I LOVE this pot! It's just the right size for so many tasks, and with 2 stay-cool handles it's easy on the wrists, secure to move to sink or elsewhere, and takes less room on the stove than a typical large saucepan with a long handle.

For boiling smaller quantities of pasta, I find this pot ideal: it pours easily and comfortably into a colander, and the nonstick surface cleans up without a hitch (i.e., no left-behind sticky gluten that's hard to get off).

A BIG added bonus: as well as fitting the Scanpan 8" frypan, the lid also fits perfectly on the 8" omelet pan that tops the LeCreuset 2-qt multifunction pan.

In addition to this pot, other Scanpan pieces are "naturals" because of their ability to tolerate high heat and metal utensils: the wok, the grill pan, and the rectangular roaster.

I got this pot about a month ago and I just love it. The non-stick surface is great. I use this pot almost every day (both on the stovetop and in the oven) and wash it in the dishwasher and the surface is still as good as new. It is good for cooking anything - from soup to fried fish. I also love the design of the pot - the cover is very light and the bottom is nice, flat and thick. The food cooks evenly without "hot spots". And the way it is designed - ergonomic describes it very accurately. This is my favorite pot by far. Very expensive but well worth it. I will never buy another brand again - in fact I plan on buying a Scanpan frying pan to replace my Teflon one that is all scratched up (as soon as I save some money - lol).

Amazing set of cookware! I received the set as a wedding gift. I must say i love it. I plan on hanging them on display,they look that nice!

I have this pan now for about a year and it outperformed all others I have. It is very easy too clean. I use it for omelets and many other things. I consider it an all purpose pan. I've not done anything special to make things work out. I just use it without any extra fuss.
Do something good for yourself. Buy this pan.

I reluctantly spent the money on this pan after I had some dental surgery and was on a diet of eggs and pudding and was tired of trying to clean my scratched and supposedly "non-stick" frying pans. I'd have to say it was probably the best investment I've made. I love this pan!!! Nothing sticks to it. Cleanup of even eggs is a breeze! I use it on almost a daily basis! I plan on eventually replacing all my cookware with Simply Calphalon; I've been so impressed!

I'm no cookware snob or pro chef -- I'm just replacing some of my old stuff, and I have to say that I have been favorably impressed with this saucepan and other items in this line. It has a really nice weight (not too light/not too heavy), it heats evenly, and cleans up like a dream -- even when I made cranberry sauce in it...and you know how sticky that can get! The handle stays cool, and if you're hanging it on a hook like I did, the lid slides onto the handle for storage -- no loose lid to look for!

This is a great everyday piece of cookware and I recommend it highly.

Mom has no complaints. Likes the fact that the handle stays cool.

I have owned my fair share of indoor grills, from a Foreman grill to a really heavy grill pan which I ordered through Amazon. Not too long ago I recently acquired the Calphalon grill pan because my Foreman grill is too small if I want to cook a piece of meat and some vegetables at the same time. Plus the black coating on my Foreman grill is wearing out. So I bought the Calphalon grill pan when it was on sale at a local department store. I haven't been able to get enough of it. It is so easy to clean even when I had cooked a piece of meat that was marinated in Italian dressing or in my own concoction of ground fennel seed, garlic, shallots, and extra virgin olive oil. The marinade will of course stick to the grill which is expected however cleaning it off the grill pan was so much easier than my last grill pan which was heavy and difficult to clean because it wasn't non-stick. I also like using the Calphalon grill pan because I can cook both the meat and vegetable (say asparagus) at the same time. The results are fabulous. I get those wonderful grill marks and grill taste. Although it is a bit big for this apartment dweller, I still consider this grill pan the best of all the indoor grills I have owned. Well worth the money too.

I received this, and many other pots and pans when we moved into our new apartment. I use THIS one more than any other. It is GREAT!!! I use it to grill vegetables, make omlets, scramble eggs, make potato pancakes, regular pancakes, stir-fry veggies & rice, and NOTHING sticks!! Even the most sticky foods, potatoes, eggs, pancake batter, and rice, don't stick! I hate washing dishes, having to scrub a pan after cooking a nice meal, but all it takes to wash this pan is hot water and a sponge and a few quick wipes. Just be sure not to put it in the dishwasher because the detergent can impair the nonstick surface over time. HIGLY recomend! :-)

I use this "pot" for soups, its very durable and heavy the helper handle gets hot if your in a hurry.Its great, makes plenty of food for guests and its sooo easy to clean. For this price, you can finally replace those rusty pan yours
