Sucking every penny out of my fridge, pantry and freezer!
Wouldn't be without it!
good unit but problems? However, we've had a couple of problems that could not be 'trouble shooted' by Tilia's customer service....
1. the pump on our unit recently broke....called the company customer service and confirmed it was defective. All of a sudden, it stopped to automatically turn off and didn't go into "low gear". Hopefully, this is not a sign of more problems to come.
2. can't seem to seal the smallest Mason jars. Again, I trouble shot this with Tilia and can't get it to work. Shame....really nice to have the option of using small jars for stuff.
Other than this, the unit is great and worth buying and worth using!

Worthwhile investment! This particular model comes with 2 spatulas and 2 dip trays. Yes, the grill can be hard to clean if you don't wipe it off right away. The best way to clean it is to use the spatulas to scrape off the grill as soon as you remove your food. Then, as soon as you've eaten (and the grill has cooled a bit), wipe the grill down with warm, soapy paper towels. If you wait too long, the grease is hard to remove (be sure to wipe under the rim, too, for grease builds up there and might be hard to see). I haven't had any trouble with the teflon coating coming off, and I also find the spatulas easy to use (though they are a bit flimsy, but you can use any plastic utensil you want). The spatulas don't work as well scraping the grease from the very tip of the grill's bottom piece, as the grooves are deeper there than elsewhere. But for the job it does, the clean-up is worth it. This model is large, making it difficult to store in certain cabinets, but I use mine so often it just stays on the counter.
I would definitely recommend a George Foreman grill of any kind. It delivers what it promises: healthier food, and fast! You'll find yourself using the oven a lot less.
Puts the sizzle into cookingI have had this grill for over a year and can honestly attest this is the best fifty bucks I have ever plucked down. Already I have made hamburgers in a jiffy, grilled salmon, shrimp and boneless chicken breasts. This may seem like nothing to you, but for someone who regarded Shredded Wheat as a gourmet meal, this grill has put a huge smile on my face, not to mention my husband, who is dancing a jig whenever the cooking aroma wafts his way.
Using the grill really is as easy as the infomercials claim. Grab your hamburger patties, sprinkle on some seasoning, pluck them down on the grill, close the lid and six minutes later you have a perfectly cooked burger. I was in ecstasy the first time I tasted one of my creations. No longer am I the most cooking challenged human being on the planet, I am giving Julia Childs a run for her money. God bless George Foreman, this product is fantastic. If you're a novice cook or a pro, you can't go wrong with this product.
AN EXCELLENT PRODUCTThe key aspect I must touch base on where the grill is concerned is how it literally drains the fat from your food. I was astounded by the amount of fat that came off 4 1/4 lb. hamburgers. I ultimately thought back about how much fat we consume per day without even knowing it. Meanwhile, the grill manages to retain the taste and juciness of the food you cook.
The fact that you can cook frozen food is an added bonus as well, especially for someone like me who usually waits until the last minute to decide what to eat.
I mainly use it when cooking chicken breasts. From the frozen state to fully-cooked takes approximately 10 minutes, and the result is incredible.
I also found clean up to be a breeze. The plastic scrapers which come with the grill are practically useless. Your best bet is to use either a wet cloth or a wet paper towel to wipe down the grill WHILE it is still warm. It will be clean in no time.
The grill is incredibly easy to use, and with the easy clean-up, you can simply wipe down the machine and be ready to use it again. I find this especially handy when cooking for a large group of people.
So, if you're looking to cook low-fat food that is absolutely mouth watering, quick, and easy. You can't go wrong with this product. I recommend it to anyone.

Comfortable Affordable Economic and Safe
Finally, a hot time in the old town tonight. If your pleasure is sitting directly in front of the heater and basking in its warmth, the Vornado may not be for you. Don't expect it to blow you away or to light your fuse the instant you plug it in. Like my cat, it's quiet and slow to warm up, but once it does, it really purrs. In fact, even the cat should be happy, because the fan's superior circulation insures transmission of heat to all corners of a modest-sized room. Moreover, the thermostat on this model, unlike others I've owned, is both functional and useful. And not least of all, my cat hasn't found a way to sleep on its sphere-shaped surface.
Best heater available. Vornado makes good products. But even the "tipless" heaters I have do not heat as well as the Vornado. This heater's fan "mixes" the warm air with the cool air in the room. It can actually heat an entire room, which most space heaters can not. The Vornado does it by blowing the heated air up and out, mixing the heated air with the cool air, and creating an even temperature in the room. It is perfect for rooms in the 12 by 14 foot range.
And it is quiet. None of my tipless heaters are quiet. So, all in all, this is the best space heater I have ever owned, and I recommend it highly. If it costs more than an inferior heater, that is money well spent in the long run for comfort and safety.
I am now buying a second Vornado heater, for my home office. It is in the lower level of my home, and cooler than the rest of the house. No point overheating the rest of the house just to make one room comfortable.
Oh, and Vornado makes very good humidifiers as well. They are quiet, and they put a lot of humidity into the air. I have had lots of other humidifiers, and the Vornados are the best. I have two of them.

A quick way to cook healty food...with a few problemsI do recommend this product though for people who don't have a lot of time. You can cook a meal in a matter of only minutes. This is nice because it allows you to avoid the alternative of fast cooking--normally a microwave dinner or something else that isn't to healthy. Great product for people on the go!

This vacuum has improved my lifeEnter the Eureka Boss Lite Upright Cordless, probably the best product I bought last year. It's light. It holds its charge long enough to do everything I've ever wanted to do with it. It slips on and off its recharging holder thing easily. And it does a good job, thank you very much--by which I mean that I have pretty much abandoned the aforementioned regular vacuum cleaner (in every room, not just the kitchen) because I just don't need it anymore. And of course the big advantage is that because of its great ease of use one can more easily and more often clean one's floor. On an average day I probably take this thing out two or three times.
Another reviewer mentioned the desirability of having a hose attachment for getting into corners. I would like this too, if (and only if) it could be added to the machine without making it (the machine) any more cumbersome or complicated. At any rate, a delightful vacuum cleaner that has made life easier around here. I highly recommend it.
Can't live without it

A Great Tea Kettle for a Great Price
I Actually Use This One!
At last I've found a whistling kettle that really whistlesThe spout works easily and best of all it has a whistle I can really hear-- you can't imagine how may bottoms I have boiled out of tea kettles because I forgot about them-- well, never again. This one lets me know with a nice loud but not shrill whistle when it is boiling. The handle is easy to grasp and doesn't get hot and the spout doesn't splatter all over the place. It is just great for an inveterate tea drinker like me.

Great juicer for the price- Masticating - like a Champion Juicer
- Centrifugal - like this one
- Citrus only types
Masticating juicers are generally thought of as the best type, but they are more expensive - around $$. If money is no object, a Champion Juicer is probably the way to go.
But, since money was an object for me, I got this one. We have used it almost everyday for about 6 months with great results. The primary thing that we juice is carrots - usually about 20 large carrots each day, and it handles these carrots with no problems. I am very satisfied with this juicer, and I would buy it again.
A few other notes -
Noise. I do find it moderately noisy, but it's so fast that I'm done juicing before it bugs me or anyone in the house.
Cleaning. There are five parts to clean - the lid, the strainer, the pulp collector, the juice collector (looks like a stainless steel cup), and the pusher. The pusher, the lid, and the juice collector are a breeze to clean - about 15 seconds each. The pulp collector is fairly easy to clean (it detaches) but it does have a few small areas which the enclosed brush helps to clean - takes about 1 minute. The strainer is hard to clean without a brush. The brush that comes with is very small, maybe too small for daily use cleaning the strainer, but if you get a larger kitchen brush, the strainer cleans easily - about 1 minute. All together, around 3 minutes to clean.
Other minor notes. The juicer has rubber nobs on the bottom, so it doesn't move on the counter when it's running, which is nice. The juice collector (cup) does move a little sometimes when juicing, so you have to keep an eye on it so it doesn't slip off. The pulp collector does fill after about 10 large carrots, but it's easy enough to take the lid off, dump the pulp, and start again - takes about 10 seconds.
All in all, a great juicer for the price!
My First JuicerCucumbers, apples, and pears go through very easily. Red beets take a little work. Carrots are easy, but make up the majority of the pulp. Also, too many carrots will clog up the pores in the strainer (so be careful) Romain lettuce and parsley are a little tricky. I recommend folding and juicing it first, then any fruits later. I tried cabbage; big mistake (it stinks). And, do not mix grapefruit with any veggie juice (the high acid with veggie juice tastes aweful after a few days in the fridge and is just bearable fresh).
Overall, and excellent addition to my lifestyle.

It probably won't last much longer
Cleans well, love it...but wished it didn't leak!I would suggest buying the carpet cleaning solution either at costco or elsewhere. The Hoover one can get really expensive and it is gone after one use. However, we got the one from Bissel and it works just fine with the unit.
We did notice that sometimes if used exactly like the manuel tells you to then you can over-saturate the carpet and it takes forever to dry no matter how many times you go over it to suck up the water. However, if you just scrub it through once and then dry run it a couple of times, it works great and in less than 30 minutes you'll have clean carpet!
I couldn't be happier with the unit. The only thing I guess is that when you take the bottom unit out (the part that holds all the dirty water) to empty, it leaks water so be careful! Remember to take it apart somewhere you can wipe it up. I learned the hard way.

Nice little oven
It's A Keeper! Its polished chrome exterior gives it an upscale look and is different from the typical white/cream color that can eventually become stained/burned looking with time. If this was in a "Survivor" of toasters, it would surely outlast the competition. I've had two Delonghis in the past that performed poorly, and Krups (though pretty reliable) just doesn't look as good. Works great and looks great too. What more can you ask for?
So that's how a toaster oven works! It's been a while since I've had a quality toaster oven. This time I had to spend a more than I did on the one I bought before the last two losers, but this one works very well. I guess (money) just doesn't buy what it used to. What I spent for this one ... was well worth the price.
