Simply the best...In short: It's perfect. You like tea made the correct way? Get this kettle. Well worth the funds to purchase it.
From the kitchen to the dining room tableIn addition, this teapot as all the advantages that a dedicated electric kettle has over a stovetop model: auto-shutoff (start it, jump in the shower, hot water is waiting when you get out), generally faster to boil water, and it doesn't occupy a burner nor get covered in grease splatters. The downside is that it's yet another appliance taking up counter space.
So there are a few complaints: the Krups teakettle has a wide base so it does take up more of your counter than other models. We originally bought it for heating water upstairs, but found it far to big for our small bathroom. Other problems I have are that the handle is directly over the main opening making it somewhat awkward to open the lid and fill the pot. As another reviewer pointed out, the water level indicator is only good for full/empty measurements. I generally lift the kettle to see if I need to add water. I would like some audible sound when it finishes boiling. I've gotten so used to the start-it-and-leave-it that I often come back 20 minutes later having totally forgotten I was making tea.
Anyhow, the problems I have with this teapot are mostly trivial and are so far outweighed by the advantages that I give it 5 stars and recommend it highly. It's a great gift for the tea-lover in your family.
Easy and attractiveI only have two problems with this kettle. It is a little bit noisy so don't be alarmed at the boiling sounds. The gauge that shows how full the kettle is is hard to read when the kettle is held at an angle, such as when you would be filling it under the tap.
Other than these minor problems, I am enjoying this kettle greatly and, short of a power outage, I can't see myself going back!

the perfect pan for many uses
Tatin, quiche, beef pot pie, or tamale pie - perfect pan....My first experiment, however, was a beef pot pie -- just browned the meat and onions in a bit of olive oil then added carrots and seasonings. A ready-made pie crust fits perfectly to line the pan, then a half-inch of stiff mashed potatoes with a little cheese sprinkled on top. The juices are sealed in and the crust browns beautifully at 350f.
Try it for a breakfast cassarole of pre-boiled potatoe slices, sauteed onions and peppers, grated swiss cheese, mushrooms, tomatoes, and quartered sausage links baked in a seasoned egg/milk blend to hold it together. When you bake it slow and let the flavors develope, the result is a country breakfast fit for the hungriest crowd.
Any main dish or desert pie is equally at home in this great pan -- plus it brings all the wonderful attributes of Le Creuset to every recipe: Easy clean up, even heating, and lower-temp cooking.

Kick George Foreman to the Curb...Unlike it's predecessor, the George Foreman grill, it cooks many kind of foods beautifully without drying it out or sticking. The key...temperature control. Since it works with your stove, you can control the amout of heat you need.
Also, having a wee kitchen, it's nice not to have another appliance taking up valuable counter space.
One of the best features is the lifetime warranty. And they mean it too. My friend had a Le Creuset teapot that rusted out and they sent her a replacement for free.
Sure it's pricey, but you get what you pay for with this pan.
You'll eat more veggies and fish! Healthy and tasty!
MANY A MEAL FROM THIS SQUARE DEAL!The answers are: nowhere that I know of, and because my mother always used a round skillet. She would have loved this enameled cast iron beauty that leaves appetizing sear marks on meat - a char effect without the mess. The ribbed base captures grease allowing for healthier low fat cooking, and the surface is a satiny black enamel that cleans in a breeze.
It's compatible with all heating surfaces, and has an easy hold comfortable handle. We lightly applied vegetable oil to the ribs before our first use, and for several times thereafter. Since then there has been no need for the addition of oils. By heating the grill for a few minutes on medium heat (test with a drop of water and heat until water droplets sizzle) we've found the cooking surface primed for superior cooking.
This nifty item has such a plethora of uses - it can be used in the oven (keep your oven glove at the ready) or even on a backyard barbecue.
