I love fish, but hate cooking it because of the smell and smoke in the kitchen. But this handy unit solves those problems. Albiet, it is a little tough to keep it clean afterwards. It's a good investment for any fisn lovers.

I have the rectangular version of this bacon/meat microwave grill and let me tell you - this is one of the handiest items to have onhand, especially for cooking bacon.

I don't know about you, I really enjoy bacon, but it's a pain to cook and it stinks the house up for hours. However, I always jealously noticed how my mother-in-law's bacon always seem to come out perfectly brown, crunchy, and flat. Above all, her kitchen wasn't overly saturated with the bacon smell. When I found out she used one of these Nordic Ware bacon microwave dishes, I was flabberghasted. I went right out and purchase one.

Now I make great bacon without the hassle, extra pans, and the extra permeating odor. The odor is now mostly contained in the microwave.

The trick to having one of these is figuring out the time/power level formula for making bacon the way you want it. For me, it's 7 minutes on 80% power with a paper towel on top to keep it from splattering. I almost always get bacon the way I want it this way. It gets a little trickier when adding more than two slices, but it's nothing mind-boggling.

An extra bonus is that the bacon grease collect on the bottom of the pan (keeps it from interfering with the bacon cooking). Makes it easy to collect bacon grease for different recipes, like collard greens. I usually collect the grease in a jar so I can have it readily on hand for whenever a recipe calls for pork fat or bacon grease.

You can also use this item to defrost meats without making a mess of your microwave. You can either use the grill side, or flip it around and use the flat bottom side to do so. The lip keeps the fluids from making a mess.

It's dishwasher safe, so all you have to do is drain off the excess grease/liquids and pop it in. The more stubborn stains usually slough off with a scrubbie-sided sponge.

This is a great product. I'm very happy to have it.

I completely recommend these BBQ tongs. They hold onto a big steak just as well as a small hotdog, yet they don't get hot in your hands because of the rubber grips. And if you have big cooking mitts on, the grips give you a bigger surface to hold on to.

Great buy for the money, and a good accessory for any BBQ chef!

You can't understand how fancy a spatula this is. The double rods are an extra chique feature that I wasn't only surprised to find on it, I was actally relieved. I've had several spatulas over the years, but never one that handeled nearly as easily as this little darling. The handle is more than sufficient for super de duper gripping, and I can't help but jump uncontrollably when I think of grilling, with it! Really a SPRIME-O spatula (that means it's good ). I really hope you get this one if you're in the market for a spatula, no doubt that you'll be very pleased :)

I have had one of these grills for several years. I love it. It is the most used small appliance in my home. I am so sorry that Rival has not only chosen to discontinue it, but now they don't even sell replacement parts for it. If you can find one, get it. You won't be sorry.

Forget Grorge... this Sanyo grill is a great bargain. It's larger then the Grorge Foreman gill and cooks better. The fats drips into a tray and very easy to clean.

I have owned my fair share of indoor grills, from a Foreman grill to a really heavy grill pan which I ordered through Amazon. Not too long ago I recently acquired the Calphalon grill pan because my Foreman grill is too small if I want to cook a piece of meat and some vegetables at the same time. Plus the black coating on my Foreman grill is wearing out. So I bought the Calphalon grill pan when it was on sale at a local department store. I haven't been able to get enough of it. It is so easy to clean even when I had cooked a piece of meat that was marinated in Italian dressing or in my own concoction of ground fennel seed, garlic, shallots, and extra virgin olive oil. The marinade will of course stick to the grill which is expected however cleaning it off the grill pan was so much easier than my last grill pan which was heavy and difficult to clean because it wasn't non-stick. I also like using the Calphalon grill pan because I can cook both the meat and vegetable (say asparagus) at the same time. The results are fabulous. I get those wonderful grill marks and grill taste. Although it is a bit big for this apartment dweller, I still consider this grill pan the best of all the indoor grills I have owned. Well worth the money too.
