They say this reads in just 6 seconds. It didn't. It took more like 25 to 30 seconds from the time you immerse it in ice water till the display reads 32 F. It seemed even slower in meats. The display is tiny and hard to read. But, it was cheap. I'm told you have to spend $70 to $80 to get a professional "thermocouple" thermometer that can truly read a complete temperature in 6 seconds. So I guess you get what you pay for. I'm only disappointed that they claim this thing reads in 6 seconds.

Misleading name. It's a brass brush not a steel one.

The bristles on the brush are brass not steel. I have a cast iron cooking surface on my BBQ and the manufacturer recomended a steel brush over a brass one. I thought this would fill the requirement. I'm disappointed in the product description:(
However, the brush looks like a good choice (well constructed/nice size)if you are in the market for a brass bristled brush.

Form over Function

This is a beautiful piece of B-B-Q sculpture and gets one star for looks alone, but it bends too easily at the 'neck' and I'm already looking for a replacement after using it only 2 times! Looking back at the original information, it stated that there is a lifetime guarantee against defects. I wonder if a snapped off head would be considered a defect. I will let you know what happens. Too bad about the brush. It looked so good with my stainless steel weber....
