Beautiful !!!
After a long search, have found the best...I have been looking for a great steak knife for a long time, obviously I wanted a full tang and bolster; but also wanted something that would look nice, even at a fancy table setting. These steak knives more than met my expectations. They feel substantial in your hand and are very well made (unlike for example, the Sabatier Laguoile steak knives, which look cheap and mass-produced). Also, I recently learned that a good steak knife should NOT be serrated, and this set is one of few that meet that criteria. I highly recommend this set for its beauty and functionality.
Cutting Edge Steak Knives With Elegant BeautyThese knives blend fine cutlery with elegant beauty. A joy to look at on the table, and a fine cutting edge on the blade. These knives feel solid and comfortable. The rosewood handle is very well fitted to the full-tang stainless blades. Most steak knives look out-of-place on the dinner table. These look great. They softly say: "Quality." Well worth the money.

The best steak knives- seriously!I ordered these knives on a whim based on the great reviews and those reviews were right. These knives are great for cutting food. There is no struggle to cut your meat and it slices through everything very easily. Cutting the fat off of chicken is a breeze and dicing vegetables is simple. If you want a quality set of knives, purchase Henckels. These knives are pricey, but definitely worth it.
nice steak knivesI haven't used them enought to really get a feel, but when I have used them they cut extremely well. My one dislike is that the cerrated edge tends to catch a good amount of food in it. Why did I rate it 5 stars... because of the price. For 8 quality steak knive $... is a steal.
Wonderful steak knives!Well, we finally broke down and replaced our drawer full of dull and bent pseudo-steak knives with this set of Henckels "real" steak knives and WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! First, they are amazingly sharp. Like the other reviewer stated, they slice through steak like a hot knife through butter (just keep your fingers out of the way). We got ours in October and they show no signs of dulling. Next, we throw 'em in the dishwasher with the other siliverware and they seem to take the abuse just fine. Finally, they feel and look great. They are well balanced and give the impression of durability. If I had to do it all over again, I'd get this set in a second - they're that good.

execellent!!Managed to get these at Marshall's for MUCH less. Keeps the edge, nice feel for the hand - large or small. Cuts anything as easily as butter.
mv-55 proIn short -- these are the best knives I've ever used.
They are very high quality, very comfortable to use (as are OXO products in gerneral) and are made of very fine steel. When you put it all together they just work great.
Excellent knivesJust received the set and love these knives. For the price they are well worth it. Compare them to other names and you'll see you get 6 knives instead of 4 and the maple block for considerabely less. The only thing you dont get is lesser quality. These knives are very sharp, and from experience with their other knives they keep a very sharp edge over time. I would highly reccommend them for someone looking for a high quality low price steak knife set.

Where's the Beef ? & Pass the A-1 please! With Wusthof, quality is top of the line!
Rated #1 in Consumer reports magazine, well balanced, which makes cutting alot less of a chore. I would have liked to tried the Gourmet steak knife set first; because this was alot to pay for steak knives. I know this is a lifetime investment. A great looking blade design that caught my eye & I got the 4 piece Fillet Mignon classic set instead of the classic 6 piece set. Now when I eat a steak, it does not get sawed & smashed with a dull serrated knife. Now,where's the beef? & Pass the A-1 please!

Incredibly sharpI actually bought a cheaper version of these knives, and they are so nice that I can't even imagine how well this version must cut. I had no idea knives could be this effective. puts mass marketed brands such as henkels to shame.
Wüsthof Classic 6-Piece Steak Knife SetMany people might scoff at a set of steak knives at this price, My only retort is to relate the story of sneaking around (because of my wife's non belief that there was a difference) and buying a set of the Wusthof Classic Steak Knives and using them for the first time. No matter what knife you have laying around and how sharp it is, the Wusthof is superior. It is the most obvious in steak knives because you use them everyday.
The edges are plain edged, honed by hand. These are NOT your STEAK HOUSE knives - no serrations. Your SLICING fine meat not disposing of a lost tourist in Texas!
Hand washing only, even with today's more sophisticated dishwashers with knife compartments preventing dinging and other damage to the blade, the high water heat and chemicals in the diswashing soap will ruin ANY knife. Think of the glass that you've had for years that you've run through the dish washer. Look closely and you'll see the glass is actually ETCHED from the detergent. And the old wood handled paring knives. Notice how they are duller and harder to sharpen? The dishwater temperature and chemicals from the detergent have damaged the steel. By the way, there is no SUPER steel that isn't known to all knife makers. Metallurgy is an exacting science, a formula to be followed, not magic with the Sorcerer and Mickey Mouse as his apprentice. Wusthof PROUDLY stamps the which metal their knives are made of right on the blade. It may be heard in a sales spiel from the college kid selling complete cutlery sets, that knives can be dishwasher cleaned. Nope.I don't put my saw blades, drill or router bits in the dishwasher either. They are precision edged tools just like your knives.

I'm very happy with this purchase everytime they come out for a meal. They feel comfortable, familiar like an extension of your hand, as all the Wusthof Classic cutlery do.
Good weight, balance and excellent hand honed edge. This knife is the one my wife reaches for first for her needs in the kitchen. Never argue with a woman with a knife in her hand. Especially a Wusthof!!

Great knivesVery pleased with these knives, they are very sharp. Perfect for those steaks coming off the grill!
First knife I reach for.I have had these knives for 24 years (wedding gift), we had six but over the years have lost them along the way. I still reach for this knife first, sadly we are down to only one but will be buying more soon. I love this knife because it is NOT serrated. Never had to have them sharpened either. If you are considering buying them DO IT. You won't regret it.

Your friends will drool when they use these!I purchased these as a gift for a friend, and She absolutely loves them. They are sharp, easy to use, and easy to maintain. Good cutlery leaves quite an impression on people, great cutlery stuns people when you entertain. This is the top of the line set from Henkels, one of the best cutlery makers in the world. I highly recommend this to *any* and everyone who every entertains with knives...
Well Done!
Great KnivesThese knives are... well worth cost. For a 5 inch knife ofthis weight it's a fair price. If you have the 3 inch paring knife, you know the handle is the same full size.

ExcellentThe cost of these knives probably puts them out of reach for the average household (who wants to spend $35 a piece for a steak knife for company to scratch against stoneware plates?), but if you want top-of-the-line knives that cut through anything, hold their edge, and feel sturdy in your hand, give these knives a second look. They compare favorably to the other more expensive Henckels, as well as the pricey Wusthof lines.
Wonderful steak knivesThese are wonderful knives. They cut the meat as easily as a case knife going through butter. I am very happy with this product and plan to purchase more.

All the really good knief sets are expensive aren't they? In a word NO!
These are great.

Nice steak knives but a Questionable blade design...Got this knives set during an Friday Sale. A real good deal for Swilling JA Henckels product line. The blade is similar to the Henckels 4/5 star and Pro-s blades except this is stamped instead of forged. Although this is a stamped knife, the blade is actually thicker than the blade of a comparatively higher line of 4/5 star, so Forged or Stamped blade makes no difference for this steak knife. These steak knives make cutting steak easy and "classy". Your friends would think these knives are very expensive, for which is the contrary. If this set got any cheaper like the previous sale, just get a few sets at once, you won't regret it. Just beware not to sharpen it on a steel or manual sharpener, it has to be prifessionally sharpened. The only puzzling thing is in the weird design of the blade where there is a little offset curve blade near where the blade and its handle meet; what is this offset for, it can actually cuts a finger if someone got a big hand. Just be careful in handling any type of knives.
The best! The best set of steak kinves we have ever owned. Exceptionally well made, good feel, and keeps a sharp edge for years. Highly recommended. I'm about to buy more of them as my wife uses them for everything.
Can't go wrong with theseGreat knives. Worth the money.
Get 'em while they're hot!!!
5 mojo*z for these pretty babies!!!
