So hard to clean !
I just purchased this grill pan and was so excited to use it. I washed it and seasoned it before use as recommended by the manufacturer. I used it for hamburgers and although the meat tasted great, the pan was so hard to clean. Some of the burnt on pieces got into the grooves and despite my best efforts, I could not get everything off. My husband had to spend 15 mn scraping away with a plastic spoon! I chose this pan instead of the Le Creuset for the supposed easy clean up and I am disappointed.

Try this pan with lamb chops!
Excellent product, my first All Clad purchase (usually buy Calphalon). Fantastic for quick grilling lamb chops!

Great grill pan!
I've owned this grill pan for almost 2 years now and it does a great job of grilling everything from burgers to chicken, fish and thick steaks. It has the ability to heat up to a very high temperature, enabling me to nicely sear the outside of the meat. I can then pop the whole pan in the oven to finish cooking the inside of thick steaks or just to keep warm. As for clean up, the pan does need to sit and soak for a little while but after that, everything comes off with relative ease. No hard scrubbing involved. Overall, I love this product and highly recommend it.

Great for family dining!
I purchased this grill a couple months ago and have used it about 8 times. My family and I have enjoyed the novelty of cooking our dinner together at the table. I have noticed that waiting for the food to cook, both the time and the effort required, has been a very enjoyable stimulus for conversation. It lends a leisurely mood to dinner instead of the usual rush to get on to other activities. It also has made getting a healthy dinner on the table easier for me after a day at work.

The night before I will usually slice some veggie's, thaw some shrimp or marinate some beef or lamb. I just grab the bowls out of the fridge and set them on the table for cooking.Everything we have prepared so far has turned out great. The kitchen stays clean and cleanup amounts to some dishes and utensils to put in the dish washer.

The only reason I didn't give this product 5 stars was that the grill itself is hard to clean. I have had to soak it overnight to clean off the marinades. The grill had also begun to lose its coating surface after just a few times of use.

All in all, its a good product and the benefits of slowing down for a meal with family or friends is well worth the purchase price.

Best Raclette Grill I have used
I had been looking for a good raclette grill for sometime, after using several different styles at friends and families homes, I saw this one on Amazon. It arrived intact with all the necessary parts and is very easy to use. The grill top reverses to a crape grill which is also fun.

I recommend this particular grill above others I have used for several reasons. First, it can accomodate 8 people, while many grills max out at 6. Second, it has an adjustable temperature. We generally start out at a higher temperature then when everyone has slowed down and wants to eat slowly and talk I adjust the temperature down. Third, the grill is easy to clean. Its non-stick surface easily wipes off. I would advise to only use the included scrapers on the non-stick surface, if it gets scratched it will not be as easy to use. And fourth, it is very sturdy. This is a solidly built grill and looks great on the table. It is a little more money than some other models, but if you want to use it for years I would definately invest in the better grill.

Definitely worth buying!
My parents bought this product so we could make raclette (melted cheese) at home.
Pros: 1) It is easy to clean.
2) While cooking the raclette you can grill scallops,
vegetables, shrimps, etc. on the plate above.
3) Sometime when my parents don't feel like cooking, they
use this, because you only need to cut some
vegetables and some meat and just put them on the grill.
4) It is also a great to use when you have
guests over, because the food is easy to prepare and
while it's cooking you can have a wonderful
conversation with your guests.

Nice grill
I had an opportunity to cook with this grill pan over the Christmas holiday. It is well made, it handles well on the stove top, and it heats pretty evenly.

Depending on what you are cooking, the stainless interior can be easy or a pain to clean. I gave it four stars because I think a grill pan might be better served with a non stick surface. For a saute pan, and for reducing sauces, I like a stainless surface. It is much easier to see what is going on there than with a non stick. For a grill though, non stick properties are more important.

One reviewer wrote that he thought non stick was a scam, and that it goes away within a few months. Nonsense. That might have been the heads up on cheap supermarket pans 30 years ago, but a quality non stick pan today will last for years, and cook a perfect omlette, or grill a perfect fish fillet. Think about the job at hand, and choose the tools accordingly. A glance at the pans used in commercial kitchens, or those used by the wide variety of TV chefs is enough to let you know that there are some jobs that are tailor made for non stick cookware. Eggs, cheese, fish, and general grilling are among them.

perfect searing pan
I wanted a pan I could heat to the smoking point and then keep it there for searing tenderloin. This pan works great. The low sides actually reduce splatter at this temperature since most grease is carried into the air in other pans by steam formed on the sides of the pan. The rounded grill ridges make cleaning easier. Put the pan to soak and use a little stainless polish if necessary. It's a keeper.

YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR
I WILL MAKE THIS SHORT AND SWEET, THE PAN LOOKS GREAT, COOKS GREAT, AND THE FINAL PRODUCT MOST IMPORTANTLY, TASTES GREAT!

Stainless steel....no stains or bacteria
If you're like me, when I am grilling - there is grease, oil and many other grilling sauces flying about that would ruin a wood handled tool during the first use. These stainless steel beauties will stand up to your biggest BBQ parties. They have a nice length to them which will keep your hands and arms clear of the BTUs. The thickness of the steel is guaranteed to last, you can feel the quality of these tools immediately.

I purchased these because they matched the 2002 model of Weber Genesis Gold series, but they really would shine on any model or manufacturer.

Easy cleanup in the dishwasher... and they come with a 10, yes TEN year guarantee!

Excellent quality
I've owned this set for over a year, and I can tell you these tools are strong and durable. They are large, easily handling larger cuts of meat. They look nice, feel nice, they've been left out in the rain for days with no problem. These tools will last forever.

Well-constructed set
This heavy-duty, stainless steel set consists of tongs, a fork, and a turner. They're so sturdily constructed you could use them as exotic martial arts weapons. In fact, I'm working up a cool tong and fork kata right now. The turner doubles as an S & M flail for those into kinky stuff. Enjoy!

Worth Having
This is the perfect accessory to my Showtime rotisserie and my George Foreman grill. I use it mostly to grill ribs, which can't be done in the GF and which are just too troublesome in the Rube Goldberg Showtime setup. I made some bacon on it this morning and it was absolutely perfect. No burning, no uneven shrinking, no exessive fat, and those little grill marks. It looked like bacon from a TV commercial.

I just break it apart and slip it into my dishwasher. It's much easier to clean than the GF.

keep on grillin'
This is a wonderful indoor grill. It cooks with an even heat and there is no exposed heating element. All parts are dishwasher safe. It is great especially for vegetables and leaves the food with attractive grill marks. A non stick grill plus a splatter shield offer the best and most innovative grill on the market.

Best thing I ever did
I love this little item so much I keep it on my counter top. I use it almost daily. I'm grilling aspargus as I write this review. I've been so happy with it, the only problem I'm having is that with continued use, it gets harder to clean. I let it soak after each use but would like to find out how to clean more easily. At first everything just fell off of it when I soaked it. Otherwise, it makes everything taste so good. I'm an expert at grilling Salmon. The chicken breast comes out so juicy and it definitely has a grilled tasted. Don't miss charcoal at all.

Recommended but not without reservations
The grill is useful in handling small scale grill like cooking. Enough for 2 people, or 2 burgers. It cooks a nice grill including beef, chicken, fish, etc. However, it does comes with some drawbacks.
First of all, in-door GRILL means there will be smoke. Not as much as those charcoal but since you do not cook out door, you do need a good range hood. So there goes your stove top.
Next problem is cleaning. Thanks to the teflon coating, cleaning is relatively easy. But the designer decided to make it more challenging by disallowing you to remove the grill surface nor wash it under water. It DOES get dirty and depends on what you are cooking, it could mean a lot of work!

My Foreman Rules
We received this grill for x-mas last year and absolutely love it! It comes in handy for those midnight cravings for burgers. We just pop our frozen patties in and in minutes we have burgers! The bun warmer is great if you like your buns warm... however, we prefer ours toasted, so we rarely use that feature. It is a really good gift for one or two people, since the cooking surface is so small. I think once our little family grows we are going to invest in a larger Foreman without the bun warmer!

I can cook now!
This grill rocks! Seriously, I'm the farthest thing from a chef and the George Forman grill has turned me into a wannabe culinary artist. I used to burn water and now I can grill up a steak or make a grilled chicken salad or WHATEVER! I've even had friends over for dinner which was a pure shock for everyone involved. Cleaning it is also relatively simple. While I'm sure some people don't enjoy actually having to clean anything manually, it's really not a difficult task unless you're too lethargic from eating a good meal. Or lazy, of course. In the words of Yoda: For the price, a kitchen staple, this grill is.

Not recommended for ceramic cooktops
As soon as I took the grill out of the box, I was disappointed to discover that the edges of the grill were rough. As it has no handles to use to "place" the grill into position on the stove, I would not even attempt to put it on my new stove for fear of scratching the ceramic top. Based on my experience with Le Creuset products, I believe I would have loved this grill and given it 5 stars IF I had a regular stove.

Great...but expensive
Just a clue in here, this is a great product... but you can get the exact same thing, but at a cheaper price. The Mirro Non Stick Double Burner Griddle is actually the same thing, with a little bigger grease runnoff area.

Great grill & griddle
I've had this griddle for about a month, and am quite pleased overall. It is heavyweight, and has a tough black enameled finish that quickly builds up a slight seasoning (oily film) within a few uses. Foods stick much less than then would on a raw cast iron grill. It does a great job cooking pancakes, bacon, or grilling hamburgers or steak.

The only negative qualities are that it could use a larger reservoir for grease, and it would be handy to have larger handles if you need to pick it up hot. But these negatives do not outweigh its use.

Beware
Mine appears to have an internal electric ground fault. As I tried to plug in my brand new Breville panini maker, enough sparks flew to burn the end of the electric plug. I won't get a chance to find out how well this product does its job. It is going back.

Great sandwich press; no shipping problems
I placed my order for this with some trepidation after reading a number of posts about shipping problems, and I was not familiar with the brand.

It arrived securely packaged in the manufacturer's box which was snugly packed again in Amazon cardboard. So no problems there.

It is a great sandwich press. I love the hinged top plate and the settings that allow you to heat food without touching the top surface (like reheating pizza and melts).

I like the way it stores standing up so it takes up almost no counter space. I expect to use this a lot.

I still don't know the brand, but it is made in China like everything else today, so I guess it doesn't make any difference.

press that punani!...
My gosh! What a product. Pressing punanis has never been easier. Why not invite someone over to press those luscious treats till the cows come home. Even authentic Italian punanis are a doddle. Don't miss it!

Fantastic pan, except for fish
This pan adds fantastic flavor (and visual appeal) to just about everything. We use it at least once weekly and have been very pleased. My only complaint is that fish cooked with the skin on invariably sticks, so that the skin is torn off when you try to remove it. Fish with no skin is fine. Chicken with skin is fine. It's just the fish with the skin on that's the problem, and really the major reason I bought the pan in the oblong shape was to cook a whole fish. I've followed the directions to the letter, and still no success. I'd recommend the All Clad nonstick grill pan for fish with skin--we've had great success with that, but it doesn't add quite the flavor the Le Creuset pan does. Besides this problem, the Le Creuset is great, and I'd absolutely recommend it.

The Best Grill On The Market
The grill is so capable that I sold our gas grill at a garage sale! I purchased 2 of these for myself in blue, and one for my mother in red. She was delighted. I use one for beef, fish, poultry and the other at the same time for veggies, etc. It is exceptionally well-made, (guaranteed for 101 years) - and the weight of the grill reflects it's quality. If you have weak wrists or if lifting anything heavy is a problem - unfortunately - this wouldn't be for you. Also, it is more difficult to clean then any of my other Le Creuset pieces; however, no more trouble to clean, then the rack from our gas grill. In fact, less so as it's smaller and fits into the sink more easily; simply let it soak for a bit in warm water and it's no trouble. I use mine at least 3 times a week, and am only sorry I didn't purchase it sooner. I highly recommend it!

My favorite pan!
I've made fajitas, fish fillets, shimp, and chicken breasts in it so far. Everything is wonderful, is just requires a different way of cooking. The searing is amazing with the chicken breasts, then I put them in the oven to finish. The shrimp I did the way I always do, but with this pan everyone raved because it cooked so perfectly. They begged for the recipe, and wouldn't believe I hadn't done anything different other than the new pan.
I intend to get the blue one for my friend as a Christmas gift, she loved it so much!

AWESOME!
This is a great pan. I love all of the cast iron products that I have bought from Amazon.com. They are a great design and easy to cook with.

A Southern Girl Has Come Back To Her Roots
I honestly cannot say enough good things about this pan. At first I was skeptical and a little hesistant about cooking with cast iron. Growing up in the south I knew the magic of cast iron cornbread made with fatback, but I also knew the special care that went into seasoning the beloved pieces of cookware. When I saw that this was preseasoned I went for it. I worried that it might be a lightweight pan and only sublime quality for the price but I was pleasantly surprised. This pan has a heavy weight to it and is crafted solidly. I've used it for hamburgers (they make the best I've ever tasted), grilled chicken, pork chops, and shrimp (YUM). Something I learned is that things tend to stick a little so coating the pan with vegetable spray is a good idea. Also, try soaking your shrimp in a mixture of butter and garlic before grilling it. I am in love, it hasn't even left my kitchen counter to go into the cabinet since I bought it because I use it so much. My husband being a Yankee wasn't used to the goodness of the cast iron but now that he sees how perfectly it browns meat while still leaving it moist he is hooked. With this pan I find the grooves to be so helpful. You can season the meat without worrying about all the seasoning burning to the pan. Also they're nice and deep so that the fat that does run off actually stays off the meat. Cleaning it is SO easy! I just run hot water into the pan while it's still hot from the stove then use a sponge or dish towel (NO SOAP) to wipe it out, rinse it off, and then spray with vegetable spray while it's warm before putting it away. I have to say that Lodge has a loyal fan in me. With quality old time cookware like this, without the hassle of seasoning it first you can't go wrong.

Great alternative
I looked at several different options - such as the Foreman grill before settling on this grill pan. Although I have a small back patio, I've never used a bbq and wouldn't be comfortable doing so, not to mention I'm just cooking for one so the time spent setting it up wouldn't be worth it to me. The Foreman grill, based on reviews, didn't sound like it would be easy to clean and wasn't reliable. The grill pan looked like the perfect solution. Although the pan is heavy, there are two handles which makes it easy to move and carry over to the sink. Following advice I'd found on the internet, I use cooking spray generously and bought a wire scrub brush to clean it with. The pan does create smoke so I'm always sure to turn on the kitchen fan and open the back door before I even turn the stove on as well as disconnect the smoke detector. The pan heats up fairly quickly and cooks the food evenly and quickly. I must admit I don't use it frequently and have only tried a handful of foods, but I have been pleased with my experiences and would recommend this item.
