Perfect!
When I first ordered this canner, I wasn't sure if I would be able to maintain a steady pressure with my "pulsating" flat-top stove. With the thick aluminum walls, I have no problems at all. In fact, with such thick walls, I can put the burner on "high" and it will slowly build up pressure so I don't have to stand over the stove and constantly monitor as the pressure increases. Once at pressure, it is very easy to maintain the required pressure without having to constantly vent off excess pressure. The owner's manual recommends one to four jiggles per minute. It takes longer for this canner to cool down than others due to the thick walls. I factor this in to my processing time. It will maintain it's pressure (15 psi) for almost another 10 minutes with the burner off. This canner is designed to fit 7 quart jars perfectly. If your looking for a canner, this is it!

What a great canner
This canner is excellent. It is very heavy, and you don't have to worry about the rubber seal because there isn't one. I bought one this year because my okra and tomatoes just wouldn't stop producing. But I have also used it as a boiling water canner for making fig jam, peach jam, pear jam...ect... I've also made pickles both sweet and dill. Comes with very clear instructions and you can begin to use it the day it is delivered - as long as you have the rest of the canning equip. Now the only problem is where to hide it so that my darling spouse won't use it every day !

The Best Cooker On The Market
I love making my own speghetti sauce and tomato sauce! My family loves homemade food. Thanks to the Wisconsin Aluminum Pressure Cooker! Thanks Elizabeth Finch

Whisked away!
I purchased this whisk because it sounded like a unique design, and after using it a few times (eggs and batter mostly) I think it's the best design out there. It does whisk things quicker and smoother. It is very easy to clean. No criss-crossed wires like in conventional whisks to trap food and cause rust. It feels very ergonomic too. The steel balls seem to do most of the work so your wrist doesn't have to. I suppose this would be a nice design for people with limited mobility. I liked it and am going to put some in the stockings of my "foodie" friends this Christmas.

Great find
This is one of my new favorite kitchen gadgets. It takes less time to whisk items than a standard whisk and half the time to clean it. I bought it on a whim and now I'm buying them for friends.

Best sauce whisk ever!
I love this beaded whisk especially for making sauces on the stove. The beads get right into the corners of the pot when you stir your sauce, so nothing burns and scorches. Great for cheese sauces that easily burn in the corner of the pot and the cheese won't get caught in the wires like on a balloon whisk. Also great for batter, gets the lumps right out. I think it will be great for spun sugar thread decorating too, I'm giving that a try this holiday! I love the ease of cleanup, just a very all around handy tool you will use again and again!

It's GREAT!!!
I ordered this during the free shipping special. It arrived within a week, it was easy to put together. All of the pieces were there and intact. It's a great asset to my kitchen. It's extra storage, counter space and when I want to roll it into the middle of the kitchen I have an island, I can also roll it into the dining room if I need a buffet during a party. It's very versatle.

Love It!
Item arrived very quickly, ordered on Saturday and I received it on Thursday! This cart was packaged carefully by the Mfg. and arrived in perfect condition. All of the pieces were in the box and was assembled quickly and easily by my 12-year old son. I love it! It is a beautiful piece and very roomy. One drawback was that I did not like the knife block...it does not have individual slots for knives...so I left it off!

Worth the wait!
I love this island! It is so helpful to our small apartment kitchen. It's one of the biggest islands out there for it's price range. Ordered from a different company that was offering free shipping and that made it a little cheaper. IT TOOK FOREVER TO GET HERE! (About 2 months) I think this is more of a problem with the supplier right now and not the company you buy it from. But I still think it was well worth the wait. Very easy to assemble, only small problem was that one of the drawers rubbed the top a little when you tried to pull it out. My husband and I shimmed the top up with a little paper and it's perfect. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!!! I'm really glad I got the natural wood top and not the stainless because it's easier to keep clean and dents don't show as much.

Lotsa Pasta
For a family with a child who can't get enough pasta (no sauce, just cheese), or for anyone who wants to entertain a small party, this durable 3-quart saucepan is exceptional. All-Clad makes quality cookware with professional materials and thoughtful design. The materials and weight ensure even heat distribution, non-scorching, and a cool handle. All-Clad products, I believe, offer more long-term value than other cookware: They're durable, perform well, and are surprisingly easy to clean.

There's also an All-Clad steamer insert available at a very low price. I don't have it yet, but the helpful reviews here have persuaded me that it would be a useful addition.

All-Clad Stainless 3-Quart Saucepan - My Favorite Pan!
I love this pan so much I bought 2! The 3 quart saucepan is a perfect size, I use it at least once a day. It is excellent for boiling potatoes, squash, a pound of penne, sauce, reheating some sauce and meatballs etc. It is my favorite of all my All Clad pans. It is made very well, is easy to clean, heats evenly and is designed to last. All Clad cookware is one of the most expensive lines around and it is worth every penny, it really is lifetime cookware. This saucepan is a definite must have. Very, very highly recommended! A+++!

Also, if you should get something stuck to the stainless steel use a product called "Bar Keepers Friend" to clean it. Most supermarkets have it and Kitchen Etc. and Bed, Bath and Beyond carry it too. The container (like a Comet can) is gold with blue and white writing. All Clad recommends it for cleaning stainless steel and it works like a dream and is very inexpensive.

Top of the line cookware
Heavy cast or rolled aluminum is the optimum material for pots and pans. Based on this fact, Magnalite cast aluminum gourmet cookware was the best you could get from about the 1950's through the '70's. However, there are some problems with aluminum as a cooking surface. Some foods react with it and cause discoloration; it's hard to clean, a fact that became glaringly obvious with the advent of non-stick surfaces. And there have been reported health issues related to cooking food in contact with aluminum (experts currently assess the risks as insignificant).

All-Clad is the heir apparent to the position of "creme de la creme" among cookware. The inner layer of metal is aluminum to evenly conduct heat throughout the pan. The cooking surface is stainless steel, the ideal surface because it is non-reactive, easy cleaning, and more durable than nonstick compounds. All Clad offers a variety of exterior finishes to suit your taste. Finally, this line is WELL BUILT. It will outlast anything else in the kitchen.

This may be the most expensive cookware but it's also the best. For a person who doesn't have the physical strength to handle very heavy cookware, this may not be a good choice. For anyone else who is willing to pay for it, this is what you want to cook with.

Great design... great price... great all around
This is a wonderful item. Before I had this one (and the same one in another size) I only had plastic bowls. This one is so much better on alot of levels.

First it is a wonderful, all around great size. Its substantial size makes it great for alot of mixing chores. Its easy to clean and maintain. And great for salads as it holds the temperature and the salads stay cold.

My old plastic bowls werent as study and had a tendancy to tip, didnt help with temerature reculation and were harder to clean (tomato would stain it , you couldnt use plastic as a make-shif double boiler, and it was hard to ever be sure any grease was off it, essential for whipping egg whites.

this is a great item. They arent bad for storage either as they nest. I wouldnt get any other bowls, at this point...

Cool Bowl
I never thought I'd gush about a mixing bowl, but this one is great. I bought it as part of a deal with the Whirley Pop popcorn popper and I love this bowl. This is a thicker and heavier stainless steel than all my other bowls. Because it is heavier, it is less prone to move or tip over. All mixing bowls are not created the same, and this one is clearly one of the best.

Essential Kitchen Items: Amco Bowls
Amco is a commercial line of heavy duty stainless steel products that are used in restaurant and home kitchens. I have a set of less expensive stainless steel bowls, but I packed them away when I discovered the Amco bowls. I like the idea that I can purchase exactly the size bowls that I need for cooking and baking.

This Amco 4-Quart Stainless Steel Mixing Bowl is a convenient size. I recommend buying the 5-Quart and 6-Quart sizes too. (Recall that KitchenAid Stand Mixer Bowls are in 4.5-Quart and 5-Quart sizes.) The flat bottoms means that you can place them on a counter (on top of a damp flour sack kitchen towel would prevent any slippage). There are many times you will want to use one of these bowls instead of using your stand mixer. For example, chocolate brownie mixes usually recommend 50 stirs by hand.

Highly recommended! These bowls are dishwasher-safe, too.

High Quality
One of my favorite gifts I have gotten! These are exquisite and top quality glasses! I remember my Great Grandma had these in the Fire King/Anchor "Coronation" that is what attracted me to them. They are so beautiful and would work for any function. I plan on having them for a long time since they are such good quality. You cannot go wrong with this reproduction!!! Especially if you are into Cottage or Shabby Chic home decor. Go for it you wont be dissapointed!

great glasses
I bought these for [$$$]; so i can't complain about the price. they look and feel great. everyone in my family was shocked when i told them the price. They are thick and feel strong, not cheap. they have USA printed at the bottom, i don't know if that means they were made in the us but i like the fact that they don't say "made in China" :). i'm VERY satisfied.

Good quality, heavy weight glasses..........
We have had these for a couple years now and the only ones that have broken are ones that have fallen on the floor. These have held up well through dishwashing. They are thick and heavier weight glasses--not like the cheap ones that break easily. Great quality and a great price.

How big is your hand? and what will you be cutting?
This high quality model with its forged blade, good weight, and full tang handle is an excellent choice, overall. However, knives need to be bought with the end user in mind. The first question--how big is your hand?--is THE critical question to answer before buying an expensive chef's knife for the average home cook. (Professional chefs trained in culinary techniques have their own needs, which will differ from the rest of us.)

If you are a woman with small to average sized hands, you may prefer a 6 inch chef's knife for most of your chopping/slicing needs. If you are a man with large hands, the 6 inch size will likely feel too small.

Our kitchen has both the 6 and 8 inch sizes. The 8 inch was a wedding gift, bought to fit my husband. I tend to use the larger one when cutting heavy or thick items, but the majority of the time, the 6 inch chef's knife is the one I reach for. (I bought that after trying to accommodate unsuccessfully to the larger size.) However, when I'm cutting something really big or dense, I do reach for the 8 inch knife.

For most people looking for quality knives, this will fit the bill. I recommend that you consider starting with this one.

A final note: Please don't put a knife of this quality in the dishwasher. If you're worried about salmonella after using it on poultry, a spray of kitchen disinfectant or of a dilute bleach solution will take care of that. (After all, you can't put the countertop in the dishwasher!) Plan to hand wash it immediately in hot soapy water, learn to use a steel properly and sharpen with a good quality sharpener as needed. In return, this knife will provide you with a lifetime of service and is likely to outlast you.

Handles MOST jobs the 8 inch Cook's knife does
I have Wusthof chef's knives that range in size from this 6 inch up to the 12 inch Wusthof, The 6 inch seems to be the one that gets used the most for kitchen chores. Most "professional" chef's and even Wusthof sales literature call the Wusthof 8 inch cook's knife the "flag ship" of their line. Indicating that it's a "must have" for the home kitchen. Since Amazon doesn't allow price quotations in their reviews check for yourself, the difference between the 6 inch and 8 inch Wusthof Cook's knives.
For the difference, I can also buy another knife I truly feel IS a "must have" - a good Wusthof paring knife.
The 6 inch model is well balanced, sharp from the factory as are all Wusthof knives, easy to maneuver. If you're building a good knife set I recommend looking at the 6 inch Wusthof and comparing it to the 8 inch. The extra difference in price could be better spent on the paring knife. The 6 inch is made with the same high quality metal as the 8 inch too.

the knife i use the most...
This is an overall excellent kitchen knife! Its a great size, not too big for easy use or storing. It is something I use almost everyday for most cutting jobs. I will say that for larger, harder veggies, like winter squash i think i could use a bigger knife...but if i had to pick one, i would pick this one. I bought a shapening tool at the same time and use it often.

After every use I wash and dry it totally. Leaving these knives to drip dry (or using a dishwasher) will i think stain the blade. I do have a dark water spot or two from before i realized this.

The knife is sturdy. When you are cutting, if the blade is sharp you do not feel like it will *slip* off the food your cutting. Its solid but not heavy...

I cook for a living...
First, don't let anyone fool you, there are two or three dozen excellent knife makers out there...you just haven't found them yet. I have 9 different brands/lines in my "work bag" and they are ALL flawless.
I bought a 7 piece set of "Grand Prix" knives for my grrlfren two years ago because they were a bargain and all of a sudden she likes to cook. I have used her 8 inch chef's knife and although I think that Wusthof is mostly junk ... I LOVED this knife! Great grip, balance and edge, easy to re-hone and VERY comfy.
I give this one 5*s (but not in my work bag ;-)

use it in an industral kitchen
I bought this knife with out doing any home work, I just liked the feeling of it in my hand. I then put it throught 4 years plus of using it five days a week, eight hours a day in an industral kitchen. The knife keeps a razor edge, easy to clean, and it's one of the best knives in the kitchen. If you own one kitchen knife, then this is the one you want. The Trident/Wüsthof Grand Prix series is one of the best buys for your money, hands down beating hankels (which suck by the way). Consumers Report did an evaluation on kitchen knifes, and this knife was the #1 knife.

I never thought I could fall in love with a knife . . .
. . . but I did! I can't tell you how awesome these Wustohof Grand Prix knives are, but I'll try. You really need to hold them in your hand, use them on an onion or a stalk of celery, to know the joy of using them. It's almost like your hand becomes part of the blade, like you're slicing and dicing with your mind and your eyes rather than your hands and wrist. I can't believe I made do with that gnarly set of Farberware laser-cut knived fot the past five years (and worse before that). I always thought that any old knife would do--but now I'm spoiled! Yes, they cost a lot of money--but believe me, they are worth it, and you'll want to pamper them (not for what they cost you, but because they DESERVE it!). GET THESE KNIVES--DON'T THINK TWICE. It will be love at first grasp.

Perfect Rice, Annoying Sounds
Why do the Japanese insist on making inanimate objects sing?

Even if I didn't have a 1-year old, I would find the aural feedback on this device wholly unnecessary. Start cooking, and you get serenaded by an electronic melody. Stop cooking, and you get another electronic melody. There are options to change the **octave** of the melody, or change it to a series of beeps (why just one beep with 15 will do?), but NOT TO TURN IT OFF. I don't want my son to wake up from his nap simply because the rice cooker is feeling self-satisfied. My old rice cooker did fine without twinkle twinkle little star, I ask you, why? WHY?

I've popped the thing open, hoping to find a speaker that I could clip the leads of of. Nope, the transducer is soldered directly onto the board and is extremely difficult to get at.

Love the rice cooker. I just wish it would shut up.

Perfect rice cooker
We have been eating rice almost daily. I decided to buy a Zojirushi when my 3 years-old Aroma rice cooker started to smell really bad after I cooked porridge once. Besides, I have always envy the rice I have had in those japanese restraunts and wondered why my own rice cooker just can't make it right. I decided to get this model because it is not too expensive, although it doesn't have that many features. ... I tried white rice and porridge. They all turned out perfect. Most amazing thing is it didn't leave any mess on the inner lid as my old Aroma rice cooker did everytime. I'm very happy with this product. I will not buy any other brands no matter how inexpensive they are.

Great for Large Families
We actually bought this rice cooker at our local Ranch 99 store and it was on sale for $90.

I have only used it twice so far. Once to make rice for a party of 8 and another time to make porridge.

I'm very impressed with the product. Making porridge is such a pain to watch and time but with this rice cooker I just turned it on and forgot it. The regular rice I cooked turned out fine and no sticking to the sides of the pot! Wow!!

Nice pan, but small
This pan is handy for small jobs when you want to cook 1 hamburger, sautee 1/2 onion, roast some spices, etc.

It is too small to be useful for much larger jobs.

Allclad stainless sticks to things like crazy, so it is a no-no if you want a pan to use for cooking eggs, pancakes, or the occasional hash-brown in.... but that same quality makes it absolutely wonderful for making sauces out of pan drippings.

Excellent fry pan.
This is a great fry pan. It *is* heavy, but it's an excellent pan, especially for 2-3 egg omlettes. It cleans up nicely, but it will get scratched, so be careful what tools you use with it. It came as part of a larger All-Clad stainless set, but I liked it so much, and it's very convenient size, I bought another one.

All-Clad Stainless 8" Fry Pan
This small frypan is my main item. I cook for myself only (usually) and if anyone out there wants to try out the All-Clad line of cookware, this is the one to start with. Once you do, you, as I, will want to expand your collection of this superior product. You can get messy with it; you can make a mistake & have the heat too high, you can even leave it in the sink uncleaned for a day or two.....it will still clean up easily and look brand new. As stated in the ads, the handles really do stay cool; that's a nice change of pace! Not to mention the fact that the company is still in business; the lifetime guarantee really means something! Did I forget to say that this cookware is simply "beautiful?"
