This ice shaver went above and beyond my expectations for a manual low priced shaver! The ice, whether from the included tubs or ice cubes, is shaved very fine - more like a soft snow (although, being ice, it hardens after a few minutes). It is fairly easy to clean - the ice holder and blade can be rinsed off, but the top part (which pushes the ice down) has to be unscrewed so as to not damage the motor (but if you're using regular and not flavored ice you can just leave it to dry). It is not dishwasher safe.

I recommend that you freeze flavored water versus pouring the syrup on after the ice has been shaved - since the ice is shaved very finely, it tends to melt pretty quickly whenever something else is added to it. The added couple of tubs, although small, provide the best mold for ice shaving, and one can fill a regular-size bowl full of shavings (about 2-3 sno cones, depending on the size). You can create a little stockpile of ice molds from the tubs, and make quite a few snow cones for a weekend treat!

Overall, this is an awesome little home shaver, a great value for the price. If you're looking for a small ice shaver to satisfy a snow cone craving that makes excellent ice shavings for a small price, this is your product!

We got the Hamilton Ice Shaver for my parents for Christmas! They loved it! The motor is powerful yet quiet, and it sure beats the hand crank model my parents had before. It is easy to operate, just drop the ice block in the top, close the lid and push the button. It makes great, finely shaved ice with no mess and hardly any work at all. It could not be easier!

This is a really great set of knives. The wooden handles are beautiful, but I'm a sucker for wood. They're made in Spain instead of Germany, but the quality is excellent. I just wish I could find the cleaver somewhere, they're out and this line looks like it's been discontinued.

This knife set has been a huge hit in our household! I first have to say that my hubby did NOT want me to order knives on-line. He felt he needed to "feel" the knives first. BUT, after shopping in a local store and finding the sames knives were MUCH more expensive, I decided to order them with the knowledge that I could always return them if we didn't like them. Though he was not excited to learn I'd gone ahead and ordered them, once he saw them (and "felt" them...) he LOVED them! They are great quality! We had fairly decent knives, but they could not compare to the quality and ease of cutting we get with these knives. Dicing, slicing, whatever is no longer a dreaded chore. While I used to always let my hubby do the cutting, which I hated, I now prefer to do it myself because these knives cut so smoothly and with such ease. It's almost fun, if cutting up meat and veggies can be considered "fun". I feel like such a Julia Child... ha!

The knives are also very attractive. The block is a very nice heavy weight block of wood -- much heavier and nicer than I even expected. And, apparently, the knives have the right "feel" to my husband. He raves about them whenever he uses them!

So, if you want a great knife set and don't want to pay double the price at a local department store, give these a try! We are VERY pleased with ours!

Knifes cut wonderfully ... I would reccommend it to anyone that needs a nice set of knives but doesnt want to pay over $$$$!

It's obvious that the people who have written these reviews are not professional chefs or even people who have used these knives heavily for any length of time. If they had, they would have noticed that the thick metal whatever-the-heck-it-is at the bottom of the blade does not sharpen. In other words, as the years go by (just a few years mind you) and you have to have your knives sharpened occasionally, the blade will wear down, but the thick metal part at the handle WILL NOT. What does that mean? It means that your knife will become somewhat bowed, and that you will no longer be able to cut all the way through whatever it is you are cutting. In essence, it does not make sense to make ANY PART of the blade thicker than another. It just won't wear evenly. Trust me on this, I've been a professional chef for 14 years. Even back in culinary school, we did not use these types of knives. They are for the occasional user and for show only!!!

I am not disputing the quality of Henckel knives! I love them. In fact, I encourage anyone to buy them... Just buy the GOURMET series, which is what any real professional uses. They'll last until the day you die, they are far less expensive, and they wear EVENLY. Unless you are just buying these for show and you want to look cool...then by all means, buy the pretty knives. Just try not to sharpen them more then a couple of times for the rest of your life.

I have used my new knives for about a week now and am extremely impressed with how easily they but through whatever I'm trying to cut through, and how perfectly they feel in my hand. Their weight, and extreme sharpness, allow you to exert very little effort in slicing through food. I compared them side-by-side to my other store-bought set of knives, and even after using the sharpening steel on the old set, I just couldn't achieve anywhere near the same degree of razor-sharpness as have the Henckels. Not that it matters to me, but the 8 steak knives are stamped, rather than forged, but they are still extremely sharp none the less. Unfortunately, however, the knives do not comes with any care instructions, nor instructions as to how to use the sharpening steel. It took some Internet research and some practice on my old knives to begin to feel comfortable sharpening these. In any case, you can't go wrong, albeit the price is pretty high for this set of knives.

I take exception to Mr. Michael George's (Scottsdale, AZ.) reveiw of this knife set, Henckels Pro "S" series and forged, bolstered knives in general.

If he has been a professional for 14 years then he should have learned the term "bolster" by now...and he should have been able to sharpen his knives properly without wearing the edge out...he's probably using an electric sharpener or sending them out. The culinary school reference is questionable also...Le Cordon Bleu uses Mundail knives...etc.

This a top of the line set and shouldn't be maligned out of ignorance. If you learn how to use the steel that is provided and a good fine stone then these will last you a lifetime.

Imagine my disappointment when these knives arrived and were light weight and poorly balanced.

Imagine my outrage when I was charged a $16.00 restocking fee in addition to a $7.11 postage fee!!

I have reread all of the return policy information, which is, A LOT, and no where is there any mention of a restocking fee.

Amazon seems to be losing it if they are going to screw people over when they send over priced and inferior merchandise!

I was looking to get a quality set of steak knives at a reasonable price. These knives are sharp, balanced and easy to use, obviously well made. My family is delighted with them.

The wood presentation box is a nice touch.

All in all, a very good value.

Call me lazy but I have discovered that this steak knife set makes a wonderful wedding gift and have bought 4 of them in the past six months. You can't beat the combination of quality and beauty when giving this set as a gift ! The price is right and I get rave reviews for my choice on every thank you card.

Yea.. it works... but... you're going to bake, what... 3 cookies on it? The only good thing about it is that it fits nicely in my toaster oven. Other than that, it's not worth the money.

I love this cookie sheet! Since it is nonstick, there is no need to grease this baby up. This means that your cookies will turn out even all over, not with a heavy bottom. The cookies that I made on this sheet turned out perfect-- even all around, high and light and airy! This cookie sheet is a dream to clean up. If you are on a quest to make perfect cookies than this is one tool you can't live without!

This is the best cookware I have ever purchased. It heats perfectly. It is very easy to clean. You will not be disappointed in your purchase.

Did anyone use this before reviewing it? It is fairly good for doing onions, tomatoes, celery and such. For meats, cheese, nuts and other stuff, it stinks! Clean up involves messing with difficult to reach places (like the hopper). I prefer something to be much simpler, I want to save time not waste more. I'd rather use a chopping knife than this thing. For my money, the Black & Decker mini is much better for the same price, or even less.

This micro food processor looks a bit like the big ones, but its always a kitchen event to break out a processor. You know its time to prepare a big meal, or some special dish. For that you need a big food processor. Choppers are something you want to use, rinse off and put back on the shelf. When it works, the direct to the bowl feature is nice, but you still have to clean up after.

This is a good little food processor and I was very pleased with the shortcut attachment. Unfortunately, one trip to the dishwasher warped the plastic and now it is unusable. I would recommend this product if you don't mind washing it by hand, which I would have been willing to do if only I'd known.

This is my best kitchen appliance. I'm now cooking things that I avoided because they called for too much chopping, slicing, and dicing. I don't understand the one person's negative review. Hello! It only costs 19.99, what did you expect? Plus, everything can go into the dishwasher! Love it, and you will too.

When I first bought this product, I loved it. I'm a lefty and it's difficult finding a can opener which is easy to use and I was very satisfied for the first few months. However, after a few months of use, it got rusty and was difficult to use. I was very surprised because I always believed Hoffritz had food quality products

I love this can opener. It works great for left or right handed people. It is really tough and heavy duty. I might buy another one in case this ever breaks, but I don't think it would be necessary. My husband likes it because it will chew through anything in seconds. It cuts like butter, and has a big gear and a good grip. The handles are nice and big so you can get a good grip on it, and it has a bottle opener on the top, which works great. I keep it in my favorite kitchen drawer.

This can opener is wonderful! It is very sharp so it opens cans so easily. Also, since it is all stainless, it can be cleaned in the dishwasher, which is the real reason I purchased it. When I my father used at my house he had to buy one for himself. I had been through two of the new "safe" can openers-one was manual which broke after a month or so of use and the other was an electric one which won't open but a few types of cans. So don't waste your money on those types. This can opener will be the last one you will need for a long time.

It's does not vac at all. I am going to get a canister vac like my friends from Eurica, they worked great. Uprights are always too loud and does not clean well. My only good vac was the upright that's cordless. It does not clean very well, but does the everyday job of picking up dirt. My ex-wife got it and still using it. I need to get one. Wasted hundreds on Hoover and Dirt Devil's upright too. Purchase 3 Hoover in my life time and are not happy. 3 strikes, your out Hoover. I'll get a Eureka canister vac for sure.

I purchased the Hoover steam vac to help clean up all the puppy stains in my carpet. I have tried those portable vacuums that you can get in the pet shops, I must say this hoover vacuum did wonders for my floors and stairs. It is very easy to use while cleaning. The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is because it is hard to take the canisters off and put back on for dumping and filling. I would defentley recommend this product over those portable vacuums.

I have two dogs and messy people in our home. After contacting a local carpet cleaner to do a wool area rug I have at the exhorbitant price of $180, I decided that for that price, I could get a steam cleaner and do it myself. I did a lot of research before getting this.

What a great machine this is because of the turbo brushes. They get deep down into the fibers and really scrub and clean the rug. The colors popped as if new again. I did every rug in the house. I too boiled some the water I added to the machine so it would stay hot while I worked. It is pretty easy to set up and use as well.

To the person who gave this a bad rating I say " This is not a Vacuum Cleaner." This is a carpet steamer/cleaner. You have to vacuum your rugs BEFORE your clean them..... Read the instructions.

I think you will use and like this machine and be very glad you got one.

Juicers are cool, untill you have to clean them. but I didn't know that before I wasted 80 bucks. that's why I'm telling you this right now. Like you, I was all excited about getting a juicer. I ran home and started making juice. And everything was good...until I had to clean it. Now, I don't have a dish washer, so I do things by hand. And cleaning this by hand is a pain!

Also, an other good thing to know about juicers and the juice they make, is that in order for the juice that you made to be healty, you MUST drink it right when you make it. Also, you have to drink VERY slowly. This is because the saliva in your mouth help break down the food before it gets into your stomach. And in order for you to get all the vitamins you juiced, you have to drink slowly.

All this stuff makes my juicer more of a pain then a salvation. If you want to drink healthy, I recommend you go to your local store, spend 2 bucks and buy a bottle of V-8

Because juice should be consumed shortly after preparation, for the best nutrient benefit, I like that this unit puts the juice directly into a drinking glass. Our Juicelady Jr. Electric Juicer JL210A has provided numerous glasses of juice and continues to perform well. I am impressed with its functionality and the juice extracted via it.

I also like that the pulp is expelled into an detached basket, allowing it to be easily disposed of. This is especially beneficial when juicing concord grapes with the skin and stems on them. The juice goes into the glass and the rubbish is expelled out the other side/end. I have found that I like to put a small bag in the basket, this makes clean up super easy.

The small recipe book - Fresh Juice Recipes & Menu Planner - included with purchase provides a brief synopsis regarding the benefits of fresh fruits and vegetables. We read ways to improve our overall diet, how to prepare produce for juicing, and we are provided with approximately 83 recipes.

It is my opinion that the Juicelady Jr. is easy to use, quick to clean, and durable. The preferred method for washing is via warm sudsy water, clear rinse, and air-dried. The juice bowl, cover, blade basket, and plunger are top rack dishwasher safe, but it is recommended that this be an occasional option - not the normal method. Occasionally it takes a little extra time to clean the blade basket.

I recommend this juicer for those who desire a glass of fresh juice in the morning or at other prompted times. In conclusion, assembly and operation is easy, clean-up takes little time, and the juice extracted tastes great.

We were pleansantly surprised by this little juice extractor. Seems to have excellent power; considerably quieter than some other juicers and quite easy to clean and for us....the price was right! We love it and hope to use it most every day.

The pots are nice, But there must have been a crack in the glass lid. While cooking sauce the lid shattered and then exploded right in my face. please look over the lids carefully after delivery.

My husband and I have been using this Mirro set since September 2002 and they are wonderful... food doesn't stick and they are nicely sized. Quality and convience apply to this set, plus the lid for the large pot fits on the bigger skillet which allows you to simmer food. If you want a great bargain and quality- go ahead and buy these!!!

This is a very good item. It really worked well in my new apartment since I just moved out of college. It was cheap and works really well for all the things I cook. This item has made cooking a whole lot better.
