Beautiful and practicalThe large pot is perfect for boiling pasta, making soups, etc. and it's tall enough that nothing spills over. The handles of the large pot heat up a little bit during cooking, but not very much. The handles of both pots and pans are pretty comfortable.
The lids are quite ingenious - as advertised, when turned upside down on the kitchen counter, they can be used as a place to rest the utensils used during cooking.
In addition to the usual use of the pans, I found that the small pan is excellent for making crepes and the large one is great for cooking risotto. Both pans can also be used in place of a griddle since they don't require much (if any) oil to function properly.
One of the best features of the set is that everything can be cleaned extremely easily. If one is careful not to use metal utensils that can scratch the surface, then everything can look as good as new even with continuous use.
One word about the utensils provided -- I didn't find them very useful since they are made of some plastic that heats up if you are stirring things continuously and can be easily ruined. I find that using standard wooden utensils works a lot better.

An affordable quality cooking set

One of the best gifts I ever received1. We used to live in a cold climate where the power regularly went out during the winter. We'd huddle downstairs by the fireplace, waiting for the powerlines to be restored from yet another ice storm. I would often make a stew or rice dish in the Nissan and we'd be ready for bad weather. You can heat up the ingredients for a stew in the inner pot even over a Primus (camping) stove.
2. And for camping, same thing. We'd cook breakfast over the Coleman stove, and while we ate, I'd stir up a beef stew. You only need to heat the ingredients to a boil and do that for about five minutes. Then I'd pop the inner pot with the stew-to-be into the insulated shell, and we'd go off fishing or motorcycling for the day. When we all came back to the campsite, tired and hungry, a hot dinner was waiting, all cooked and ready to serve. No one could believe how we could cook gourmet food out of an ice chest, on the camp stove.
3. This is equally good for church suppers, potlucks, going out for the day and not needing to attend the cooking. And for summer, this reduces the heat in the kitchen. Also nice for motorhomes.

- Sleek, low-profile electric tray keeps food warm at table or buffet
- Black, shatter-resistant glass surface spreads heat evenly, wipes clean
- Adjustable thermostat, with range of 150-250 degrees F
- Tray's ¿hot spot¿ heats 40 degrees F hotter for coffee, soup, sauces, hot dips
- 21-1/2 by 11-1/2 inches; 3-year warranty against defects

VERY USEFUL AND ATTRACTIVE
