Nice knives but ...be careful
Good low cost product
The best set of stainless steel knives I've owned so far.
- Special serrated edge never needs sharpening
- Three-piece knife set: 8-inch chef's, 5-inch utility, 3-inch paring
- High-grade, rolled stainless steel capable of withstanding extreme stress
- Polypropylene handle is impact and shock resistant
- Dishwasher-safe, but hand washing preferred
List price: $45.00 (that's 44% off!)

If Only....My wife brought these into our combined kitchen (she loves them)so I use them once in a while but on soft items like raw chicken they just pull and make a mess.
I have some Nice henkles that I brought that live in the closet in the other room, when ever I am doing anything in the kitchen I take the walk to get them, Sharper and Safer IMHO then the eversharps. Plus the eversharps do not fell right in my hand...
Nowhere near as good as genuine Wusthof or Henckels...

Bad Fit &FinishThe price for a set of this quality should be around ..., about half the current price.
The quality control of these items is, probably, not very good.
A Nice set for the fprice
Great buy - Great knives
- Ergonomic, Good Grips handles
- Nonslip rubber grips, wet or dry
- Paring knife has sharp, tapered blade; great for small jobs
- Mini chef's knife is sharp, easy to handle

room for improvement
Low Quality, OXO Knives Generally Poor QualityNow, I love knives and have the finest forged German and French knives. I've come to appreciate knive quality and this is not it. These knives do not have a full tang or a bolster. They are pressed junk in an ergonomic rubber grib. It's like they stuck a cheap knife in a kitchen utensil handle.
Instead of this junk, look at a low end set of Farberware knives. Be sure and get the "FORGED" set. Most Farberware is not forged but the forged stuff seems to always win best buy in Consumer Reports. If you don't want to spend the 50-70 bucks for the Farberware Forged line go for some low end Sabatier pressed or drop forged knives (all made in China not France at this price range)or Henkels Eversharp (pressed but dishwasher safe) for probaby fifty to under twenty monetary units.
Shape of mini-chef is a pleasure.
- 5 kitchen knives, sharpening steel, solid North American maple block
- Knives are chef's; slicing; utility; serrated utility; paring
- High-carbon stainless steel blades
- Nonslip, contoured, pressure-absorbing, full-tang rubber handles
- Dishwasher-safe but not recommended

Disappointingbeen very disappointed with it. Our experience was almost
identical to that of Roy Sweeting, who has also reviewed
it here. The knife lost its edge quickly, and worse yet,
fell apart a few months after we bought it. The blade
separated from the handle while cutting an apple.
No substitute for a really good set!P.S. Since I wrote this review on the 27th of September, the 5 1/2 inch serrated knife that I mentioned as being useful has suffered the same fate as the 3 1/2 inch paring knife. My wife was using it (I swear) to cut through a block of butter. The blade slipped right out of the handle. Looking at the way the handle and blade are joined, I thinks it's a serious design flaw. I can't see how the company ever expected them to stay in one piece! The end of the blade (smooth metal) is simply squeezed between two pieces of smooth metal at the top of the handle. A single rivet might have made a lot of difference. I've reduced my rating to one star. Sorry OXO, try again.
"Satisfaction Guaranteed"If for any reason you are not satisfied with an OXO product, return it for repair, replacement or refund.
These set sells at many retailers for $150 or more and they are an excellent value at that price. If you get them for less online, that's all the better. I have OXO utensils throughout the kitchen and have never had any trouble, and I would highly recommend this set.

Too Late
Good blades, good selection, but flimsy
Great Knives! Now to the main issue that I hear in these comments... The rust that happens on the blades... I cringe to hear that someone put them in the dishwasher! Kitchen knives deserve way more care than that. Use the knife, clean the knife with NON-LEMON TYPE detergent, and then dry after use. (Remember that citric acid will rust metal as is true in all cases) Do this to these and they will last

- Chops, minces, slices, and dices
- Stamped stainless-steel blade
- Black plastic, three-rivet, full-tang handle
- Dishwasher-safe, but not recommended
- Lifetime warranty
List price: $19.00 (that's 40% off!)
