I wanted a press for pork chops for a long time. When I saw this one I jumped in. For Bacon it's fine, but I would not recomend it for meat, since it's lightweight, if it was a pound heavier it would be a great product for me.

if you like bacon and eggs, especially together on an english muffin, this is the thing to get. The egg rings are easy to use, and the bacon press makes thin straight crunchy bacon which is exactly how I like it. My only suggestion is get a square pan. The bacon press does work around the edges of a curved pan so you don't have much space to work with.

Since childhood, I've been one of the more vocal proponents of the bacon press. The strong linear correlation between the disappearance of the bacon press and the decline of Western Society is not to be ignored. So when I start complimenting bacon presses, it is not without some fairly extensive reflection on the matter.

This family consumes more than its share of bacon, such that we go through at least one (sometimes two!!) bacon presses per year, just through everyday wear-and-tear. How I missed this stunning combination for so long is beyond me, but consider me a convert! I mean...this thing presses!

I don't need to explain to you the myriad ways in which these two products can be used together - if you found this review, you already know. The traditional "Press & Ring" fusion dish in my family is, of course, egg pig ring pressies (sounds like "Orangy") - and this product makes these easier, faster and tastier than ever before.

I have used the Bionaire BAP1175 Air Cleaner and Filters for 16 months. I still have 45% usage left. My Vintage Home is on pier and beams. This causes a lot of dust,mold spores and dust mites. And with our new carpet, this adds unwanted airborne chemicals and carpet particles.I noticed a difference within an hour of useage.You will be amazed at the unwanted ordors that just disappear.The quite sleep speed is wonderful.I highly recommend this air cleaner and filters.

We have two units in our home, living area and bedroom. They keep the air clean and the dust down to a minimum. I will always have these in my home or office.

I love Bionaire Air Purifiers! I really feel it makes a difference in my room. I don't have alleregies, but the room air seems fresher. Just a correction on the editorial review above: Fred is wrong! The BAP1300 uses four filters so you need to buy two a1230h.
bap1175 uses two filters so you need one set. (a1230h comes with two) hap675 uses four, hap 650 uses three, hap625 uses two, hap 615 uses only one. So when he said you'll have an extra filter, that's only correct with the hap615. I happened to have tried them all. They are all good and all have the exact same filtration method. By the way, the digital counter on bap1300 is bogus. It does not measure air quality or actual usage. It is just a guesstimate based on time alone of when you have to replace your filters.

I have one and only one real complaint with the fan, I think all the past reviews that hailed it as a quiet and good fan are all correct, but...and maybe mine's busted, but the theromstat sucks!

As soon as I plugged it in the thermostat starting showing ridiculously high temperatures, with the fan on or off and it actually would show higher temps once I turned the fan on. Now, its been a little warm in SoCal lately, but at 8am I don't think its 98 degrees in my kitchen...and then turning the fan on drives the thermostat off the charts so it can only read "Hi" because it doesn't read above 100 degrees.

Since I'm going to use it in a kitchen the auto-temp thing doesn't really matter, but if I had bought this to keep things a regulated temp in say my bedroom, I think I'd be out of luck.

that last reviewer must have recieved a lemon, and that's usually my job. this fan is great, if anything, it works too well and cools down my room too much (i'm very tempermental). I think that the thermostat is great, in fact, it better reflects the outside temp than weather.com. anyway, i'm happy. and it has a remote, a huge icing-on-the-cake.

Durable fan so far. Have owned for over a year and run several hours a day. The remote is a plus where most other fans do not have. Somewhat loud in the high exhaust mode but livable. Would recommend spending the few extra bucks on this unit. Will buy another when this one decides to retire.

I have wanted this little Green Machine for sometime now. But I failed to do my homework before I bought it. I really should have bought the Green Machine with the rotating turbobrush. I think it probably would do a better job for my needs. I have a problem with weak wrists so its hard to clean with it. I have cats and the hair on upholstery quickly plugs the suction cleaning tool. It also seemed to leave lots of water behind requiring longer drying time. The good points are this machine is light weight and good for little easy clean up jobs.

This cleaner is wonderful for spot cleaning. I used to have one of the "original" models, and I am so happy with the improvements they've made over the years. This machine is so easy to fill/clean/etc. And..I've yet to have any trouble with leaks. Thanks Bissell!

We have mostly hardwood floors and ceramic tile with only a few rooms of carpet and area rugs. So the compact design was a great draw for me. The size is perfect! It is easy to carry around even when full with water. I purchased this based on reading the reviews and seeing it in action. Our cousin had new white carpet that their very large dog had an extremely loose stool on. I watched as The Little Green was loaded up with solution and water. I was thinking they had better get a professional over ASAP. It did take a little time as it was a large area and again white (not off white) carpet. Unbelievably, within minutes all appearance of the accident was gone along with the odor as the solution has a clean scent to it. We have an ill cat and I thought if it worked on that mess it should clean up anything our cat does. The day we brought it home, there was approximately a 3 x 3 area of a reddish (cat food coloring) stain on our light colored carpet. I set off to start the green machine and remembered that we didn't purchase solution. Surprise, nice of Bissell, they included a sample with the machine. :-) The mess cleaned up within minutes just as I had seen a few months earlier. Later that day, a friend stopped by and could not believe that the stain was gone. I am grateful to have it readily at hand!

Pretty small in size. If you don't have space in you kitchen, it will fit perfectly in any hole you find. Very easy to clean. Quiet motor, sharp blades.

For me chopper must chop, but not squash. So it perfectly chopes to small pieces everything that is dry or crispy, like carrot, onion, fresh herbs, nuts.
Absolutely useless for tomatos. That's why i gave 4 stars.

my boyfriend and i were amazed at how effortlessly this little gadget chops things. as a person who has killed the motor in two cuisinart mini preps, i really was glad to see this chopper goes and goes with no sign of losing power. and the price -- amazing!

Short and Sweet....this is "the best" for small amounts. Chops great, easy to clean. A time saver for sure!

I bought one used for [$$$] on .... I started scanning my Girlfriend's yard (house built in 1940's) and immediately picked up all sorts of signals. After a day I became used to the different tones and began discriminating what to and not to dig. That day I found 3 spoons, one of them is silver, and 5 wheat pennies. The next day I searched a sledding hill and found about [$$$] in change. I think its a great deal for the money.

I collect rare bottle caps, and try to take care not to lose any of my collection. I was coming back from a convention recently and one of my collection boxes hopped out of the back of the pickup as I was crossing an old hump-back bridge, and fell into a small stream.

So I bought the metal detector to try to get my valuable collection back. This one said it is waterproof so I figured it might do the job.

Well, after three weeks of wading up and down the stream I have had mixed fortunes. A Celtic chalice, the silver cumtach (cover) from a medieval bible, two viking swords, a couple of daggers, a mound of celtic, roman and viking coins, an array of viking hacksilver, medieval broches and buckes from shoes and belts, delicately filigreed celtic gold jewellry and most notable of all (since the Romans never made it to Ireland) the metal fittings from eight complete and six incomplete sets of roman imperial legionnary armour.

OK, so I am famous now amongst scholars of the Romano-Celtic world. I have been awarded three honorary doctorate degrees for my finds, and I have been given freedom of the cities of Dublin and York, and I had to decline a Royal knighthood offered by the English Queen (I do have principles and I am an Irish Republican). But what is all this fame? I have lost a box of 200 bottle caps and not found a single one with the detector.

In that collection was a rare 1950's Kirin blue, a 1945 victory V double diamond crown cap and most valuable of all a Grolsch porcelain stopper from the first ever commercial batch. What does it profit a man to gain the world if he loseth his bottle cap collection?

If you buy the metal detector I hope you have more luck than me!

I figured that any metal detector would find the '32 Chevy buried in my backyard, but I wanted to find coins, rings, and Civil War relics in my 5 acre woods. It took 5 minutes to assemble the Tracker IV and about 15 minutes to review the instruction manual. Round up a few coins, a gold ring, and some nails and run through the demonstration on page 5 of the manual. It will give you an idea of how different objects respond to the 3 detection modes.

I borrowed my wife's headphones (highly recommended) and headed for the woods. Within minutes I found beer cans, shotgun shells, nails. The detector will pinpoint an object close enough that you can dig it up with a few scoops of a garden trowel. On my second attempt I found a man's silver ring.

Tracker IV appears to be well constructed and a good value. I don't have any experience with other detectors, but I can't imagine that any are easier to use than this one. Tracker IV is a great choice for your kids to use, if they can get it away from you!

I bought my Bunn coffee maker in 1991. It's worked great and has lasted through many moves. It brews a pot of coffee in about 3 mins and the taste is great compared to the other coffee machines out there, which leave you with a bitter tasting cup of coffee. So if you love your coffee and are tired of waiting for your old machine to finish brewing, I highly recommend a Bunn. Also, you can get them at other stores for a lot less than $200.

When I was looking to purchase a new machine, I only was looking for a Bunn. Bunn makes the best coffee machines, none can compare. Every diner, coffee house, and Dunkin' Donuts only use Bunn machines. The A10 is one great machine! Brews perfect cups of coffee hot and quickly. Everyone in my office is very happy with the unit. If you're a serious coffee drinker, please don't cheap out on a Mr.Coffee, Braun or Krupps-- frankly they cannot brew coffee at the speed, temperature, or taste of a Bunn unit. I bought the A10 to replace a Bunn unit that I used for 10 years without a glitch.

best coffee maker but the price here is a bit much you can get the same bunn at TARGET for under 100 dollars check it out I got mine at target 1 and a half years ago and no probles and I use it 1 or 2 times a day I paid 79.99

I have had this pasta cooker for almost a year and I find it to be a very versatile pan indeed. While it is not a pot that you would be use to cook for a large family, but for 1 to 3 people it is perfect. Especially if you require a pan to be multi functional. With the pasta insert in place you can cook pasta or steam a load of vegetables, it will even cook a dozen eggs or more. Remove the insert and it is a perfect size to make a small stew or a batch of soup. It heats evenly and works wonders on medium to medium-low heat. On low heat it will simmer for hours and the glass lid means you can monitor the progress without letting out the heat. If you have an electric range it will fit and heat well on either the small or large burner. For a single person or a 2 to 3 person family in a smaller home or apartment where storage space is at a premium this is a must have pan.

I am giving this pot 4 stars because I love Anolon Classic cookware but, it is really to small for cooking pasta. To get enough water in the basket it is to full and boils over. You can only cook very small amounts of pasta. The pot is a great small stock pot.

We got this pot as a wedding gift. It is absolutely outstanding as a vegetable steamer. The veggies come out much more flavorful than boiling and there is not the loss of nutrients associated with boiling. We love it: it rocks. We have also used it for pasta with and without the insert and have had great results. I (the cook of the relationship) like it so much. ...

This vacuum is fine for picking up the dirt in a small studio, but don't expect anything more from it. The main problems are by design: It is not very powerful (but adequate for hardwood floors) and because the engine is on the stick you can't reach under beds and sofas. But it does the job nicely in a small place with no rugs.

My apartment has all hardwood floors and I have a very furry dog. This vacuum has made a huge difference in keeping the place clean. It does a great job picking up the long hairs and has been a real time saver. Plus it's hard to go wrong for this price.

I live in a 900 sq. foot apartment with wooden floors and I have two cats. I have spent the past four years trying everything from the traditional (dust mop) to a Black and Decker FloorBuster - and none of them have worked as well as the Bissell Easy Vac Plus. It's powerful, it picks up very well and handles my throw rugs with ease. I finally feel like I'll win the war against the dust bunnies and ever present cat hair ...

The calphalon hard-anodized cookware is overall a good product. I have used my pots and pans over many years now.
They conduct heat efficiently, they look good, they have a good weight to them. I would in the future still buy the same line, however only for certain jobs. If you have the money, by all means, go with allclad. Otherwise you can make great use of calphalon if you avoid them for certain foods.
I can not recommend the pots for cooking foods with high acidity, e.g. tomato sauces as the anodization will come off after a while. Even though I used only wood utensils, there are tiny dings in the bottom of many of my pots. So they don't really last a lifetime if you use the pots every day as I do.
Those pots I used in the oven, started buckling after a while.
I highly recommend the frying pans, pots you would use to cook vegetables and non-acidic sauces, stews etc. in and pots you don't use every day. For my italian tomato sauces I switched to all clad and for reducing volatile sauces I am using a copper sauce pan, due to its extreme conductibility.

I cannot sing enough praises for this line of cookware. I purchased a professional series hard-anodized set a couple of years ago, and am in love with them still.

First of all, they distribute heat more evenly than anything I've ever used before. There are no uneven cooking patterns whatsoever.

Secondly, absolutely nothing sticks to them. I don't care if you boil molasses for six days straight leaving only a crusty, charred horror. You will be able to wipe it right out with some water and a sponge. These pots scoff at caked-on spaghetti sauce, scalded milk, and foods which destroy other sets.

You can also use any utensil on this set that you'd like. Metal spatulas, wire whisks, etc etc. They will not scratch the cookware one bit. This is especially important for those of us that dislike plastic utensils.

I would recommend finding the sets with the glass lids, if for no other reason than it's nice to be able to monitor what's going on inside without removing the lid. (I personally think they look a little nicer too.)

The handles do get warm on the pots, but I don't find it a problem. Almost all pot handles get warm so I'm used to this. The pan handles do not heat up, however. Calphalon also makes handle guards that slip over if you've prone to buring yourself.

Overall, you will never need to replace these pots and pans. This is the best investment I have ever made in my kitchen and I can't imagine cooking without them now. They are WELL worth the additional cost and will last you a lifetime.

Calphalon pots and pans are top-quality cookware, heating extremely quickly and evenly. However, they have two drawbacks: They can not be put in the dishwasher and the handles get HOT.

If you can deal with those two issues, I'd say, buy, but if you can't you may want to look elsewhere.

BTW, the "Calphalon Commercial" set has handles that are not as hot, but still quite warm.
