the stove top and then pop it directly into the oven is a fantastic timesaver and you have less to wash. My mother covets my Le Creuset collection and so I am surprising her for christmas with this 11" oval (my favorite of the bunch) for her very own. Because they are of such high quality materials they should last a very long time, if not forever. As long as you don't drop it on a concrete garage floor like I did (it now has a crack but is still usuable), it's a great investment and worth every penny!

This is indeed a large pot, but I have found it extremely useful and use it at least once a week. I didn't want a large number of pots and pans, so I looked for versatile pieces. We are just 2 in our household right now, but I bought this size mostly because it will be even more useful for the future - a family, company. I use it to cook many things that I start on the stovetop and finish in the oven. For example, to brown chicken pieces on the stovetop, add herbs, ingredients, etc, and bake it in the oven. The heavy tight fitting lid keeps the steam locked in and the food moist. I bake entire chickens in it when I am short on time (skin isn't very crispy, though)- it really cooks a whole 4-lb chicken in about half an hour at 450 degrees with the pot and oven preheated. Works great with chili, soups, beans, tomato-based sauces, even jams. The cast iron heats slow and holds heat in - I don't burn anything in this. Clean-up is so easy!

I just bought this wok, and I can't believe how great it is. The heat distribution is excellent and cleaning is a breeze. I have used two other woks, both with non-stick surfaces, and they both took at least five minutes to scrub clean. With the Le Creuset wok I was just able to wipe the wok and it was clean. Another advantage this wok has over non-stick coated woks is that it doesn't wear out. My last non-stick wok only lasted 6 months using it about once a week. I think this wok will last forever. Highly recommended!
