Leave Your Tools at Home... This is more than Enough
I've had one of these for a little less than a year now. I'm responsible for the tech support of a huge division in a major college in the New York City area, and this is the only tool I bring with me. I've used it fro everything from fixing computers, to repairing typewriters. It has paid for itself a hundred times over. Highly recommended!!!

Geeks must-have
Okay, I'm not the geek, my husband is, but I bought this knife for him months ago and he's not been to work without it yet. He is a software developer and does a bit of work with hardware as well. He says it's a great tool for anyone doing detail work with computers, eyeglasses or musical instruments. It has come in handy with (his glasses, obviously) and my flute. We've also found uses for it with kid's toys (getting those damned battery compartments open), cell phones, aquariums, baby monitors, stereo equipment, and as a handy-dandy package and letter opener. You don't need to be a geek to apprecaite all that!

A Tech Toolset and Swiss Army Knife Combined
Everyone should have a Swiss Army knife, as they come in so useful, especially on the move. The question usually is: which one? Well, for me it was the Cybertool, mainly because it has all the features of the standard Swiss Army knife, but incorporates some precision tools, which comes in great for me at work, I just keep it in my case with my Laptop. One of the best Swiss Army Knives on offer.

Elderly enough to merit the name Victoria
My old one from the early 1950s is stamped Victoria as this company did back then, and a few of the blades are different, but it has survived much use. The plastic sides have long since decomposed and been replaced with handmade light alloy. The only thing that's been cheapened since then is apparently the liners. They were once white brass, but all have been aluminum for decades now. There is no better pocketknife made, in my opinion.

Best of the large Swiss Army knives
This knife is my favorite of all the Victorinox army knives. It has the most useful tools, basic blades, the corkscrew, the sizzors, the awl (with hole for sewing). You can get the little eye glass screw driver and stow it in the corkscrew. The other larger knives IMO are too bulky and have tools which really aren't up to any major hard work. Pruning knives for trees, fish scalers, magnifiing glasses etc. for instance. So if you are going swiss army this is the best of the bunch. Price/size/utility, its a good deal.

Very Useful Tool
I recieved this knife as a gift from my friend. Just from the feeling of it, I could tell that this was a high quality knife. It's made of high quality metal and was made very well. It comes with a lot of useful tools such as a screw driver, bottle opener, toothpick, tweezers, and more. I like to take it with me because it makes travelling more convenient. The only thing I don't like about this knife is that it is rather hard to clean. Overall though a good product.

Great Keychain Companion
I've had one these puppies hanging on my keychain for about 1 year now and it's been a lifesaver at times. The light comes in handy when you're stuck in a dark spot and I can't tell you how many times I've been stuck without a pen and then suddenly remembered that I did have one, on my knife! The pen hasn't run out yet and always writes great. The scissors cut with the precision you'd expect from a Victorinox knife and the nailfile and knife are always useful whoever you may be. All in all, a great companion to any keychain!

Great Knife from a Great Company
Swiss Army has always produced great knives and this one is no exception. The light is a great add on.

An excellent pocketknife, but you'll miss the screw-driver..
This classic Swiss Army knife will serve you well -- I've had mine for going on 10 years. However, this model does not have a Phillips-head screwdriver function, which I find extremely useful. If you can deal with that missing element, I'd say, buy away!
Enjoy!

The pocket knife you really use
This is the pocket knife I carry when travelling. You have what you need. It is thin, ligh. You have a blade for peeling and cut a fruit. A corkscrew for that special wine you will have in your room at a discounted price. Sometimes I use the cap opener and as far as I can remember I have used once the can opener. In other words do not go for those mini or maxi pocket knife, have your "waiter" with you!

Great knives, great price
I love these knives, and you can get the set of 3 for less than the chef's knife by Wusthof or Henkels, but they are super high quality.

They stay super sharp, easy to resharpen, and the molded handle is *way* more comfortable and non-slip than the normal chef-knife handles.

One Fantastic Knife!
This is really a great knife at a super price! I was very skeptical about purchasing a stamped knife rather than a forged one but I took a leap of faith and purchased it based on a top rating by Cook's Illustrated. It quickly became my knife of choice. The blade remains incredibly sharp for far longer than any similiar knife. But the real beauty of this knife is in the handle feel and blade balance. Unlike any other chef knife I have ever used, I can work all day with this knife with little hand fatigue or blisters. The handle remains firm in my hand even when wet or oily. I strongly recommend this knife - you won't be sorry. It is a real winner!

Simply, the best there is
You can't go wrong with the Champ in your pocket. Owned mine for a good 9 years and is still serves me well since the day I bought it. I even brought it with me when I did volunteer work and never failed me, not even when I used it to hammer some nails onto plywood. Now for the "other" camp, the LEATHERMEN's camp, sure, the Champ's pliers aren't beefy enough for some jobs but along with a good pair of Craftsman or Snap-on pliers and my trusty knife, I'm pretty sure things will be fine.

Besides, how many stories have you heard of a guy using a Leatherman to perform a tracheotomy on a choking child on a plane? I'm sure you haven't. But a Swiss Army knife did, right?

The best thing to put in yor pocket.
The swiss champ is the handiest thing you can own.Once you buy it your life will become easier.I use mine daily. The Swiss have a well earned reputation for building the finest watches in the world and Victorinox builds the best swiss army knife in the world. The build quality of these knives is jewel like, everything fits and works perfectly.I much prefer the swiss champ over any of the multi-tools. The multi tools are all too heavy to carry in a pocket and I don't like wearing a belt, plus I keep pliers in my tool box anyway. The swiss champ is a world recognized tool and has proven itself everywhere. It only has one drawback. When you use it everybody wants to hold it ,check it out and marvel over it. Buy one now and tell your friends to get their own.

Good but big.
As you can see, this knife has many many tools. However, calling it a pocket-knife is a little misleading. It is a bit big to fit comfortably in a jeans pocket. Buy the sheath that is made for it and wear it on your belt. The sheath also has a pencil, sharpener, compas/ruler, matches, signal mirror, string, safety pin and more. When I've worn mine, the sheath has come in almost as handy as the knife. If you want one that fits in a pocket a little better, try the Delux Tinkerer, has a lot of the tools that I found useful. The victorinox knives are all great quality, withstand abuse, and the tools open and close very smoothly. For heavy-duty cutting, though, I'd look for one with a locking blade, such Victorinox's version of the leatherman.

This knife also comes or at least used to come in black. That's a really nice look and not as common as the red.

THE SPRING SPRUNG
AN EAGLE SCOUT AT 12 YEARS OF AGE, I'VE BEEN AROUND POCKET KNIVES OVER 30 YEARS. BOTH "REAL" SWISS ARMY KNIFE MANUFACTURERS, WENGER AND VICTORINOX MAKE GENERALLY GOOD QUALITY KNIVES. THIS PARTICULAR KEYCHAIN KNIFE BY VICTORINOX IS NOT UP TO STANDARD. IT IS MORE ORNAMENT THAN TOOL. I BELIEVE SOME OF THE EVALUATIONS ARE REFERRING TO SWISS ARMY KNIVES IN GENERAL RATHER THAN THIS PARTICULAR KNIFE. I RECEIVED THIS KNIFE FOR MY KEYCHAIN AS A BIRTHDAY GIFT. AFTER 2 WEEKS OF LIGHT USAGE THE SPRING FOR THE SCISSORS FAILED. I STUDIED THE KNIFE IN GENERAL AND THE QUALITY IS JUST NOT AS GOOD AS THE LARGER KNIVES. VICTORINOX SENT A REPLACEMENT SPRING FOR FREE. IT'S A LITTLE TRICKY TO EXCHANGE THE SPRING. THE KNIFE FUNCTIONS AGAIN, BUT THE FAILURE IS IN THE DESIGN. THE WENGER KEYCHAIN KNIFE I NOW USE HAS A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT SPRING DESIGN FOR THE SCISSORS.
IF YOU USE THE SCISSORS OF YOUR KEYCHAIN POCKET KNIVES, PLEASE CHOOSE THE WENGER...AT LEAST UNTIL VICTORINOX ABANDONS THIS CHEAP SPRING DESIGN ON THIS MODEL.

Classic Indeed
After 14 years of service my Victorinox mini-Swiss Army Knife (SAK) has finally begun to show its age: the toothpick went missing, the enamel casing cracked, the insignia fell off. So I've bought another (the original sits in a drawer, its knife blade as sharp as ever, the screwdriver still perfectly utile, the scissors are gummed up but could probably be cleaned out with some rubbing alcohol).

For versatility and simplicity it's hard to beat this item. Sure there are SAKs with more blades and tools, but the simple knife/screwdriver/scissors combination is going to meet the vast majority of your needs (ok, it doesn't have a bottle opener: use a door strike plate, MacGyver). The toothpick is so-so, but I can't count the number of times I've needed to tweeze something and used the SAK tweezers when I couldn't find the bathroom set. The key fob, while not the most exciting of features, does provide a convenient way to carry the SAK around with you.

This item is sure to please. I love mine. You'll love yours. Buy one for someone else - they'll love theirs.

NICE!!!
Not a bad knife at all. Small, handy, and useful. I have no problems with it. It has useful things, and it's inexpensive. If you want a hardworking, durable, BIG Swiss Army knife, by all means, don't buy this one. For $15.00, however, I find it perfect.

Almost perfect
This is a high quality precise well made piece of art. Also the steel used in this tool is of high quality and not brittle like other tools. I gave this tool five stars. I give leatherman and gerber tools three stars each. If you don't believe me put this tool in one hand and any other tool you wish to compare in the other hand and compare. The only thing I like to have in this tool (new version) is a larger scissors. The one I have has small scissors. They are fine but a larger one will make them more practical.
UPDATE:
This review is for the new version tool (the one with scissors). I recently bought a Leatherman Wave tool...try to compare the two and give an honest opinion about the quality and the practicality of the two. The finish and the built quality of the Swiss tool is much better than the Leatherman. There is really a big difference here. The Vic. Swiss Army tool has a bigger and smoother pliers. The Leathermans Wave tool has too many small useless low quality bits without locking system. The Victorinox tool has an excellent smooth locking system that keeps the bit you use in place (think safety). The Swiss tool was designed to make it easy to open the bits you want to use. On the other hand, I have to figure out how to open the small bits in the Leathermans. You open one of the bits you don't want just to open the one you want hoping there is enough friction between the two bits (poor design).
The truth I returned the Leatherman Wave...because there is a big big difference between the two tools. The only good thing in the Leatherman is the metal file...The Swiss saw is an efficient fast great wood saw. Gerber new models may compete with Swiss Tools but The steel seems to be brittle and prone to breakage. I bought an extra (new version) Swiss Tool...The balistic pouch is of low quality...The tool is still high quality Swiss made. However, you can buy a high quality leather pouch from eknifeworks...The truth is that the Swiss Tool is the best tool I saw and used so far with a wide margin.

An eye for detail
One of the two best multi-tools on the market today. (the other being the Leatherman SuperTool 200)

PROS:
1) Strong pliers with comfortable grip
2) All blades can open while pliers are closed and all blades lock
3) Useful Chisel blade
4) Anti-rust finish
5) Heavy Duty steel

CONS:
1) The file on the "X" model seems to be made of aluminum. After some use the "steel" plating chipped off. The Leatherman file is much tougher and can be used on wood or metal.
2) You might break your nails trying to open the blades.

*UPDATE*
>> I sold sold the "X" model and purchased the "RS" model thereby trading the cheap file for a curved serrated blade. I like this tool much better now.

Simply the best
When I decided to buy a multi-tool last fall I did a thourough research on the Internet, reading up on what others said, then I went to the store to touch and feel the tools to really sense the difference, and I must agree: This is the best. My first choice, if I hadn't done my homework, would have been Leatherman, mainly because of brand recognition. I never regretted that I bought the Swiss Tool instead. Why?
1. The best feature are the spring locks that lock each blade and tool securely. NO fumbling and accidental slips.
2. The knife blades are razor sharp, even after long use, so is the saw.
3.The size is comfortable, and you grip it very easily.

P.S. I suggest you to get hold of the version with scissors. They may look small, but they're not wobbly at all.
