How did I ever live without this?
I must admit I was skeptical in owning a pot rack, how would it look with pots on it etc. But alas my lack of space and remodeling my kitchen allowed me to try this out. I looked for pot racks for a long time researching on the web. I find this to be a huge space saver, and it holds my heaviest Le Creuset, and cast iron skillets etc with no problems. Just use balancing principals, offset one side heavy pan opposite side heavy pan etc. Very easy. I had to buy extra chain to come down from my high ceiling and had a professional hang it for me so I have no worries of it coming down. He measured it so it would be within my reach. What a joy, and easy to get pots off and put them back on. The hooks hold well, which was another concern of mine. In no way is it an eye sore even with ugly beat up pans.
A purchase well spent. If you love to cook you'll want to buy extra hooks. Highly recommended.

Pefect partner with the cookware sets
My Aunt was getting married and someone had beat me to the punch in buying her the Calphalon Cookware set she desired. As I looked over her list I did not see a pot rack on it. I could not imagine getting such a lovely set of cookware and putting them in a cabinet. So I bought her one of these babies. She was thrilled. She had wanted a pot rack, but was not buying a house for about a year, so she was going to wait. House is bought and rack is up with lovley Calphalon pots and pans glistening from the ceiling. She loves it. I plan to get one myself, when I have the room. I already have many Calphalon pots and pans. The price is much better than what I have seen at the department stores.

Elegant and classy, yet practical.
The Calphalon Oval Pot Rack is just perfect for mid-sized, or large, kitchens. The brushed aluminum styling is identical to that of the Calpahalon pots and pans and will complement them nicely. Once installed you will find that it is not only a classy addition to your kitchen, but also very practical. My only complaint about this pot rack is the absence of mounting hooks, which you will need to get at your local hardware store (I got mine at Lowe's Home Improvement.) You DO NOT need to have this rack professionally installed if you are willing to climb on a ladder and feel comfortable drilling holes into your kitchen ceiling. Installing this pot rack is quite easy, and should not take you more than 30 minutes. Assembly of the rack will take you 10 to 15 minutes (the rack comes in 4 or 5 parts.) It took me about 15 minutes to choose a location, find two suitable studs, drill two holes and screw in the two hooks. My recommendation is to get yourself a stud finder, if you don't already own one, and use that to find two studs to drill into. Also, if you buy this rack, make sure you buy additional pot hooks, because once you start hanging your pots, you will want to hang all of them, and this rack does not come with enough hooks!

Great pot rack!
I love this pot rack. I have a small kitchen and this really organized my space! It held all of my pots/pans and has room at top for additional items (extra lids, cookbooks, etc). I love it.

Love it!
I searched around for a pot rack for ages, but didn't want to spend a lot of money. In the end I persuaded Santa to bring me one for Xmas. I love this rack, lots of room to hang and you can put your books on top too. It looks really classy too, which you want after buying all the bargain Calphalon pots here!!!!

The Best Pot Rack
I highly Recommend this rack, it is quite beautiful and pleasing to the eye once all the pots are arranged. This rack is very strong and sturdy, it holds all of my very heavy Calphalon pots and I use the top shelf to display my decorative bottles and some of my pot's glass cover. I have never been this much pleased with a product purchased online, if you've ever wanted a pot rack this is IT . I guarentee you will be very please.

Mounted properly, it will hold pots
Furthering the debate on the applications of the hanging tool rack..

Mounted properly to a secure point, the hanging rack can hold pots and pans without a problem. The weakest possible point on this structure will be the fastening points of the rack to the wall.

The hooks are stronger than pretty much anything that can be screwed in to the holes. The strength of the rack itself couldnt possibly be in question, its made of 18/10 stainless steel, you would need 100's of lbs of force to bend it. The rack is easily capable of holding pots and pans on every hook that weigh 10+ pounds. Maybe it was not designed to hang items as wide as a pan but this does not mean you cant buy 4 racks and still do it, they are very good looking.

Just because its called a "Hanging Tool Rack" doesnt mean you cant hang on it anything that can be hooked, everything you buy has a suggested use. Buy it and do what you like, bolt it to the wall in the garage and hang hammers on it, wont hurt my feelings!

NOT A POT HANGER!
Despit what another reviewer says of this product--it is NOT a pot hanger--it is a TOOL (fork, spoons, whisk, turner, etc) HANGER. It has six hooks for tools--you can get more directly from ALL CLAD ($5 for 4 additional hooks). The finish on the rack is pure ALL CLAD, first rate. However, the finish on the hooks is not quite up to par. But do not let that stop: with tools on it you cannot see the hooks. While it is great for hanging the teriffic ALL CLAD tools, don't even think about hanging pots/pans on it-that is NOT what it is designed for.

BINGO! No more falling pots and pans!
I have looked all over for a hanging pot rack that had the hooks somehow attached to it, so they wouldn't keep falling off. Well, only Amazon.com had it!!! BINGO -- EXACTLY what I was looking for. I wasn't for sure if it was going to fit the space I had for it, but ordered two, and it's going to work well in my kitchen. I like that is all-clad stainless steel and dishwasher safe, just for me to keep it looking nice. If you're tired of pots falling on you, this is the item to get. The hooks actually have a hole at the top so you slide the hook onto the rack and the design of the rack holds it away from the wall. What a FIND! I can't believe after all this time I found what I was looking for! Thank you Amazon. I couldn't be happier with my purchase, except I think I need to order just one more. :) After all I have a lot of pots and pans to hang! :)

We LOVE our CUSTOM Calphalon Pot Rack! (We put 2 together)
We moved into a converted Art School in a wonderful upscale urban area in Pasadena between Cal Tech and the South Lake Shopping district. Our space encompasses the former art studio (with a great northern wall of glass windows slanting inward at the top), a classroom and an office. The great room is approximately 45' X 25'. The kitchen was carved out of one end of the great room and is approximately 16'X 25' and the open-beamed ceiling is about 14' at the lowest and 18' at the highest end with a skylight strategically placed to bring natural light in over the cooking area. Having no cupboards, we had to get creative with storage, so we decided on a potrack. We looked for weeks for just the right pot rack. Most were just too small, or wouldn't hold all the pots, pans and gourmet gadgets we had in combining two hoseholds into one. Some were large, but not sturdy. Some were too fancy and others were not the right color or material.

We decided we would need to build one with the dimensions and strength we would need. Then we found the Calphalon pot rack at Bed, Bath and Beyond in East Pasadena! The price was right, it was the right color, looked just industrial-strength enough and was certainly sturdy enough to hold all we had to put on it! It wasn't quite large enough for our huge space, so we bought two. The center island is more than 6' long. We assembled the rack by using all the sections of one and two more sections of the second one. The curved ends of the second one were attached to the center island preparation table/storage unit to bring the rack and table together (that brought the island to over 7' in length, so the extended potrack is perfect!!) and the rack was suspended from the ceiling with strong chain and hooks purchased at the hardware store -- we hung them at the ends and in the middle straight up with six (6) hooks to make sure it was level and didn't sway. We use the curved ends with hooks on them to hold towels, oven mitts, utensils, etc. We also got gift certificates for Calphalon cookware as a result of the purchase amount, and used it to purchase some new cookware to proudly display on our new rack! It instantly became the focal point of what rapidly became a gourmet kitchen - my dream kitchen realized. Thanks for making it so!

Stylish Accessory for the Larger Kitchen
This Calphalon 20 x 56-Inch Anodized Aluminum Oval Pot Rack is the largest-sized hanging pot rack in their line. It looks quite stylish in an open kitchen when it is filled with matching anodized aluminum Calphalon pots and pans and other cooking accessories. However, even though this rack is mounted close to the kitchen ceiling, it would be difficult to walk underneath it without hitting one's head on something hanging from it unless one has very high ceilings. I hung mine at the end of a large butcher block island, out of the flow. If I did not have a large light fixture in the ceiling, I would have put it over the butcher block itself.

When one mounts this rack from a ceiling, using the included chains, it helps to use a Zircon studfinder to locate ceiling studs, which are usually 16 inches apart. Next, one can use an electric drill to make starter holes, and then install large eyebolts or screw hooks into the studs. One can use either 2 or 4 eyebolts or screw hooks, depending on how heavy the items on your rack will be. (There are other ways to accomplish this task, but I am only saying how I did it!) Then one can hang the chains on the hooks or use large "s" hooks to connect the chains to the eyebolts. The pot rack should be hanging level at this point.

Now one can begin to add Calphalon pots, pans, accessories, and other items to the pot rack. Place hanging hooks evenly around the rack. (I used more single, double, and spacesaver hooks added to the 6 single and 2 double hooks that come with this rack.) Place cookware on the rack one item at a time, alternating ends, so that the rack stays balanced, and be careful not to exceed the weight limits, as specified by Calphalon. I love to use my rack for French roasters and roasting racks, omelet pans, stockpots and steamer inserts, lots of long-handled utensils, a large old blackened wok, and several antique French and Italian specialty items. I place lighter things on top of the crossbeams of the rack, too, such as bamboo steamer inserts and top for the wok. Have fun with organizing this pot rack!

Excellent Product!!
As a Pampered Chef consultant, I too, am very concerned with keeping my non-stick cookware safe, and this is just the product for that! My 10 pc. set and 6 open stock peices ALL fit on this rack with ease! It has adjustable heights and is so very easy to install! I love that it can be put just about anywhere! It has sure cleaned out my cabinet space and now all my cookware is easily accessable! My lids hang on the hooks as well. I would like to have more hooks, but it comes with a lot. I highly recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a sturdy out of the way place to store any of their cookware and utensils, that still is fashionable. For the price, this can't be beat!!

Love this Item, Heavy Duty, Functional and Attractive!
I bought this product through Amazon after shopping eBay and finding higher prices on the same exact item. The hardware was all included and it looks very nice. It's very heavy duty and functional and I was very pleased with the appearance and functionality. I am a Pampered Chef consultant and I love knowing that my expensive professional cookware is safe from scratches and the glass lids I store above the grid. Now I just need to figure out where to get Extra Hooks for this model, and I would be very pleased. I highly recommend this item.

Great Value - Looks Good - Easy to Install
I am very pleased with this pot rack. I originally wanted the chrome-style rack, but since this was such a good price, I went with the white coating. Not a mistake. It looks very nice in my kitchen, perhaps better than the chrome would have. It was very easy to install. The only thing that would have made it easier was to provide a rectangular 16x18 cardboard template for positioning the screws. The cardboard they included with the hardware was almost, but not quite the right size. I had to cut another piece out myself. This made it easy, because I could just tape it to the ceiling and drill a hole at each corner. The rack is very sturdy and my pots look great on this rack. I recommend ordering an extra set of hooks along with the rack.

The best pot rack value I have seen
I needed to find room for all of my pots and pans because my kitchen cabinets were bursting at the seams (not a pretty sight). I looked at a number of racks and found a large range in prices for relatively similar products. The Rogar was definitely one of the best values that I could find. The only real difference from the higher priced brands is, that the Rogar, in some cases may be a tad bit lighter weight, using slightly thinner stainless steel bands that hold the hooks. The Rogar is by no means cheap or flimsy. It is very well built and can hold heavy pots and pans. My whole collection of All Clad pots and pans (heavy stuff), plus a few extra odd's and ends are happily hanging on the Rogar rack. Rogar also includes an order form for extra pot hooks of various styles and extra chrome chain for hanging if you have an extra high ceiling. Over 10-11 feet, you may need extra chain. Another consideration is lighting. A pot rack may block some of your light. My rack is over my island counter and there has been a slight degrading of the lighting on the island countertop. Over all, it has been an excellent purchase. If I move to another house, and need a pot rack, I will definitely buy another Rogar.

Great Pot Rack for Small Kitchens
This new and improved Calphalon 12x24-inch Anodized Aluminum Half Round Wall Rack is perfect for use in a small kitchen. I mounted it with a molly bolt into the kitchen drywall and a wood screw into a stud. I used a Zircon electronic studfinder to find the stud. (Usually wall studs are 16 inches apart, so you will probably only be able to mount the rack onto one stud. Because this pot rack only has two mounting holes, I used a molly bolt for the other hole.) The wall rack must be well secured to the wall because the Calphalon pots and pans are quite heavy. This rack comes with 4 hooks, but you'll probably want to order more. I use hooks on the wall rack to hold long serving spoons, both slotted and plain. I hang hard-to-store items on the rack, like my wok and french roaster and rack, as well as my most frequently used items, such as my omelette pans. I was surprised at how useful and attractive this rack was in my small kitchen. If you move often, you might want to take a polaroid picture of your stocked wall rack so that you can easily duplicate your arrangement in your next kitchen.

Buy Several Double Pot Rack Hooks
The Calphalon Double Pot Rack Hook works well on the "cross beams" of the Calphalon wall rack and hanging racks. You can use them to hang two omelet/frying pans back-to-back or as Calphalon suggests, a pan with its lid. For the wall rack, I recommend buying 2-4 double hooks; for the hanging racks, where you have more room, buy as many as you think you might need. It takes time and planning to get your hanging arrangement the way you want it. As your collection of Calphalon grows, remember to order extra pot hooks too!

Great!
The size is great. I can fit around 15 pots on it with room to spare. This was extremely easy to assemble. Hanging was a slight pain. It didn't come with the necessary hardware to mount it to the ceiling. It came with the chains, but not the final piece. I expect it's probably a liability thing. Nevertheless, a quick run to Home Depot remedied that. I get complemented on the rack constantly. Looks great!!!

Absolutely A Great Rack
After very thorough research I selected this pot rack as the very best & a tremendous value. It looks absolutely great in my kitchen and I was able to empty a large lower double cabinet loaded with pots & pans & lids etc. Which were continually scattered. What a tremendous difference! Everything is right there at eye level. Everyone who sees it, wants to have one. A fairly high cieling is a good idea and measuring beforehand is smart. It can store alot of items in an easy, convenient fashion. It MUST be secured to a good beam or better, a floor joist...you might want a pro to do that if the beams are concealed. My copper rack holds about 30 various pots and pans, and lids, and sizzle platters and everything. Maybe about 150 lbs. And beautifully & functionally. 5 STARS

Quality at an incredible price
I purchased this rack sight unseen with some trepidation. Mine is the 36 x 18 Chrome model and I could not be more impressed. Easy to assemble with only the installation of ceiling anchors being somewhat difficult for the average person. These must be anchored to a beam in order to support the weight.

I have owned other pot racks and shopped extensively in design stores and on the web for similar products and I have to say that there is, in my opinion, nothing better designed, engineered or constructed close to this rack at even double the price.

I recommend that you measure carefully being buying and use a stud finder or other device in order to ensure that you can hang this heavy rack as location will be dictated by the beams running across your ceiling. Hopefully you will find one that runs across and then location will be easy. Otherwise remember beams are located on 16" centres and once you find one the other will be located directly above the second hanging hook of the rack.

Buy this product........you will not regret it.

Does the job
This pot rack is a heavy duty iron pot rack with a large storage capacity. When it arrived, I could barely lift the package by myself. Working together with my father-in-law, we had it assembled and installed in about an hour using a screw driver and pliers (not included). The assembly instructions were clear, so we had no goof-ups. I've got my pot rack mounted over an island that divides my kitchen from my dining room, where it provides a good visual separation of the two areas without blocking communication between them. It also has excellent storage capacity- -it holds all of my cooking pots and frying pans as well as their lids. I keep some of my extra-large bowls in the rack on top.

Since I'm only 5' 2", I get quite annoyed with most kitchen cabinets because they all seem to be too high to be of any use to me. But with this pot rack, the pots all hang down where I can reach them, yet they're still high enough so that my 6' tall husband can work at the island counter beneath the pots and not bump his head. To reach items on the top rack, however, I need to get a chair because it's about 7' off the ground. If the rack were hung any lower, then the hanging pots would get in the way of the counter, so you really need at least an 8' ceiling to use this rack properly.

I've been quite satisfied with the quality of this pot rack. The price was about a quarter of the one that our kitchen designer had originally selected for us. I can't imagine what extra features the luxury brand might have brought us because I don't see where this one has cut corners in looks or sturdiness at all.
